High-Upside Bench Stashes: Sneaky Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds Before Week 13

Pat Bryant - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Injury News

Andy's must-have bench stashes and sneaky fantasy football waiver wire adds, sleepers ahead of Week 13 in 2025. Pick up these high-upside players before Week 13.

Hey RotoBallers! The fantasy football playoffs are just two weeks away, and it is more important now than ever to stash high-upside lottery tickets. Throughout the season, managers have seen many "stash" candidates enter must-start status, such as Oronde Gadsden II, Jaxson Dart, and Kimani Vidal.

This weekend, we will discuss two must-stash handcuff running backs and an emerging tight end that is nearing "start" territory and is still available in almost 80% of Yahoo leagues.

However, these suggestions are not meant to be your "one-week" replacement players. The vast majority of these players hold minimal standalone value but could become must-start players as soon as they receive a boost in the depth chart. All players suggested are available in at least 75% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Running Backs

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams
15% rostered

While Chris Rodriguez Jr. made my column last week and would headline this RB category once again, given that he is available in 78% of leagues, for the sake of not repeating myself, let's take a look at another top stash candidate.

Blake Corum may be the handcuff with the highest upside in fantasy football. Corum is currently operating as the clear RB2 in Los Angeles and would take on a massive workload if Kyren Williams were to miss time down the stretch, and would win leagues. Through 12 weeks, Corum has been given the clear RB2 role, as Ronnie Rivers (the team's RB3) has only appeared in one game this season.

In fact, for a brief period this season, Corum almost held viable low-end FLEX standalone value. From Weeks 7 through 10, Corum logged double-digit attempts in each game, averaging 12.7 per game. During this stretch, Corum averaged 4.0 YPC and even eclipsed 50 yards in two games.

However, since this brief surge in workload, Corum has reverted to the handcuff role, which is why his rostership has dropped below the 75% mark. During Weeks 11 and 12, Corum has seen just 7.5 attempts per game and has posted a much lower 2.3 YPC.

Even though his standalone value appears to be dropping, his hand value remains very high. Williams continues to possess elite TD upside, which could pave a clear path for Corum to become a high-end RB2 if he were to take the starting job. Williams has punched in nine scores (six through the ground) and has averaged 16.0 PPR points per game.

If you have a bench spot, Corum should be a priority.

Isaiah Davis, New York Jets
10% rostered

The other handcuff running back to consider holding on your bench is Isaiah Davis. Davis, like Corum, has faced minimal competition for the RB2 position since Braelon Allen (knee) suffered a knee injury. Since Week 7, Davis has logged at least 28% of the snaps in each of the contests and has even hit the 40% snap mark twice during this stretch.

However, during this five-game stretch, Davis has had minimal standalone value, similar to most handcuff running backs. He only eclipsed double-digit PPR points once, which was in Week 8 when he totaled 15.9 PPR points during their upset victory over the Bengals.

While he may not have as many handcuff upside as Corum, given the Jets' inconsistent offensive attack, Davis has shown the ability to draw targets, which would give him three-down upside in the case that Breece Hall misses time. Managers in deeper 12+ team leagues should look to stash Davis ahead of Week 13.

Other RBs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Wide Receivers

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers
15% rostered

Similar to Rodriguez, as mentioned above, Luther Burden III has been in my column for several weeks, and for the sake of not repeating myself, let's look at two other potential lottery tickets at the WR position. Coker had a slow start to the season due to a quadriceps injury, but has seen his role gradually increase during the second half.

After seeing only 37% of the snaps in his season debut in Week 7, Coker has gone on to see at least 60% in each game since. In addition, during their most recent Week 12 loss to the 49ers, Coker saw a season-high 82% of the snap, a stark increase from the 67% he saw back in Week 11.

Over his past three games, Coker has seen at least four targets per game but is only averaging 3.3 receptions per game with 35.0 yards per game. While his box score is not particularly impressive, seeing him continue to see reliable targets and his snap share increase are positive signs.

With potent high-scoring affairs against the Buccaneers and the Seahawks lined up in the fantasy playoffs, Coker is an intriguing stash in deeper PPR formats.

Pat Bryant, Denver Broncos
5% rostered

The other WR to consider stashing is rookie Pat Bryant of the Denver Broncos. After seeing just 1.9 targets per game over his first nine games of the season, Bryant has begun to carve out a role in the offense. Even though he is playing behind Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin, Bryant has begun to make an impact.

During their victory over the Chiefs in Week 11, Bryant caught a season-high five passes for 82 yards. The week prior, he made just one catch, but made an immediate impact, tallying 43 yards on his lone reception.

Rookies coming out of their bye week typically see an uptick in workload. Just look at Brian Thomas Jr. last season. While Bryant is nowhere near the prospect that Thomas was, he is now firmly locked into the No. 3 role in the offense and appears poised to continue to find his footing down the stretch. He is a sneaky target for those in 14-team formats looking to fill their final bench spot with an upside shot.

Other WRs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Tight Ends

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars
20% rostered

Brenton Strange is one of the few players in this column who can be put into your starting lineup this weekend. Strange was a popular waiver target before suffering a hip injury, which landed him on the IR. During his first four games of the season (before suffering the injury in Week 5), Strange averaged 9.3 PPR points per game with 5.8 targets per game.

In his return, last Sunday, Strange quickly reclaimed a prominent role in the offense, catching all five of his targets for 93 yards, despite sharing routes with the recently-acquired Jakobi Meyers and the emerging Parker Washington.

Still sitting on the waiver wire in nearly 80% of leagues, Strange is not only a viable streaming plug-and-play but a top high-end TE2 to stash on your bench as an injury replacement. Even though Thomas will make his return from an ankle injury this weekend, Strange has become a go-to option for Trevor Lawrence in the middle of the field.

If you have an inconsistent TE1, Strange should be a priority target ahead of the main slate.

Other TEs to Consider Stashing:

High-Upside Fantasy Football Stashes - Quarterbacks

Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
10% rostered

Tyler Shough had a disappointing outing coming out of his bye week, but he is still worth stashing in deeper 14-team formats. Prior to their bye week, Shough enjoyed a strong showing, throwing for 282 yards with two scores in their upset victory over the Panthers. However, in Week 12, Shough went 30-for-43 for only 243 yards, no scores, and an interception in their loss to the Falcons.

Since taking over the starting job, Shough has averaged 31.0 passing attempts per game, which is a positive sign and suggests Kellen Moore and the Saints are willing to let him push the ball downfield. With top running back Alvin Kamara (knee) on the shelf, expect Shough's passing attempts to continue to climb down the stretch.
