Dennis' top NFL DFS picks for Week 2 (2025) and FanDuel lineup sleepers for the main slate. His top FD plays and value picks to target for Week 2 DFS lineups.

It wasn’t an ideal Week 1 for many of the top-ranked preseason fantasy options, with Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Burrow, A.J. Brown, and Brian Thomas Jr., to name a few, all finishing with below-average production. It’s easy to think the worst. With that said, it’s fair to assume at least some of the highest-scoring performers from the opening week will fizzle, so it’s important not to overreact.  

Week 2 will begin with the Commanders heading to Green Bay to meet the Packers at Lambeau Field. That will be followed by a juicy 13-game slate on Sunday and a doubleheader on Monday night to close out the week. As usual, there are injuries to consider, potentially opening the door for some value opportunities.  

 In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 2 daily fantasy football lineup picks for the 2025 NFL season. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Week 2 FanDuel Quarterbacks - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Lamar Jackson vs. CLE ($8,500) 

There aren’t many stable DFS quarterbacks for the second week of the 2025 campaign. However, DFS managers can get their hands on Jackson for an $8,500 rostering cost. That is a bargain. After the Ravens appeared on their way to beating the Bills on Sunday night, that’s not what happened. Instead, Buffalo pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in NFL History.

Now, coming off a loss, the birds should be ready to take out their aggression on Sunday versus Cleveland. Jackson has played well in previous meetings, throwing for 2,319 yards, 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions (13 games). He also totaled 747 yards and six scores on the run. That should be all the convincing DFS managers need. Get him in the lineup.   

Joe Burrow vs. JAX ($8,000) 

Burrow played poorly versus the Browns. The signal-caller finished with 113 passing yards while completing only 60.9% of his attempts. While he threw for one touchdown, fantasy managers were still disappointed with the result. Fortunately, the Bengals, a team known for slow starts over the years, picked up the much-needed divisional win. Cincinnati will look to keep it going in Week 2 versus the Jags. 

From a historical standpoint, Burrow has been dominant against Jacksonville. In two meetings, he’s thrown for 648 yards and three touchdowns (one interception) while accumulating a 111.6 passer rating. Granted, that doesn’t necessarily mean the former LSU Tiger will be as productive. However, Burrow is likely miserable after his Week 1 performance, so he should be extra-motivated to put on a show on Sunday.  

Also Consider: Trevor Lawrence ($7,000)

Week 2 FanDuel Running Backs - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Christian McCaffrey at NO ($8,900) 

McCaffrey logged a limited practice last Thursday. While that was concerning enough, panic set in once it was announced he missed Friday’s session and would carry a questionable designation heading into the opener versus Seattle. Luckily, the All-Pro managed to get on the field to help lead the 49ers to a narrow 17-13 win.

While McCaffrey managers are always one injury update away from a nervous breakdown, it appears all signs are pointing toward his availability for Sunday’s game versus the New Orleans Saints. San Francisco already announced George Kittle would miss time after landing on the Injured Reserve list because of a hamstring issue. To make matters worse, Brock Purdy will also miss time, and Jauan Jennings may not be out there. With so many injuries on the offensive side of the ball, McCaffrey should be busy for the favorable meeting with the Saints.  

James Conner vs. CAR ($7,700) 

Trey Benson didn’t look bad by any means in Sunday’s victory over the New Orleans Saints. Still, Conner is the workhorse here, with the 30-year-old logging 21 more snaps than Benson. That situation may change as the year progresses. For now, and the foreseeable future, fantasy managers can put Conner on their radars for the Week 2 clash with the Carolina Panthers. 

In 2024, the Panthers allowed more yards to opposing backs than any other team in the National Football League. Well, not much has changed on that front, with Carolina surrendering 173 yards to Travis Etienne Jr. and company in Week 1.  

Chase Brown vs. JAX ($7,500) 

The Bengals’ offense struggled against the Browns, thanks, in large part, to Myles Garrett’s two sacks and continuous pressure on Joe Burrow. Noah Fant found the end zone in that one, with Chase and Tee Higgins being held to a combined five receptions. Besides Fant, Brown was the only other Bengal to score a touchdown. 

He had only 43 yards off 21 carries for a hideous 2.0 yards per carry. Still, this type of performance isn’t uncommon for the 2023 No. 163 overall pick. Although most believe Chase and Higgins should pick things up versus the Jags, Brown should continue to get his touches and pass-catching opportunities out of the backfield. If anything, at least a touchdown or two isn’t unrealistic, especially if Cincinnati can move the offense down the field and into the Red Zone.  

Also Consider: Derrick Henry ($9,000), Tony Pollard ($5,900)

Week 2 FanDuel Wide Receivers - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brian Thomas Jr. at CIN ($7,600) 

Thomas was targeted seven times in the 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. Unfortunately, he was held to just one catch for 11 yards. Truth be told, the sophomore didn’t need to do much, with Travis Etienne Jr. getting it done on the ground.  

The Bengals defense should give Trevor Lawrence and the offense more problems, although it’s safe to say Cincinnati still has a lot of work to do on that side of the ball. This game could be closer than some would anticipate, so there’s a good chance both clubs might be throwing until the end.  

Tee Higgins vs. JAC ($7,100) 

As mentioned, the Cincinnati offense struggled to get anything going in Week 1. However, that’s nothing new, with the Bengals combining for just 29 points in their previous three season openers. However, with some adjustments, things should run much more smoothly in Week 2. 

Without question, Chase is the No. 1 wideout on the depth chart. Still, Higgins can get hot when needed. The 26-year-old, who received a new contract during the offseason, caught three passes (four targets) for 33 yards versus the Browns. With the Bengals and Jaguars projected to be the highest-scoring contest on the slate, Higgins is someone to consider, especially with a $7,100 rostering cost.

Also Consider: Ja'Marr Chase ($9,000), Puka Nacua ($8,400), Zay Flowers ($6,300), Tetairoa McMillan ($5,700), Calvin Ridley ($5,600), Keon Coleman ($5,300)

Week 2 FanDuel Tight Ends - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Trey McBride – vs. CAR ($7,000) 

McBride had six catches for 61 yards against the Saints. While the 25-year-old didn’t score a touchdown, he made up for it to some degree by amassing 10.2 yards per catch. It’s also important to consider that he was targeted nine times.  

It’s apparent McBride has built a strong on-field relationship with Kyler Murray, who should continue to look in his direction versus Carolina, a team that is projected to struggle on the defensive side of the ball throughout the 2025 campaign.  

Also Consider: Travis Kelce ($6,200), Brenton Strange ($5,100), Chig Okonkwo ($4,900)
