NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes for Las Vegas-2 - South Point 400 (2025)

Ty Gibbs - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR practice speeds, lap averages and notes for the 2025 South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Use the NASCAR stats and data to build DFS lineups on DraftKings. Ty Gibbs was fastest.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming South Point 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-car field was split into two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Ross Chastain - The No. 1 Chevrolet got into the wall pretty hard, as Chastain entered turn three a little too high and lost control of the car. Ross mentioned that the Trackhouse team was going to assess the damage. He was the fastest on the track at that time.

Denny Hamlin - Hamlin was one of the fastest in practice, but he wasn't happy with his No. 11 Toyota at all. He eventually brought it back down pit road for adjustments, saying he was  having a very difficult time driving it.

William Byron - The No. 24 Chevrolet was noticeably fast in this practice session. The booth mentioned that Rudy Fugle and the team learned a lot at Kansas a couple of weeks ago, which helped them get on track for the setup here at Vegas.
