Dennis Clausen

13669 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Saddiq Bey Won't Play Against OKC

New Orleans Pelicans forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) won't play on Monday against OKC. He was a late addition to the injury report, so fantasy managers will now wait and see if he can play on Wednesday versus the Denver Nuggets. With Zion Williamson (hamstring) out as well, Karlo Matkovic, who had four points, three boards, […]

Zion Williamson Still Out on Monday Night

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) won't play on Monday versus OKC. The 25-year-old has bounced around injury designations over the last few games. However, he'll now miss a seventh consecutive game Monday night. At this point, it's hard to say exactly how much longer Williamson will remain on the shelf, although fantasy managers […]

Anthony Davis Still Out on Monday

Dallas Mavericks center Anthony Davis (calf) remains out for Monday's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. He appeared in five contests to begin the 2025 campaign, averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals. Unfortunately, AD has been plagued by a calf injury, keeping him off the floor for Dallas' last nine games. It's […]

Darius Garland Out Again on Monday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (toe) remains out for Monday's Central Division showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks. He wasn't available for the first seven games to begin the 2025 campaign. However, after returning and appearing in a few contests, he re-aggravated the injury during the November 10 meeting with the Miami Heat and has now […]

P.J. Washington Active Against the Trail Blazers

Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (shoulder) will play on Sunday against Portland. He left Wednesday's loss to the Phoenix Suns because of a shoulder issue and didn't suit up on Friday for the NBA Cup meeting with the Clippers. However, now that Washington is back in the lineup, Naji Marshall will presumably head back to […]

Anthony Davis Won't Play on Sunday Night

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) won't play on Sunday versus the Trail Blazers. It's unknown how much longer AD will be off the floor. However, considering his injury history, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised to see him miss at least a few more contests. Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford should continue to handle […]

Zion Williamson Remains Sidelined on Sunday

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) remains out for Sunday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors. It appears the former Duke Blue Devil is nearing a return. However, fantasy managers will need to wait at least one more game before potentially seeing him back on the court. Jordan Poole (quadriceps) is also out, meaning […]

Kristaps Porzingis to Miss Another Game on Sunday

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) won't play on Sunday night versus the Suns. It will be his second straight absence. He's battling knee soreness. However, with Porzingis' injury history, it's hard to gauge how long he'll be off the floor. His next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus the visiting Pistons. […]

Stephon Castle Won't Return on Sunday Night

San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle (hip) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the Sacramento Kings. He finished this one with four points and five assists, exiting after only 16 minutes of action because of a hip injury. The Spurs were already down Victor Wembanyama (calf) heading into the contest, so fantasy managers will need […]

Derrick Jones Jr. Won't Return on Sunday

Los Angeles Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) won't return to Sunday's game against the Boston Celtics. The 28-year-old logged 11 minutes. Unfortunately, that's all fantasy managers would get out of Jones before he suffered a knee injury caused by a loose ball dive by Jaylen Brown. He needed assistance off the floor, and his […]

Kristaps Porzingis Questionable for Sunday's Meeting with Phoenix

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) is questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Phoenix Suns. He's dealing with right knee soreness, so the team may take the cautious approach by keeping him off the floor for a second-straight contest. Understandably, that may be the way to go, considering Porzingis has had issues staying healthy over […]

Calvin Ridley Expected to Play in Week 11

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring) is expected to play in Sunday's meeting with Houston. The wideout has been out of commission since Week 7 because of a hamstring injury. Although it appeared he had a chance to return over the last few weeks, it seems he'll finally be […]

Paolo Banchero Out Again on Sunday

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero (groin) remains out for Sunday's matchup with the Houston Rockets. He injured his groin during a recent meeting with the New York Knicks and wasn't available for Friday's NBA Cup game versus the Nets. He'll now miss his second-straight game because of the issue, although there hasn't been much revealed […]

Victor Wembanyama Questionable for Sunday

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (calf) is questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Sacramento Kings. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick is playing at an MVP level, averaging 26.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, and 1.1 steals. He also hasn't missed a game after being limited to 46 appearances last season. However, nagging calf […]

Julian Strawther Will Play on Saturday Versus the Timberwolves

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Julian Strawther (back) will play on Saturday versus the Timberwolves. He was listed on the injury report because of low back pain, but he'll be out there for a Nuggets team that won't have Christian Braun (ankle) and Cameron Johnson (biceps). Strawther isn't having a good season, averaging a career-low 4.1 points. […]

