Dennis Clausen

13594 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Mac Jones Looking to Get San Francisco Back on Track in Week 7

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones (knee, oblique) will be under center in the Week 7 matchup versus Atlanta. With Brock Purdy (toe) still working his way back, Jones will get a chance to make amends for his two-interception showing in the recent loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To be fair, the 27-year-old has […]

Jalen Green Reinjures Hamstring, Will be Reevaluated in 10 Days

According to Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott, guard Jalen Green (hamstring) will be reevaluated in 10 days after reaggravating a left hamstring injury during preseason play in China. Unfortunately, that will rule him out for the opener versus the Sacramento Kings on October 22. It also appears there's a good chance he won't suit […]

Keegan Murray to Undergo Surgery

Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (thumb) will undergo surgery to repair a torn left ulnar collateral ligament. He will be reevaluated in four-to-six weeks. Murray was selected No. 4 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft and has appeared in 233 regular-season contests. Although he's coming off a down year in terms of production, he's still […]

Russell Westbrook, Kings Have "Strong Mutual Interest"

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, free-agent guard Russell Westbrook and the Sacramento Kings have a "strong mutual interest" in a contract heading into the 2025 campaign. The Kings struggled to get production from the bench in 2024, so adding Westbrook could go a long way in helping the team stay competitive throughout the season. The […]

Jacoby Brissett Expected to Start on Sunday Versus Former Team

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett is expected to start in Sunday's clash with the Colts. Kyler Murray (foot) still has a chance to play. However, that's unlikely, although NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that a final decision won't come until Sunday morning. Unfortunately, there's belief Murray might miss extended time […]

Kyler Murray Has a Chance to Play on Sunday, but Could Miss Extended Time

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Arizona Cardinals "are leaving the door open" for quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) to suit up on Sunday versus the Colts. However, the team is realistically "preparing" for Jacoby Brissett to start in Week 6, although a final decision won't come until Sunday morning. The signal-caller is reportedly dealing […]

Tommy Tremble Still a Risky Fantasy Option Going into Week 6

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble hasn't done much for fantasy managers this season. While he had five catches (eight targets) for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots, he has been nearly irrelevant from a production standpoint. Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable heading into […]

Hunter Renfrow Not a Starting Fantasy Option in Week 6

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Hunter Renfrow had seven catches for 48 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 2 loss to the Cardinals. However, outside of that performance, he hasn't done much, most recently catching one pass for seven yards in the Week 5 win over the Dolphins. Xavier Legette found the end zone in […]

Tetairoa McMillan Draws a Favorable Matchup in Week 6

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan remains the team's No. 1 option on the depth chart. He's logged 305 offensive snaps through the first five weeks of the 2025 campaign, with Hunter Renfrow sitting behind him with 192. Unfortunately, that hasn't necessarily translated into consistent production from the rookie. McMillan currently has 24 catches (43 […]

Bryce Young has Some Value Versus Dallas on Sunday

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has shown signs of growth in his third season in the National Football League. While he hasn't been consistent, he's still had some favorable outings for fantasy managers. The signal-caller most recently threw for 198 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception off 19-for-30 passing in the Week 5 win over […]

Nyheim Hines Elevated Heading into Sunday's Matchup Versus Miami

According to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Los Angeles Chargers elevated Nyheim Hines off the practice squad ahead of the Week 6 meeting with the Miami Dolphins, marking his first taste of regular-season action since 2022. Najee Harris (Achilles) is done for the rest of the season, and Omarion Hampton (ankle) will miss at least […]

With Omarion Hampton Injured, Chargers "in the Market" for a Running Back

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Chargers are "in the market" for a running back. Najee Harris (Achilles) is done for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. To make matters worse, rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) landed on the Injured Reserve list and will miss at least the next four games. As a […]

Cardinals Sign Kedon Slovis Off of the Practice Squad

The Arizona Cardinals signed quarterback Kedon Slovis off of the practice squad on Saturday. The 24-year-old has bounced around the league, suiting up for various practice squads in the last few years. While the signing won't directly impact fantasy managers, it could mean that Kyler Murray (foot), who is still questionable, won't be out there […]

Noah Fant Still Off the Radar in Week 6

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant had four catches (five targets) for 26 yards in the Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also had a touchdown in that one. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old hasn't done anything meaningful since then, catching eight passes for 54 yards. In Fant's defense, the entire offense hasn't looked the […]

Evan McPherson Not a Relevant Fantasy Option in Week 6

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has made all of his field goals this season. Unfortunately, he's been limited to only five attempts. The Bengals offense has struggled throughout the 2025 campaign, regardless if Joe Burrow (toe) and Jake Browning were under center. With Joe Flacco, who was recently traded by the Browns, getting the start […]

