Dennis Clausen

13905 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Jalen Suggs Not Expected to Face Charlotte

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (hip) is not anticipated to play on Friday versus Charlotte. He's already missed four games because of a left hip contusion. While the doubtful designation at least suggests the 24-year-old is trending in a favorable direction, it appears he'll miss another contest on Friday night. If that's the case, Tyus […]

Jordan Walsh Likely Returning on Friday

Boston Celtics forward Jordan Walsh (illness) is expected to play on Friday against Indiana. With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) sidelined, Walsh has stepped up for the C's throughout the 2025 campaign, averaging 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals while shooting 44.4% from downtown. He didn't suit up when these clubs met on Monday because of […]

Ryan Kalkbrenner Remains Out on Friday

Charlotte Hornets center Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) won't play on Friday night against Orlando, marking his third-straight absence. The rookie has started 25 times this season, averaging 8.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in those appearances. With Mason Plumlee (groin) also sidelined, the Hornets will need to rely on Moussa Diabate to handle most of […]

Rui Hachimura Back in Action on Christmas

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (groin) will play on Thursday against the Rockets after missing the last two games. The 27-year-old has played as well as expected throughout the 2025 campaign, averaging 13.3 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 45.6% from behind the arc. Although Hachimura should see at least 30 minutes of action, […]

Luka Doncic Cleared to Play on Christmas Night

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (leg) is available for Thursday's Christmas showdown with the Rockets. He sustained a left leg contusion in the loss to the Clippers on Saturday and didn't suit up on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns. Marcus Smart ended up getting the start in that one, finishing with 14 points […]

Tristan da Silva Remains Sidelined Against Portland

Orlando Magic forward Tristan da Silva (shoulder) won't play on Tuesday versus Portland, marking his fourth-straight absence. He was getting consistent work before injuring his shoulder in the loss to the New York Knicks on December 13. However, now that da Silva will miss another contest, Jett Howard and Noah Penda should remain more involved, […]

Goga Bitadze Out Against Portland

Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze (knee) won't play on Tuesday against Portland. This will be his first absence of the year. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, with his next chance to suit up coming on Friday versus the Charlotte Hornets. Without Bitadze in the mix, that could mean even more minutes for Wendell Carter […]

Cedric Coward Unavailable on Tuesday Night

Memphis Grizzlies forward Cedric Coward (heel) won't play on Tuesday against Utah, marking his first absence of the 2025 campaign. The Grizzlies are also down Ja Morant (ankle), Brandon Clarke (calf), and Vince Williams Jr. (knee), meaning fantasy managers could see additional statistical contributions from Jaylen Wells, Cam Spencer, Jaren Jackson Jr., Santi Aldama, and […]

Zach LaVine to Miss at Least One More Week

Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine (ankle) will be re-evaluated in one week. He's already missed three games as a result of a sprained left ankle. Fortunately, he's progressing, although the latest update means he won't suit up for upcoming meetings with the Pistons, Mavericks, Lakers, and Clippers, at the very least. With Domantas Sabonis (knee) […]

Jaden Hardy Starting on Tuesday Night

Dallas Mavericks guard Jaden Hardy will start on Tuesday versus Denver. With Klay Thompson (knee), P.J. Washington (foot), and Max Christie (illness) sidelined, the Mavs need others to step up. This will be Hardy's first start of the 2025 campaign. Although he hasn't been productive this season, he certainly has more than enough streaming potential […]

Jaden McDaniels Out on Tuesday Evening

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels (oblique) won't play on Tuesday versus the New York Knicks. He suffered an oblique contusion in Sunday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Fantasy managers will need to await an update ahead Minnesota's next contest, which will be on Christmas night against the Denver Nuggets. For now, Naz Reid should see […]

Max Christie Still Out on Tuesday Night

Dallas Mavericks guard Max Christie (illness) won't play on Tuesday versus Denver, marking his second-straight absence. Under normal circumstances, his absence wouldn't be a significant concern. However, with Klay Thompson (knee) and P.J. Washington (foot) sidelined, Christie could have seen additional action. Fortunately, Brandon Williams (ankle) is available, which will help. D'Angelo Russell should also […]

Brandon Williams Cleared to Play Versus Denver

Dallas Mavericks guard Brandon Williams (ankle) will play on Tuesday versus Denver. He tweaked his ankle during Monday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, ending his night after only 15 minutes of work. However, despite popping up on the injury report, as expected, he'll suit up. It's good news for the Mavs, considering the team […]

P.J. Washington Ruled Out on Tuesday

Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (foot) won't play on Tuesday versus Denver. He's coming off a rough showing, scoring eight points in Monday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. His next chance to play will be on Christmas against the Golden State Warriors. For now, Moussa Cisse, who was called up from the G League, […]

Quentin Grimes Uncertain to Suit Up Against Nets

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Quentin Grimes (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Brooklyn. Grimes got the start in Saturday's win over the Dallas Mavericks, finishing with six points, seven assists, and two steals. He still has a chance to start on Tuesday if Dominick Barlow (illness) isn't available. However, if both players are cleared to […]

