Sam LaPorta, TE, Lions
Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta had by far his best game of the 2025 season in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, recording five catches for 92 yards and a touchdown on six targets. LaPorta now has 21 catches for 269 yards and a score on 27 targets through five games.
However, the Lions have a difficult matchup in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City has allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards (999) and the fourth-fewest number of passing touchdowns (five) in the NFL so far this season.
The Chiefs are also particularly stingy against tight ends, allowing an average of just 3.6 receptions and 32.8 yards per game to the position. Still, LaPorta will likely be the Lions' second-leading target-getter behind star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown. LaPorta profiles as a must-start fantasy tight end in Week 6.
Jameson Williams, WR, Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has struggled to maintain a consistent role in his team's offense so far this season. Through five games, the 24-year-old has recorded just 11 catches for 223 yards and one touchdown on 21 targets. Williams is averaging over 20 yards per reception and remains an explosive downfield threat, but his middling target volume makes him very difficult for fantasy managers to trust.
Williams' Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs does not appear to be a great spot for him to break out. The Chiefs have allowed the ninth-fewest passing yards (999) and the fourth-fewest number of passing touchdowns (five) in the NFL so far this season.
Additionally, the Lions could be without starting left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), which may make it difficult for quarterback Jared Goff to have the time to hit Williams for a big play down the field. Williams profiles as a low-end, boom/bust WR3/flex option in Week 6 against Kansas City.

Xavier Worthy, WR, Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will face the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in Week 6. Worthy was listed as a DNP on Thursday after practicing in full on Wednesday, leaving his status for the weekend in doubt heading into Friday. The young receiver then logged a full practice on Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday night's game.
Worthy had six catches for 42 yards in last week's 28-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The speedster led the team in targets but finished fourth in yardage, averaging just 7.0 yards per reception. Worthy has been battling shoulder and ankle injuries, but has still been the team's WR1 in the absence of Rashee Rice. With Rice still suspended until Week 7, Worthy should lead the team in targets against Detroit.
The Lions have scored the most points in the league this season, and the Chiefs will need to score often to keep up. In a game with a 52.5 O/U, Worthy should have plenty of opportunities to score fantasy points. Worthy is ranked WR11 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him an WR1 this week.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt will face the Detroit Lions in Week 6. Hunt was on the injury report with a calf injury, but practiced fully all week and was removed from the report ahead of this week's matchup. Hunt handled seven carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns in their Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran running back also caught one pass for eight yards last week.
Hunt averaged 7.0 yards per carry against the Jaguars, but a 33-yard run boosted his average. Hunt managed just 16 yards on his other six carries in the contest for a 2.7 yards per carry average. The 30-year-old has failed to average at 4.0 yards per carry in four of five games this season, but Kansas City has still given him the most valuable touches out of the backfield.
Hunt is the primary goal-line and passing downs back for the Chiefs despite his inefficiency, and that trend should continue this week. Kansas City will take on the Lions in a game where the O/U is 52.5 and the Chiefs are favored by 2.5 points. There should be plenty of scoring in this week's contest, and Hunt could be the one scoring touchdowns in this Chiefs backfield. Hunt is ranked RB35 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, putting him in the RB3 conversation this week.
