We head into Week 6 of the NFL season, kicking things off with an NFC East clash on Thursday Night Football and closing the week's slate with a Monday Night Football doubleheader.

Week 5 was a slate filled with several surprises - we're looking at you, Arizona Cardinals - will those continue this week?

Philadelphia Eagles 27, New York Giants 14 (Thursday Night)

Despite a 4-0 start to the season, Philadelphia opted to pivot away from its run-heavy approach in a Week 5 matchup with the Broncos. The result was a season-high 38 pass attempts for Jalen Hurts, a season-low six rushing attempts for Saquon Barkley, and the first loss of the year for the Eagles.

Look for Philly to re-establish Barkley and the ground game in this Thursday night divisional clash with the Giants. New York's defense has been gashed for 5.6 yards per carry this season. We can also expect the talented Eagles defense to force rookie QB Jaxson Dart into some mistakes, and for Nick Sirianni's group to resume their winning ways.

Denver Broncos 28, New York Jets 17 (London - International Series)

The Broncos finally looked like the team that many expected in an impressive Week 5 road win over the Eagles. Sean Payton's group is coming together on the defensive side of the ball, as Denver has allowed just 20 total points over their last two games. We can expect this defense to continue to shine in London against a winless Jets squad.

New York is in the discussion for the worst team in the NFL as things currently stand. First-year head coach Aaron Glenn has failed to energize Gang Green in any facet to this point. Things could again get ugly for the Jets against a more talented and polished Broncos team.

Indianapolis Colts 31, Arizona Cardinals 21

Last week's brutal loss to the previously winless Titans was a great reminder that the Cardinals are perhaps the most unreliable team in the NFL. They face a tough rebound spot, as they must travel cross-country for a 1 pm ET kickoff against the 4-1 Colts.

If we toss the coin-flip results against the Rams and Broncos out the window, we still find an Indy team that's been taking care of business against inferior opponents with one of the league's most efficient offenses.

Daniel Jones and company have handled the Dolphins, Titans, and Raiders by a total combined score of 114-34. While I wouldn't quite put Arizona in the same class as those teams, they aren't currently playing near Indy's level.

Los Angeles Rams 23, Baltimore Ravens 14

Last week's 44-10 blowout home loss to the Texans sure feels like a rock-bottom moment for the Ravens. However, with quarterback Lamar Jackson still questionable for Week 6, as well as the almost-comical number of defensive injuries that Baltimore is still dealing with, there isn't much reason to be optimistic about a Ravens rebound in this spot against a savvy Rams squad.

Sean McVay's bunch will be looking to bounce back from their own tough Week 5 loss. L.A. dropped a heartbreaker in overtime to divisional rival San Francisco last Thursday night. Look for Matthew Stafford and this talented passing attack to take full advantage of Baltimore's heavily depleted defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers 20, Cleveland Browns 16

The 3-1 Steelers come into this divisional meeting with the Browns well rested following a Week 5 bye. Mike Tomlin's squad played perhaps their best game of the season in a Week 4 win over the Vikings in London and will look to capitalize on that momentum against a Cleveland squad that is coming off its own trip to London last week.

Rookie Dillon Gabriel did provide a bit of a spark for a Browns offense that's been DOA in 2025, leading Cleveland to 17 points against Minnesota in his NFL debut last week. However, Gabriel could hit the skids against a T.J. Watt-led Steelers defense that appears to be rounding into form following a shaky start to the season.

Seattle Seahawks 24, Jacksonville Jaguars 23

Following a dramatic win over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, the 4-1 Jaguars are one of the biggest surprises in football. While first-year head coach Liam Coen is known as an offensive guru, it's been Jacksonville's defense that's truly impressed, allowing just 20 points per game through their first five.

The Jags will look to contain Sam Darnold and the Seahawks in Week 6. Seattle heads to Duval on the heels of a tough loss to the Bucs last week. Despite the setback, Mike Macdonald's defense looks to be a trending unit that should force a feel-good Jags squad to pump the brakes.

Los Angeles Chargers 24, Miami Dolphins 17

Following a 3-0 start to the season, Jim Harbaugh's Chargers have now dropped two straight. Injuries have mounted up for the Bolts, who will now be without rookie running back Omarion Hampton, while offensive line studs Joe Alt and Mekhi Becton are listed as questionable for this South Beach tilt with the Dolphins.

The combination of Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal will attempt to fill Hampton's shoes in the L.A. backfield. The duo will look to take advantage of an abysmal Miami defensive front that's allowing a league-worst 174.2 rushing yards per game to opponents.

Dallas Cowboys 35, Carolina Panthers 28

For all the issues the Cowboys have - and there are plenty - moving the football isn't one of them. Dallas heads into a Week 6 meeting with the Panthers averaging a league-high 413.8 total yards per game.

