NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 5/11/24
The race for Lord Stanley continues!! Will the nightmare bear strike once again or can Carolina keep their playoff hopes alive? Tonight we have a two-game slate and no teams playing on a back-to-back. The currently live top-two highest implied team totals are, Colorado with 3.5 and Dallas with 3.2. I will do my best to guide you through this two-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Igor Shesterkin - DK $8.2K || FD $7.8K
Opponent - Carolina Hurricanes
Unfortunately, the time has come when Igor Shesterkin has seen a hefty salary rise, despite not playing at home. The netminder in his last five playoff games has a 5-0 record with a 2.01 Goals Against Average and a 0.940 Save Percentage, taking the crown for the top goalie in the playoffs thus far. Tonight he has the opportunity to end Carolina’s playoff run once and for all with the Rangers up 3-0 in the series. With Carolina in full desperation mode, they are expected to increase their shot production tenfold compared to what they already have. This leads Shesterkin to another potential ceiling game. Also keep in mind that in Shesterkin’s last two games alone, he has made 99 saves on 104 attempts and has registered the Save Bonus on Draftkings in both appearances.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Sebastian Aho - DK $6.9K || FD $8.8K
Opponent - New York Rangers
Swinging to the other end of the ice, we have center, Sebastian Aho. In eight playoff games this season, Aho has just two goals and is barely reaching a point-per-game pace. This is concerning, considering the amount of weight he bares offensively for the Hurricanes and that he has Jake Guentzel playing with him at all times. Nevertheless, Aho is expected to put it all on the line tonight in a desperate fight to keep his team’s playoff hopes alive. In his last five playoff appearances, he has six assists, 18 shots and six blocked shots. The center is expected to register five shots and one point tonight.

Artturi Lehkonen - DK $5.4K || FD $6.8K
Opponent - Dallas Stars
Lehkonen did not disappoint Thursday night, registering one assist, five shots and one blocked shot in a 5-3 loss at Dallas. Tonight he and the Avalanche return home for Game Three and their first home game of the series. He may see a few different line combinations from Dallas, however, he is still expected to see the majority of the matchups he has seen so far in this series. With that said, he is expected to continue generating three or more shots per game and a point is also expected out of him tonight.

Brady Skjei - DK $4.3K || FD $5.6K
Opponent - New York Rangers
Along the lines of teammate and center Sebastian Aho, Brady Skjei will also be generating higher peripheral volume tonight in an attempt to keep his team alive. The two-way defenseman has generated four assists, 13 shots and seven blocked shots in his last five playoff outings. After a woeful performance on Thursday, he is expected to have a major bounce back in a do-or-die scenario. Expect Skjei to produce four shots and three blocked shots.
