Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (10/4/25) main slate in Week 6. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.
As we get further into fall, more of the marquee games start falling into the afternoon time slots. We have a dozen games in the main slate again, with some intriguing matchups. Kansas State in Waco is going to be fun for DFS. Clemson in Chapel Hill will likely be fun for no one. Kentucky heads to Athens to face a tough Georgia team.
Iowa State, missing most of its secondary, heads to Cincinnati. Illinois is in West Lafayette. We have Wisconsin in the Big House. Oklahoma State gets to have some fun in Tucson. Boise heads to Notre Dame to see if a Group of 5 team can topple the Irish for the fourth time in five years. Vandy in Tuscaloosa is the moneymaker. Texas in the Swamp looks like a defensive battle. Virginia in Louisville feels exciting. We close out with Penn State playing another awful team in UCLA.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
CJ Carr, Notre Dame ($9.1K)
Of all of the top teams that had unknown quarterbacks coming into the season (Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, and the Irish), Carr has been the most successful so far. That's saying a lot because Notre Dame has played nothing but Power 4 teams in 2025. That ends here.
The Irish have scored 112 points in the last two games, proving that this year's team has some offensive chops. Carr has been at the center of that with six touchdown passes in those two games. He doesn't have the rushing ability that some do, but he does have a great matchup.
Avery Johnson, Kansas State ($7.6K)
How important is Avery Johnson running the football for K-State? Since 2023, K-State is 9-2 when he runs for at least 50 yards in a game and has scored less than 28 points just twice (Ls at Iowa State and BYU in 24).

This is such a great spot for Johnson. Baylor had trouble with both Jackson Arnold and Sam Leavitt, dual-threat guys who tore them apart in both facets of the game. Johnson has been at his best this season when Dylan Edwards is healthy, which he is.
Johnson's floor is scary, but I will say this. In the three Kansas State losses, Johnson has run for a combined 19 yards. In the two wins, Johnson has 118 rushing yards. Given Baylor's struggles with mobile quarterbacks, this feels like a win and a game in which Johnson goes over 50 rushing yards.
Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt ($7.1K)
Hero ball didn't work against Alabama for many years. Now it does. Pavia carried 20 times against the Tide last year. This is the way Vanderbilt will be looking to attack the Tide again. Pavia has at least 40 rushing yards in all but the South Carolina game this year, where it was already out of hand, and he didn't need to run.
Pavia accounted for six total touchdowns last week. His ceiling is as high as anyone. Florida State gouged the Alabama defense with Thomas Castellanos and a few backs. Vandy will attempt to do it with just Pavia.
Maddux Madsen, Boise State ($6.2K)
I'm a little nervous about this since the Irish manhandled the Arkansas offense. Madsen doesn't have the horses around him that Texas A&M did to turn this into a shootout. I do expect Boise to be trailing for much of the game. There's potential for Madsen to throw the ball quite a bit and flirt with 300 passing yards. That would be a nice return for this price.

Love did all of that in the first half against Arkansas. We know what Notre Dame needs to do this year. It's the same as last year. They need to win and win big. Love has at least 30 DraftKings points in three straight games. He's expensive, but you know exactly what you're getting. How many players can you say that about?
Dylan Edwards, Kansas State ($7.5K)
Baylor has allowed 201.8 rushing yards per game. It's not just mobile quarterbacks that get to them. Kansas State is a run-first team anyway. Edwards could be in for a monster day. Yes, even if Avery Johnson goes off. Edwards ran for 166 yards and a touchdown last week in his return to action.
Adam Randall, Clemson ($6.6K)
I don't know what Clemson will look like out of the bye, but I wouldn't think they would mess with anything Randall is doing. Randall has been the only bright spot on the offense. He has over 20 touches in two of the last three games.
North Carolina isn't a good team, and likely won't be this year. This is a volume play since Randall is the Clemson offense right now. It's just gravy that he's in a great situation this week.
Ismail Mahdi, Arizona ($6.1K)
I don't think Kedrick Reescano is getting his job back. Mahdi has 40 touches in the last two games. Oklahoma State has allowed 245.3 rushing yards per game this year. Only five teams are worse, and none of those five are on this DFS slate. There is huge potential for Mahdi here.
Dylan Riley, Boise State ($4.4K)
The Boise backfield is a bit convoluted right now, but Riley is a big play waiting to happen. Riley is also the best receiver out of the Boise backfield. He has 20 and 17 touches over the last two games. Not many backs at this price get that kind of workload.

Georgia funneled everything away from Williams last week. Vanderbilt may try to do the same, but I don't know if it works. Williams caught Alabama's only passing touchdown against Vanderbilt last year. I love Germie Bernard in this spot, too. Use whichever Alabama receiver you can afford. You'll want at least one of them.
Josh Cameron, Baylor ($6.7K)
Sawyer Robertson leads the country in passing yards, so you know that there are a lot of yards to go around. Cameron has 25 receptions in the last four games after being shut down by Auburn. The Baylor defense will always make sure that the offense can't rest. There should be plenty of points in this one.
Cyrus Allen, Cincinnati ($5.7K)
Allen was a monster at Kansas last week, picking up 11 receptions for 128 yards and two scores. Allen has five touchdowns in the last three games. Iowa State will be operating without both starting cornerbacks. Allen could be in for a huge day!
Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt ($3.9K)
Stowers was the go-to guy for Pavia against Alabama last year. He caught six passes for 113 yards in the upset and should be heavily involved this year as well. South Carolina is the only team to "hold" Stowers to single-digit DraftKings points this year. He still ended up with 7.5. Stowers is way underpriced for the production he provides.
Chase Sowell, Iowa State ($3.2K)
I feel like Sowell's explosion last week against Arizona coming out of the bye isn't a fluke. Iowa State has been trying to find a go-to receiver downfield all season. Sowell is the guy who stepped up in practice. It feels like last week is just the beginning. For this price range, I'm going to take the chance that I'm right.
Cincinnati has a really tough run defense, but the Bearcats allow 312.8 passing yards per game. Iowa State is going to have to attack the Bearcats through the air. Sowell is going to make Rocco Becht feel comfortable doing so.

DraftKings CFB DFS Stacks
Kansas State vs. Baylor
The Baylor defense is a total disaster. Hey, isn't Dave Aranda supposed to be a defensive guy? I expect most will run Edwards and Avery Johnson and call it good. We can go deeper than that.
Johnson and Edwards are the elite plays. Jayce Brown is expected to play in this one, so I'm all for adding him too. Jerand Bradley will also return this week. He was productive in the lineup over the first two games. I like the four-man K-State look since many will just go with Johnson/Edwards and call it good.
The good news is that you can run this stack back with Robertson/Josh Cameron and still have $7.6K to fill out the last RB and flex spots. There are enough cheap receivers to make this happen.
Notre Dame vs. Boise State
I expect many to go with Notre Dame mini stacks. Carr/Love and Love/Jadarian Price. That's leaving points on the field. The good news is that we can run Carr with both backs and still add to this stack because the Notre Dame receivers are cheap.
We can add Malachi Fields and Eli Raridon to this and still have $17.4K to fill out the last three slots. You can use anyone you want at Superflex thanks to the plethora of great underpriced receivers on this slate.

- Clemson (expensive WR makes it difficult, so low ownership)
- Georgia
- Vanderbilt (GPP only)
