Nico Sturm Set to Miss 6-8 Weeks
Minnesota Wild center Nico Sturm (back) has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks. The German veteran aggravated a back injury in the team's preseason finale and must now wait until at least late November for his first regular-season appearance. Sturm is expected to undergo a back procedure. With him on the shelf, the Wild have to do without a battle-tested bottom-six forward. While Strum has never been much of a fantasy asset, he has won two Stanley Cups during his career. In 2024-25, Sturm tallied 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 62 regular-season outings with the San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers.
