Dennis Clausen

1847 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Nicolas Claxton Expected to Play on Tuesday

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (thumb) is probable heading into Tuesday's meeting with Miami. He's been dealing with a pinky issue for most of the campaign. Yet, the 26-year-old is on the injury report because of a right thumb sprain. Claxton has had a decent season, averaging 12.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks. However, […]

Naji Marshall Unavailable Versus Charlotte

Dallas Mavericks forward Naji Marshall (finger) won't play on Tuesday in Charlotte. He injured his finger during Friday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and wasn't available for Sunday's meeting with OKC. Marshall was playing well before the injury, averaging 19.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals in the month of February. Fantasy managers […]

Cooper Flagg Listed as Doubtful for Tuesday Night

Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Cooper Flagg (foot) is doubtful for Tuesday's meeting with Charlotte. It appears there's a chance he'll be back for this one. However, fantasy managers should anticipate another absence. The former Duke Blue Devil has been sidelined for seven games because of a midfoot sprain. Although the Mavs aren't really playing for much, […]

Tristan Vukcevic Ruled Out Versus Houston

Washington Wizards center Tristan Vukcevic (thigh) won't play on Monday versus the Rockets. The 22-year-old has appeared in the last three games, starting all of them. However, he's logged 22 minutes or less in each of those contests. The Wizards play four times this week, so there's a good chance he'll be back on the […]

Kyshawn George Will Face the Rockets

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (knee) will play on Monday versus Houston. The 2024 No. 24 overall pick missed two of the Wizards' last six games. While he'll be out there on Monday, he may get the night off on Tuesday in Orlando. George played well against the Rockets back in November, finishing that one […]

LeBron James Available Versus Sacramento

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) is available for Sunday's game against the Kings. The King had 22 points, nine assists, and seven boards in 28 minutes in the 129-101 win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. He popped up on the injury report because of the infamous foot issue. However, that won't […]

Zion Williamson Ruled Out Versus Clippers

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (ankle) won't play on Sunday versus the Clippers. The 25-year-old hasn't missed a game since mid-December. Unfortunately, he injured his ankle during Saturday's win over the Utah Jazz. His next opportunity to get on the floor will be on Tuesday versus the Lakers. Fortunately, Trey Murphy III (shoulder) will […]

Jabari Smith Jr. Still Out on Monday

Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) remains out on Monday versus Washington. He tweaked his ankle during the 113-108 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday and didn't suit up on Saturday in Miami. Reed Sheppard took his spot in the starting lineup, amassing 14 points, five assists, and four rebounds. Fantasy managers might […]

Jalen Johnson Back on Sunday Night

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (hip) will play on Sunday versus Portland. He suffered a left hip injury during Tuesday's 119-98 win over the Washington Wizards, keeping him off the floor for the rematch on Thursday evening. Jonathan Kuminga got the start in that one, ending with 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, one steal, […]

Deni Avdija Remains Out on Sunday

Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija (back) won't suit up on Sunday against Atlanta. He's been dealing with the lower back injury for a while. Although the 25-year-old has played sparingly since the injury was first announced, the latest setback will now cost him a fourth-straight contest. Avdija has had a wonderful campaign, averaging a […]

Zach Edey to Undergo Another Ankle Surgery

The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Sunday that center Zach Edey (ankle) will undergo another surgery to address "ongoing discomfort" in his left ankle. He is anticipated to recover fully, with "a timeline" regarding his recovery to be provided after the procedure. The 23-year-old appeared in 66 games as a rookie, averaging 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, […]

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Off the Injury Report for Friday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's meeting with the Denver Nuggets. He has been sidelined since suffering an abdominal injury, keeping him off the floor for OKC's previous nine contests. While SGA may be limited for at least a few contests, he should be plugged […]

Zaccharie Risacher Available Against Washington

Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (hip) will play on Thursday versus Washington. He was listed on the injury report because of a hip contusion after amassing nine points and nine boards when these clubs met on Tuesday night. With Jalen Johnson (hip) and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (foot) both ruled out, Risacher has an excellent opportunity to […]

Nickeil Alexander-Walker Won't Play on Thursday

Atlanta Hawks guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (foot) won't play in Thursday's rematch with Washington. The Hawks are also down Jalen Johnson (hip), meaning there will be plenty of shots up for grabs. There are several directions head coach Quin Snyder can go regarding the starting lineup. However, CJ McCollum, Onyeka Okongwu, and Jonathan Kuminga may be […]

Obi Toppin Cleared to Play Thursday

Indiana Pacers forward Obi Toppin (foot) will suit up on Thursday versus Charlotte. He had played in only three games this season before suffering a stress fracture in his right foot. Prior to the injury, the 2020 No. 8 overall pick appeared to be well on his way to having the best year of his […]

