Dennis Clausen

14076 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Michael Porter Jr. Out on Thursday

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (illness) won't play on Thursday against Houston. He had 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals in Monday's 120-107 loss to the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, Porter popped up on the injury report because of an illness, so he'll miss his first game in nearly a month. […]

Tobias Harris Won't Suit Up Against Miami

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (hip) won't play on Thursday versus Miami. He suffered a hip sprain in Tuesday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers, ending his night after only five minutes of work. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, although they shouldn't be surprised if he misses more games moving ahead. With Caris LeVert […]

Lauri Markkanen on the Injury Report for Thursday Night

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (knee) is questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Clippers. The veteran was available on Tuesday in the loss to the Boston Celtics, amassing 22 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and one block in 38 minutes of action. With Keyonte George (illness) questionable, and Jusuf Nurkic (toe) and Ace Bailey […]

Keyonte George Battling an Illness, Might Miss Thursday's Game

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) is questionable for the meeting with the Clippers on Thursday night. He's having an excellent 2025 campaign, averaging a career-high 24.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 boards. The 22-year-old is also coming off one of his most productive games of the season, amassing 37 points in Tuesday's loss to […]

Jusuf Nurkic Won't Play on Thursday Evening

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (toe) won't suit up for Thursday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 2014 No. 16 overall pick is averaging close to a double-double this season, most recently amassing 26 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists on Tuesday in the loss to the Boston Celtics. It's unknown when he suffered […]

Tari Eason Questionable Versus Brooklyn

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game against Brooklyn. He recently returned after missing over a month because of an oblique injury. Since then, the 24-year-old has appeared in the Rockets' previous five contests. However, his status is now in jeopardy as a result of an illness. With so many players […]

Tobias Harris Not Expected to Suit Up on Thursday

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (hip) is doubtful for Thursday's meeting with Miami. He logged six minutes in Tuesday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers because of a left hip injury. Unfortunately, that puts his status in doubt for Thursday's game and beyond. With Caris LeVert (knee) also sidelined, Ron Holland II, coming off a […]

Alperen Sengun Questionable Versus Brooklyn

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (soleus) is questionable for Thursday's game against Brooklyn after missing the last two contests because of a calf strain. The Rockets are hurting heading into this one, with Clint Capela (illness) and Steven Adams (ankle) also carrying a questionable designation. As a result, Houston may need to roll with Dorian […]

Mason Plumlee Undergoes Groin Surgery

Charlotte Hornets center Mason Plumlee (groin) underwent surgery "to address an injury to his right groin." He will be re-evaluated in six weeks, with the team planning to announce updates "as appropriate." The 35-year-old signed with the Hornets in July after bouncing around the NBA since being drafted in 2013 by the Brooklyn Nets. He […]

Josh Giddey Sidelined "at Least a Few Weeks"

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) will "miss at least a few weeks" as a result of the hamstring strain that he sustained during Monday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 2021 No. 6 overall pick has played well throughout the 2025 campaign, averaging career-highs in points (19.5), rebounds (9.1), […]

Desmond Bane Might Miss Wednesday's Game in Indiana

Orlando Magic forward Desmond Bane (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Indiana. He hasn't missed a game this season, although that trend may come to an end after he experienced back spasms in Monday's loss to Toronto. With Jalen Suggs (hip) also uncertain to suit up, the team could be leaning even more on […]

Jalen Suggs on the Injury Report Again for Wednesday Night

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's contest in Indiana. He's already missed seven games because of the left hip contusion, so fantasy managers aren't overly convinced he'll be back for this one. If he doesn't return, Tyus Jones will presumably remain in the starting lineup. Jones hasn't played the best in […]

Trae Young Questionable Against Timberwolves

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (quadriceps) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. He's been battling a quadriceps contusion, keeping him off the floor for Monday's loss to OKC. Nickeil Alexander-Walker entered the starting lineup, finishing with a team-high 30 points, adding five assists, four rebounds, and two steals. He also shot 6-for-14 from behind […]

Kristaps Porzingis Returning Versus Minnesota

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. He missed the last 10 contests because of an illness, so he'll probably be limited from a workload standpoint in his first appearance after the lengthy layoff. However, Porzingis' presence will presumably send Onyeka Okongwu back […]

Jalen Johnson Not Listed on the Injury Report for Wednesday

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (illness) isn't listed on the injury report heading into Wednesday's game versus Minnesota. He wasn't feeling well, forcing him to miss Monday's loss to OKC, his first absence in nearly a month. Vit Krejci got the start in that one, finishing with 18 points, two assists, and one rebound while […]

Mark Williams Suspended for One Game, Won't Face Washington

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams (suspension) will miss Monday's meeting with the Washington Wizards. He'll get a night off without pay for his role in a physical altercation with Jose Alvarado during Saturday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Williams will likely be back on Wednesday in Cleveland. In the meantime, Oso Ighodaro, averaging 6.3 […]