Mike Gesicki Not Worth Starting Versus Green Bay

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki had 17 catches in the first five games of the 2024 campaign. However, he has only eight this season. While most didn't expect the 30-year-old to be consistently productive, it's safe to say he's still fallen below expectations. In all fairness, the Bengals offense hasn't looked the best, so […]

Samaje Perine Still Not a Practical Fantasy Option in Week 6

Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine had only 52 yards off nine carries in the first five games of the 2025 campaign, adding four receptions for eight yards. While most assumed Chase Brown would lead the way out of the backfield this season, fantasy managers are still disappointed with Perine's lack of involvement and production. […]

Tee Higgins Not a Safe Option Against Green Bay

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins hasn't looked the best throughout the first five weeks of the 2025 campaign. He has only 13 catches (27 targets) for 158 yards. Fortunately, the wideout has at least found the end zone twice, preventing him from being a complete bust for fantasy managers. In Higgins' defense, the Bengals […]

Andrei Iosivas Can't be Trusted Even if Ja'Marr Chase Gets Ruled Out

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas had three touchdowns in the first three weeks of the 2024 campaign. However, it's been a different story this season, with the 25-year-old failing to find the end zone. He also has only seven catches (13 targets) for 116 yards, further decreasing his fantasy value. While Ja'Marr Chase (illness) […]

Chase Brown Still Worth a Start Despite Tough Matchup on Tap

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown hasn't played well this season. After scoring a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns, the 25-year-old hasn't visited the end zone since then. He only had eight carries for 27 yards in Week 5 versus the Lions. Fortunately, Brown made up for it by […]

George Pickens Remains a Must-Start Versus Carolina

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens had only two catches in the Week 5 win over the Jets. While Ryan Flournoy led the way with six receptions (nine targets), Pickens at least had a touchdown, finding the end zone off of a 43-yard pass from Dak Prescott in the third quarter. With CeeDee Lamb (ankle) […]

Jaydon Blue Not Worth a Start Against Carolina

Dallas Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue logged 11 offensive snaps in the Week 5 win over the New York Jets after not getting any action through the first four weeks. However, despite the increased involvement, the rookie ended Week 5 with only four carries for seven yards. With Miles Sanders (ankle, knee) now done for […]

Chig Okonkwo Should Remain Benched in Week 6

Tennessee Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo was highly regarded by the fantasy community heading into the season. However, the 26-year-old hasn't lived up to expectations through the first five games of the 2025 campaign, catching 17 passes for 172 yards while failing to find the end zone. To be fair, Cam Ward hasn't played the […]

Tyler Lockett Not a Wise Fantasy Choice Versus Vegas

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett was once considered a top wideout in the National Football League. Unfortunately, it appears those days are well behind him. In his first five games as a Titan, he's caught only seven passes (16 targets) for 52 yards. While the veteran had his first touchdown of the year in […]

Elic Ayomanor a Desperation Fantasy Option in Week 6

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor had a two-catch, 18-yard showing in the Week 5 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals. While that performance didn't sit well with fantasy managers, the rookie has played relatively well in an offense that's struggled throughout the 2025 campaign. In Ayomanor's first five games in the league, he's totaled 14 […]

Golden State Expected to Put Jonathan Kuminga on the Trade Block Once Eligible

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Golden State Warriors are expected to make forward Jonathan Kuminga available once he's eligible to be traded on January 15. After months of negotiations, the Warriors and Kuminga finally agreed to a two-year, $48.5 million contract. However, it's safe to say both sides are looking to end their […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Back at Practice

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) practiced with the team on Saturday. The multi-time MVP was battling COVID-19 while still in Greece, delaying his return back to the United States to participate in the first few days of training camp. "I think it took a toll on my body. I'm not 100% yet physically," Antetokounmpo […]

Tyler Huntley Elevated from the Practice Squad

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens elevated quarterback Tyler Huntley from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of the Week 5 meeting with the Houston Texans. Lamar Jackson (hamstring) was ruled out on Friday after tweaking his hamstring during the Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. As a […]

Malik Hooker Placed on Injured Reserve

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Dallas Cowboys safety Malik Hooker (toe) was placed on the Injured Reserve list. He will now miss a minimum of four games. The 29-year-old suffered a toe injury during the Sunday night tie with the Green Bay Packers. While head coach Brian Schottenheimer indicated Hooker could miss a few […]

Ryan Kelly Lands on Injured Reserve

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Minnesota Vikings center Ryan Kelly (concussion) was placed on Injured Reserve. He will now miss at least four weeks. The 32-year-old, who signed a two-year deal with the Vikings in March, is considered one of the best centers in the National Football League. However, he's battled numerous concussions throughout his […]