Jalen Suggs Returning on Thursday Night

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (back) will return from his three-game absence on Thursday versus Houston. Tristan da Silva had been starting while Suggs was on the shelf, most recently amassing 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals in Tuesday's 110-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Although it's realistic to assume Suggs might see […]

Keegan Murray Won't Return on Wednesday Night

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) won't return to Wednesday's game against Houston. The 25-year-old recently returned after missing over a month because of a sprained left ankle. Unfortunately, he re-injured the same ankle late in the first quarter on Wednesday night. Murray would go on to finish with three points in nine minutes of […]

Jayson Tatum a "Full Go" in Five-on-Five Scrimmages

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (Achilles) has been a "full go" in five-on-five scrimmages of late. The multi-time All-Star suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon during Game 4 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Semifinals versus the New York Knicks. As expected, he underwent surgery, with many assuming he would miss […]

Chet Holmgren Cleared for Action on Tuesday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) will play on Tuesday versus Toronto. The 2022 No. 2 overall pick had a 17-point, 15-rebound double-double with three blocks in Saturday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He popped up on the injury report due to back spasms. Fortunately, Holmgren will suit up for a Thunder team that […]

Chet Holmgren Might Miss Tuesday's Meeting with Toronto

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) is considered questionable to play on Tuesday in Toronto. The 2022 No. 2 overall pick had a massive 17-point, 15-rebound, three-block effort in Saturday's 121-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately, he's in danger of missing this one due to back spasms. OKC is already without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, […]

Jamal Murray Good to Go on Sunday

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (hamstring) is available for Sunday's meeting with the Warriors. The 28-year-old is having the best season of his career, averaging 25.6 points and 7.6 assists. He's also stayed relatively healthy, appearing in Denver's previous 11 contests. With that said, Murray has played well against Golden State during the campaign (two […]

Anfernee Simons Won't Face the Knicks

Chicago Bulls guard Anfernee Simons (wrist) won't play on Sunday against the Knicks. Simons had four points and two rebounds in Saturday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. Unfortunately, he lasted only 13 minutes before exiting due to a sprained left wrist. With Jaden Ivey (knee) also ruled out, Collin Sexton should see more action. The […]

Mitchell Robinson Sitting on Sunday

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Sunday in Chicago. He logged six points and four rebounds in Saturday's two-point win over the Houston Rockets. However, as has been the norm, Robinson won't suit up for the second game of the back-to-back. Ariel Hukporti should see more action, with the 23-year-old amassing […]

Myles Turner Back on Sunday

Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner (calf) will return for Sunday's meeting with Toronto after missing the last two contests. Jericho Sims has been rolling with the starters of late, most recently amassing four points, six rebounds, and two blocks in 19 minutes in the recent win over the New Orleans Pelicans. As far as Turner […]

Kristaps Porzingis Ruled Out on Sunday

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Sunday versus Denver. He was listed as probable on the injury report for left Achilles injury management. However, the veteran woke up early on Sunday and was feeling "pretty sick." Porzingis has appeared in only one game for the Dubs since being acquired ahead of […]

Devin Booker to Miss at Least One Week

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (hip) will be sidelined for at least one week as a result of the right hip strain he suffered in Thursday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The 29-year-old has struggled to stay healthy of late, most recently missing seven contests because of a sprained right ankle. Unfortunately, the latest […]

Dillon Brooks Suffers a Broken Hand

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks sustained a broken left hand in Saturday's double-overtime win over the Magic. He is projected to be out "for an extended period of time," although he will meet with physicians on Sunday to "determine an exact timetable." The 30-year-old has played exceptionally well this season, […]

Cooper Flagg Still Sidelined on Sunday

Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Cooper Flagg (foot) remains out for Sunday's matchup with Indiana. The rookie has already missed two games because of a left midfoot sprain. He was spotted wearing a walking boot during the All-Star break, so he'll likely miss extended time moving ahead. Truth be told, with the Mavs not expected to make […]

Scottie Barnes Ruled Out on Sunday

Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (personal) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's meeting with Milwaukee. He's out with a personal issue, so his next opportunity to return will be on Tuesday against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder. Without Barnes on the court, Jakob Poeltl may move back into the starting lineup, with Collin Murray-Boyles […]

Grayson Allen Back on Saturday Night, Will Come Off the Bench

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Grayson Allen (ankle) will return on Saturday versus Orlando after missing the last four games. The 30-year-old is having a fantastic campaign, averaging 17.0 points, a career-high, with 3.0 boards, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals.