Dominick Barlow Might Miss Tuesday's Meeting with Brooklyn

Philadelphia 76ers forward Dominick Barlow (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup against Brooklyn. Like many players around the NBA, he's not feeling well, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see how things play out. Barlow is easily having the best season of his career, averaging 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. His […]

Alexandre Sarr Off the Injury Report for Tuesday

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) is off the injury report ahead of Tuesday's meeting with the Charlotte Hornets. Sarr last played on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies, finishing with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double. However, he didn't suit up versus the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, the second of back-to-back contests. Tristan Vukcevic got the […]

Herbert Jones Available on Monday Night

New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (illness) will play on Monday against the Mavericks. He popped up on the injury report because of migraine headaches. However, it won't keep him off the floor. The 27-year-old has averaged only 9.8 points this season. While that kind of production doesn't make him a viable fantasy option in […]

Jordan Walsh Unavailable Against Indiana

Boston Celtics forward Jordan Walsh (illness) won't play on Monday against Indiana. He's not feeling well. Fortunately, the C's aren't back in action until Friday for a rematch versus the Pacers, so he'll have time to feel better. Walsh is easily having the best season of his career. He's also started 16 times, averaging 8.9 […]

Alex Caruso Out Against Memphis

Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Alex Caruso (finger) won't suit up for Monday's meeting with Memphis. The 31-year-old has been on and off the injury report all season. This time, he'll be sidelined by a sprained right middle finger. He's averaged only 5.8 points, 3.1 boards, and 1.8 steals throughout the 2025 campaign, so he hasn't […]

Lauri Markkanen Back in Action on Monday

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (groin) will play on Monday against Denver after missing the last two contests. The 2017 No. 7 overall pick has had a fantastic 2025 campaign, averaging a career-high 27.8 points, adding 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals. Of course, that kind of production makes him a must-start in all fantasy setups, […]

Ryan Kalkbrenner Ruled Out Against Cavaliers

Charlotte Hornets center Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) won't play on Monday against Cleveland. The rookie will miss his third contest of the 2025 campaign, so his next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus the Washington Wizards. Without him, Moussa Diabate is the favorite to enter the starting lineup. The 23-year-old has started twice […]

Jaylen Brown Cleared to Suit Up Versus Indiana

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (illness) will play against Indiana. He didn't suit up for Saturday's win over the Toronto Raptors, marking only his second absence of the 2025 campaign. Fortunately, the illness won't keep him off the floor for more than one contest. The 29-year-old has had a fantastic season, averaging a career-high 29.3 […]

Chet Holmgren Sidelined on Monday Evening

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (illness) won't play on Monday against Memphis. Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) and Jaylin Williams (heel) are also sidelined, so OKC will be thin at the five spot. To make matters worse, Aaron Wiggins (adductor) is questionable. As a result, Jalen Williams might be spending most of his time at the […]

LaMelo Ball Available Versus Cleveland

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (wrist) will play on Monday against Cleveland. The 24-year-old has missed 10 games this season for various ailments. Fortunately, that trend won't continue, with Ball in line to suit up for his third-straight contest. He has struggled offensively this season, averaging 19.2 points, down from the 2024 campaign, although he's […]

Donovan Mitchell Likely to Return on Monday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (illness) is probable heading into Monday's matchup with Charlotte. He didn't suit up for Friday's loss to the Chicago Bulls. Tyrese Proctor ended up taking his place in the rotation, finishing with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal. If Mitchell suffers a setback, Proctor would presumably remain […]

Jakob Poeltl Back in the Lineup on Sunday Night

Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (back) will return from a two-game absence on Sunday night versus Brooklyn. He's getting back on the floor at a perfect time, considering the Nets are one of the worst defensive clubs in the National Basketball Association. With Poeltl available, Sandro Mamukelashvili, who had 24 points and five rebounds on […]

Alexandre Sarr Ruled Out Against San Antonio

Washington Wizards center Alexandre Sarr (adductor) won't suit up against the Spurs. He missed six games because of this issue. However, the 20-year-old has appeared in the previous two contests, most recently amassing an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double in Saturday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies. With Marvin Bagley III (calf) also out, Tristan Vukcevic is expected […]

Marvin Bagley III Ruled Out Against San Antonio

Washington Wizards center Marvin Bagley III (calf) won't play on Sunday against the Spurs. Alexandre Sarr (adductor) is also unavailable, so the Wizards will be shorthanded at the five spot. Tristan Vukcevic, who had four points and three rebounds in his only start this season, is expected to handle most of the work in the […]

Davion Mitchell Available on Sunday Night

Miami Heat forward Davion Mitchell (ankle) will play on Sunday against the Knicks. He didn't play in Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics, although the ankle sprain won't keep him off the floor for more than a game. The 27-year-old has averaged 9.9 points, 1.3 steals, and a career-high 7.7 assists this season. With Tyler […]