Cameron Johnson Ruled Out on Saturday Evening

Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson (biceps) won't play on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former Net suffered a biceps strain during Wednesday's game versus the Clippers. While there hasn't been an official update regarding a return timetable, it's reasonable to assume he may miss more time moving forward. Nikola Jokic (wrist) is available, which […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Officially Available Versus the Lakers

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) is cleared to suit up for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He missed Wednesday's contest versus the Charlotte Hornets. However, despite being on the injury report, he was available for Friday's rematch. With Antetokounmpo available, Gary Trent Jr. will likely come off the bench, with fewer scoring […]

Nikola Jokic Available on Saturday Night

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (wrist) is available for Saturday's game against Minnesota. The multi-time MVP was listed as questionable due to a left wrist sprain. Luckily, the injury won't keep him off the floor for the first time this season. He is coming off a strong showing, amassing 55 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, […]

Luguentz Dort Will Return Versus Charlotte

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Luguentz Dort (shoulder) will play on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets. He didn't play the best before going down with the injury, averaging 7.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals while shooting 19.4% from behind the arc. Hopefully, the five-game layoff will allow him to get back on track for fantasy […]

Darius Garland Remains Out on Saturday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (ankle) won't play on Saturday against the Grizzlies. The 25-year-old has appeared in three games so far this season, averaging 13 points, five assists, and one steal. He'll presumably be more productive once he's back to full-strength. Garland's next chance to suit up will be on Monday versus the Milwaukee […]

Zach Edey Cleared to Make 2025 Debut on Saturday

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edy (ankle) will play on Saturday against the Cavs. The 23-year-old averaged 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks as a rookie. Unfortunately, he missed time to begin the season to recover from offseason ankle surgery. It's possible Edey will be limited for at least a few games. However, he'll return […]

Cedric Coward Available Against Cleveland

Memphis Grizzlies forward Cedric Coward (foot) is available for Saturday's matchup with the Cavs. He was listed as doubtful on Friday night. Fortunately, the rookie was upgraded to questionable before ultimately getting the green light to suit up. Coward has played well in his first year in the National Basketball Association, averaging 14.3 points, 5.9 […]

LaMelo Ball Resting on Saturday Night

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle, injury management) won't play on Saturday night versus OKC. He returned from a five-game stint on the shelf because of right ankle impingement for Friday's NBA Cup meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks. Ball struggled, finishing with 16 points, going 5-for-15 from the field and 2-for-6 from behind the arc. […]

Noah Fant a Desperation Streaming Option in Week 11

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant has had a small uptick in fantasy production of late. While the volume hasn't been there, the veteran has at least found the end zone in two of the Bengals' previous three contests. With Mike Gesicki (pectoral) still on the shelf, Fant remains the favorite to stay the team's […]

Tahj Brooks May Get Extra Snaps in Week 11, Still Can't be Trusted

Cincinnati Bengals running back Tahj Brooks hasn't done much of anything in his inaugural year. He had the chance to at least claim the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind Chase Brown. While that wasn't expected early in the season, most had assumed he'd take over as the backup by now. However, that […]

Andrei Iosivas Looking to Build on Productive Week 9 Effort

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas had the best year of his brief career in 2024. Granted, he saw extra attention due to Tee Higgins struggling to stay healthy. Still, many assumed the wideout would play at least a little better this season. However, that hasn't happened, with Iosivas amassing one catch or less in […]

Tee Higgins Aiming to Keep Touchdown Streak Alive on Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was relatively quiet to begin the 2025 campaign. Although he found the end zone in Week 2 against the Jaguars, he had only seven catches through the first three weeks. Since then, it's been a different story, with Higgins scoring at least once in four of his last five […]

Ja'Marr Chase Ready for Another Productive Outing Versus Pittsburgh

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was quiet in three of his first four games to begin the 2025 campaign. However, it's been a different story since the Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions, with the wideout combining for 50 grabs (72 targets) for 567 yards and four touchdowns in his last five appearances. […]

Chase Brown Gaining Steam Heading Into Week 11

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown hasn't played as well as expected. He began the 2025 campaign by finding the end zone in Week 1 against the Browns. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old didn't score again until the narrow one-point loss to the New York Jets back in Week 8. It's safe to say he has a […]

Joe Flacco Ready for Another Encounter with Pittsburgh

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) didn't practice on Wednesday and Friday (limited on Thursday) due to a nagging right shoulder injury. Fortunately, it won't be enough to keep him off the field for the Week 11 AFC North clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flacco spent over a decade with the Baltimore Ravens, so he's […]