Mitchell Robinson Sidelined Against New Orleans

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Monday against New Orleans. The 2018 No. 36 overall pick was on the court for Saturday's win over the Atlanta Hawks, finishing with six points, nine boards, two steals, and one block. He'll sit this one out to rest before presumably returning on Wednesday night […]

Jalen Johnson Under The Weather, Ruled Out on Monday

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (illness) won't play on Monday against OKC. With Trae Young (quadriceps) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) ruled out, Johnson would have been in line for an expanded role. Unfortunately, he's not feeling well, so only time will tell if he'll be healthy enough to get back on the court on Wednesday […]

Khris Middleton Resting Versus Phoenix

Washington Wizards forward Khris Middleton (knee) won't suit up on Monday night against the Suns. The veteran logged 23 minutes in Sunday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds, one steal, and one block. As usual, he'll sit out the second of back-to-back contests. With Kyshawn George (hip) also ruled out, […]

Kyshawn George Out Again on Monday

Washington Wizards guard Kyshawn George (hip) won't play on Monday against Phoenix. He was active for Friday's win over the Toronto Raptors, finishing with 23 points, six rebounds, and three assists. However, the 22-year-old is now battling a left hip flexor strain, forcing him out for a second-straight contest. With Khris Middleton (knee) resting, Tre […]

De'Aaron Fox Questionable Against the Cavaliers

San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox (adductor, illness) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He didn't suit up for Saturday's loss to the Jazz because of adductor tightness. The 28-year-old is also battling an illness. Justin Champagnie entered the starting lineup versus Utah, although it was Keldon Johnson and Dylan Harper benefiting […]

Bam Adebayo Expected Back on Monday Night

Miami Heat forward/center Bam Adebayo (back) is probable heading into Monday's meeting with the visiting Nuggets after missing the last two games because of lower back soreness. Assuming Adebayo is cleared to return, he should immediately find a spot in all fantasy lineups. With that said, his presence will likely result in Pelle Larsson, who […]

Kon Knueppel Won't Suit Up Against Milwaukee

Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel (ankle) won't play on Sunday versus Milwaukee. The rookie has played exceptionally well throughout the 2025 campaign. He sprained his ankle in Friday's 120-105 victory over the Orlando Magic. Fortunately, X-rays were negative, so Knueppel should be considered day-to-day, although fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see him return on Wednesday […]

Ryan Kalkbrenner Still Out on Monday

Charlotte Hornets center Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) remains out on Monday against Milwaukee. He's still day-to-day because of a sprained left elbow, although many fantasy managers aren't convinced that he'll be back for Wednesday's clash versus the Warriors or Friday's rematch with the Bucks. Mason Plumlee (groin) is also out again, meaning Moussa Diabate will presumably […]

John Collins Won't Face the Pistons on Sunday Night

Los Angeles Clippers forward John Collins (illness) won't play on Sunday against Detroit. He's not feeling well, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see if he'll return on Tuesday night versus the Sacramento Kings. The Clippers are also down Ivica Zubac (ankle), meaning Ty Lue may continue to rely on Nicolas Batum, who […]

Kyshawn George Ruled Out on Sunday

Washington Wizards forward Kyshawn George (hip) won't suit up for Sunday's matchup with Memphis. He logged 28 minutes in Friday's win over the Toronto Raptors, finishing with 23 points, six boards, and three assists while shooting 3-for-5 from deep. Fantasy managers should consider George day-to-day, so there may be a chance he'll be back on […]

Jock Landale Out Again on Sunday

Memphis Grizzlies center Jock Landale (calf) won't play on Sunday against Washington. With Zach Edey (ankle) sidelined, Landale has been seeing extra minutes, resulting in career-high averages of 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. His next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus the Philadelphia 76ers. While Landale is out, Jaren Jackson […]

Josh Hart to Miss at Least Two More Games

New York Knicks forward Josh Hart (ankle) was already ruled out for Saturday's meeting with Atlanta. He tweaked his ankle during the win over the Cavs on Christmas. Unfortunately, Hart's absence will extend beyond Saturday's contest, with Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reporting that the 30-year-old will miss at least the upcoming games […]

Mohamed Diawara Starting on Saturday Night

New York Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara will start in Saturday's meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. Josh Hart (ankle) will miss the next few games, at the very least, after tweaking his ankle in the Christmas win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Diawara has started once this season, amassing five points, three boards, and one steal. He's […]

Bam Adebayo Ruled Out Again on Saturday

Miami Heat forward/center Bam Adebayo (back) won't play on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers, marking his second-straight absence. It's unknown if he'll suit up on Monday night versus Denver. However, while Adebayo is sidelined, Kel'el Ware (quadriceps), who is available, Normal Powell, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. should also continue to benefit on both ends of […]
