Dennis Clausen

1847 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Lauri Markkanen Back on Saturday Night

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (knee) is available for Saturday's game at Golden State. He didn't suit up for the recent 118-101 loss to the Clippers. Svi Mykhailiuk entered the starting lineup, finishing with five points, two boards, and one assist in 24 minutes. With Keyonte George (illness) also back in action, Mykhailiuk will likely […]

Keyonte George Available Versus Golden State

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) will suit up for Saturday's game at Golden State after missing his first contest of the 2025 campaign on Thursday in the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The 22-year-old is having a fantastic season, averaging 24.6 points, 6.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 37.4% shooting from behind the arc, […]

PJ Hall Starting Again on Saturday Night

Charlotte Hornets center PJ Hall will start in Saturday's meeting with the Bulls. With Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) and Moussa Diabate (wrist) both sidelined, the Hornets are thin at the five spot. The 23-year-old got the first start of his career in Friday's one-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, and […]

Joel Embiid Upgraded to Available on Saturday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Saturday against the Knicks. As usual, the multi-time All-Star carried an injury designation. However, he'll be on the floor on Saturday night. Embiid is starting to return to form after struggling to begin the 2025 campaign. He combined for 65 points in recent meetings with the […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Returning on Saturday Night

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (illness) will play on Saturday against Philadelphia. He didn't suit up for Friday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks, his third absence of the 2025 campaign. Fortunately, that trend won't continue. As usual, KAT is a must-start in all fantasy setups. Ariel Hukporti, who had eight points, 16 rebounds, and […]

Jalen Suggs to Undergo Further Testing on Knee Injury

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee) did not return to Friday's loss to the Chicago Bulls. The 24-year-old logged 20 minutes in that one, finishing with 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, and one steal before suffering a right knee strain in the third quarter. According to head coach Jamahl Mosley, he will be re-evaluated […]

Devin Vassell to Miss "More Than a Few Games"

San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (adductor) was injured in Monday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. An MRI confirmed an adductor strain, already costing him meetings with the Knicks and most recently, Friday's win over the Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, Vassell is projected to miss additional contests moving ahead, with head coach Mitch Johnson stating that […]

Franz Wagner Expected to Return "Within the Next Week"

According to broadcaster Jeff Turner, the Orlando Magic are expected to get forward Franz Wagner (ankle) "back within the next week." Orlando has upcoming games against the Pacers, Wizards, Nets, and 76ers during that span, so it appears there is a light at the end of the tunnel for fantasy managers. The 2021 No. 8 […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Available Versus Charlotte

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is clear to suit up for Friday's matchup versus Charlotte. The multi-time MVP was listed on the injury report. However, that's nothing new, with Antetokounmpo in line to appear in his fourth-straight contest. He has faced the Hornets twice throughout the 2025 campaign, averaging 24.5 points, 12.5 assists, 5.5 […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Out on Friday Night

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (illness) won't suit up on Friday against Atlanta. The Knicks also won't have Mitchell Robinson (ankle), meaning the team will be extremely thin at the five. New York will play again on Saturday versus the visiting 76ers. Hopefully, KAT will feel better by then. In the meantime, Ariel Hukporti […]

Egor Demin Won't Suit Up Against Houston

Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin (back) won't play on Thursday against Houston. He had 23 points in Monday's loss to the Golden State Warriors. However, the rookie will sit this one out because of back soreness. With Michael Porter Jr. (illness) also sidelined, Noah Clowney, Danny Wolf, and Nicolas Claxton are all in line for […]

Ace Bailey Still Out on Thursday Night

Utah Jazz guard Ace Bailey (hip) remains out for Thursday's meeting with the Clippers, marking his third-straight absence. With Keyonte George (illness), Lauri Markkanen (knee), and Jusuf Nurkic (toe) also ruled out, Bailey would have been in line for a significant bump on the offensive end. However, since he's sidelined as well, Walter Clayton Jr. […]

Lauri Markkanen Ruled Out on Thursday

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (knee) will not play on Thursday against the Clippers. He had 22 points, nine boards, two steals, and one block in Tuesday's loss to the Boston Celtics. However, the veteran won't suit up for this one because of knee soreness. Keyonte George (illness), Ace Bailey (hip), and Jusuf Nurkic (toe) […]

Michael Porter Jr. Out on Thursday

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (illness) won't play on Thursday against Houston. He had 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals in Monday's 120-107 loss to the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, Porter popped up on the injury report because of an illness, so he'll miss his first game in nearly a month. […]

Tobias Harris Won't Suit Up Against Miami

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (hip) won't play on Thursday versus Miami. He suffered a hip sprain in Tuesday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers, ending his night after only five minutes of work. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, although they shouldn't be surprised if he misses more games moving ahead. With Caris LeVert […]