Despite the likely absence of CeeDee Lamb and multiple offensive linemen, this Dak Prescott-led attack should find little resistance against a Carolina defense that's struggled to consistently get pressure on opposing QBs. While the Cowboys' own defense is also one of the NFL's worst units, I don't expect Bryce Young to be able to keep pace in this potential shootout.

New England Patriots 24, New Orleans Saints 14

The Patriots notched the biggest win of the Drake Maye era with a 23-20 upset of the Bills on Sunday night. New England's second-year QB was exceptional in Week 5, and has thrown for 1,261 yards and seven TDs with just two INTs this season. Stefon Diggs was in vintage form last week and should continue to play an integral part in this trending Pats offense against New Orleans.

The scuffling Saints scored their first victory of 2025 last week over the Giants, but this is a team that still has plenty of holes. Alvin Kamara has looked washed and must now take on a Patriot defensive front that's allowing just over 85 rushing yards per game. New England's rise should continue here; look for their defense to clamp down on the Saints.

Las Vegas Raiders 21, Tennessee Titans 20

This battle of 1-4 teams is a lowlight on the Week 6 slate. The Pete Carroll era in Vegas has gotten off to a rocky start thanks to Brock Bowers' injury issues and Geno Smith's horrendous play behind a porous Raiders offensive line. Luckily for the Silver & Black, they are hosting the just-as-bad Titans this week.

Tennessee got its first win of the season last week over the Cardinals. Perhaps it isn't a coincidence that rookie QB Cam Ward received his best protection of the year against Arizona. That likely won't be the case this week against all-world Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby.

We can expect a real pillow fight here, with Vegas leaning on Ashton Jeanty and the ground game against a Titans defense that's coughing up the third-most rushing yards in the NFL per game.

Tampa Bay Bucs 27, San Francisco 49ers 24

Week 5 was yet another fourth-quarter comeback win for the Bucs. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is playing at an MVP-caliber level for a Tampa offense that's averaging 27 points per game. With wide receiver Mike Evans still out, the Bucs may also be without sparkplug running back Bucky Irving for this meeting with the Niners.

Injury issues also abound for San Francisco, as Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, and Jauan Jennings all missed the team's Thursday night win over the Rams in Week 5. While they have some extra days to get healthy, that trio remains questionable for Week 6 as of this writing.

Niners defensive coordinator Robert Saleh has whipped this unit into shape in short order, though the absence of Nick Bosa's potent pass-rushing ability will be sorely missed in this matchup against the dynamic Bucs.

Green Bay Packers 30, Cincinnati Bengals 13

Cincinnati's recent acquisition of Joe Flacco from Cleveland feels a little like putting a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound. While Flacco almost has to be an improvement over Jake Browning, it's fair to wonder how long the 40-year-old can stay upright behind Cincy's swiss-cheese offensive line.

Green Bay comes in off a bye week and should be eager to rebound from a two-game stretch that included a 13-10 loss to Flacco and the Cleveland Browns, as well as a 40-40 tie game with the Dallas Cowboys. Micah Parsons and the Packers defense should shine in this matchup against a Bengals squad that's been pathetic in the absence of Joe Burrow.

Detroit Lions 28, Kansas City Chiefs 27 (Sunday Night)

Conventional wisdom tells us that the Chiefs will eventually get things sorted out. However, KC dropped to 2-3 with a Monday night loss to the Jaguars. Patrick Mahomes and company will try to get back to .500 against the 4-1 Lions on Sunday night.

Since a season-opening loss to Green Bay, Dan Campbell's bunch has been a buzzsaw, winning its last four by an average margin of 19 points per game. Despite last week's heartbreaking loss, don't expect the Chiefs to roll over. This will be a tight, highly competitive game.

Atlanta Falcons 24, Buffalo Bills 23 (Monday Night)

The well-rested Falcons come off a bye week to host the Bills in the first game of a Monday night doubleheader. Buffalo heads to the ATL fresh off its first loss of the season against the Patriots on Sunday night.

Josh Allen is certainly capable of Superman-like feats, but this Buffalo squad is not without faults. Atlanta is uniquely suited to attack Buffalo's most prominent weakness, namely a defensive front that's coughing up just over 145 rushing yards per game. Falcons running backs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier will look to pound the rock and help Atlanta spring the upset here.

Washington Commanders 28, Chicago Bears 20 (Monday Night)

Jayden Daniels returned from a two-game absence to lead Washington to a win over the Chargers in Week 5. Daniels and the Commanders will host the Chicago Bears to close out the Week 6 slate on Monday night.

After a 0-2 start, Chicago won two in a row ahead of their Week 5 bye. The offense has looked improved under new head coach Ben Johnson, with the Bears averaging just over 25 points per game. Unfortunately, Chicago's defense hasn't found nearly as much success, standing 23rd in the NFL in defensive DVOA. Daniels and this Commanders' attack should put some points on the board at home.