Lauri Markkanen on the Injury Report for Thursday Night

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (knee) is questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Clippers. The veteran was available on Tuesday in the loss to the Boston Celtics, amassing 22 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and one block in 38 minutes of action. With Keyonte George (illness) questionable, and Jusuf Nurkic (toe) and Ace Bailey […]

Keyonte George Battling an Illness, Might Miss Thursday's Game

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (illness) is questionable for the meeting with the Clippers on Thursday night. He's having an excellent 2025 campaign, averaging a career-high 24.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 boards. The 22-year-old is also coming off one of his most productive games of the season, amassing 37 points in Tuesday's loss to […]

Jusuf Nurkic Won't Play on Thursday Evening

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (toe) won't suit up for Thursday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 2014 No. 16 overall pick is averaging close to a double-double this season, most recently amassing 26 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists on Tuesday in the loss to the Boston Celtics. It's unknown when he suffered […]

Tari Eason Questionable Versus Brooklyn

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game against Brooklyn. He recently returned after missing over a month because of an oblique injury. Since then, the 24-year-old has appeared in the Rockets' previous five contests. However, his status is now in jeopardy as a result of an illness. With so many players […]

Tobias Harris Not Expected to Suit Up on Thursday

Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris (hip) is doubtful for Thursday's meeting with Miami. He logged six minutes in Tuesday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers because of a left hip injury. Unfortunately, that puts his status in doubt for Thursday's game and beyond. With Caris LeVert (knee) also sidelined, Ron Holland II, coming off a […]

Alperen Sengun Questionable Versus Brooklyn

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (soleus) is questionable for Thursday's game against Brooklyn after missing the last two contests because of a calf strain. The Rockets are hurting heading into this one, with Clint Capela (illness) and Steven Adams (ankle) also carrying a questionable designation. As a result, Houston may need to roll with Dorian […]

Mason Plumlee Undergoes Groin Surgery

Charlotte Hornets center Mason Plumlee (groin) underwent surgery "to address an injury to his right groin." He will be re-evaluated in six weeks, with the team planning to announce updates "as appropriate." The 35-year-old signed with the Hornets in July after bouncing around the NBA since being drafted in 2013 by the Brooklyn Nets. He […]

Josh Giddey Sidelined "at Least a Few Weeks"

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) will "miss at least a few weeks" as a result of the hamstring strain that he sustained during Monday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 2021 No. 6 overall pick has played well throughout the 2025 campaign, averaging career-highs in points (19.5), rebounds (9.1), […]

Desmond Bane Might Miss Wednesday's Game in Indiana

Orlando Magic forward Desmond Bane (back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Indiana. He hasn't missed a game this season, although that trend may come to an end after he experienced back spasms in Monday's loss to Toronto. With Jalen Suggs (hip) also uncertain to suit up, the team could be leaning even more on […]

Jalen Suggs on the Injury Report Again for Wednesday Night

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's contest in Indiana. He's already missed seven games because of the left hip contusion, so fantasy managers aren't overly convinced he'll be back for this one. If he doesn't return, Tyus Jones will presumably remain in the starting lineup. Jones hasn't played the best in […]

Trae Young Questionable Against Timberwolves

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (quadriceps) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. He's been battling a quadriceps contusion, keeping him off the floor for Monday's loss to OKC. Nickeil Alexander-Walker entered the starting lineup, finishing with a team-high 30 points, adding five assists, four rebounds, and two steals. He also shot 6-for-14 from behind […]

Kristaps Porzingis Returning Versus Minnesota

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. He missed the last 10 contests because of an illness, so he'll probably be limited from a workload standpoint in his first appearance after the lengthy layoff. However, Porzingis' presence will presumably send Onyeka Okongwu back […]

Jalen Johnson Not Listed on the Injury Report for Wednesday

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (illness) isn't listed on the injury report heading into Wednesday's game versus Minnesota. He wasn't feeling well, forcing him to miss Monday's loss to OKC, his first absence in nearly a month. Vit Krejci got the start in that one, finishing with 18 points, two assists, and one rebound while […]

Mark Williams Suspended for One Game, Won't Face Washington

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams (suspension) will miss Monday's meeting with the Washington Wizards. He'll get a night off without pay for his role in a physical altercation with Jose Alvarado during Saturday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Williams will likely be back on Wednesday in Cleveland. In the meantime, Oso Ighodaro, averaging 6.3 […]

Mitchell Robinson Sidelined Against New Orleans

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Monday against New Orleans. The 2018 No. 36 overall pick was on the court for Saturday's win over the Atlanta Hawks, finishing with six points, nine boards, two steals, and one block. He'll sit this one out to rest before presumably returning on Wednesday night […]
