Dennis Clausen

13594 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Michael Mayer Ruled Out for Week 5

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (concussion) won't play in Sunday's meeting with the Colts. He suffered a concussion in the Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders and didn't suit up in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears. While the 24-year-old practiced in a limited capacity during […]

Malik Nabers "to Undergo Surgery This Week"

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) will undergo surgery "this week." The wideout suffered a torn ACL and meniscus during the Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, prematurely ending his season. He was also battling a partially torn labrum and turf toe, which are expected to […]

Christian Watson May Return to Practice After the Bye

According to Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, there's been discussions about opening the practice window for wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) after the team returns from the Week 5 bye. The wideout has indicated in previous weeks that was the plan. However, fantasy managers will need to wait for an official update regarding […]

Jayson Tatum to Return in March?

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (Achilles) appears to have a chance to return to the court in March. The 27-year-old suffered a torn Achilles in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the New York Knicks back in May, resulting in surgery the very next day. Miraculously, […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo to Join the Bucks in Miami

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) will reportedly meet the team in Miami leading up to the exhibition with the Heat. The multi-time MVP averaged 27.3 points in seven games for Greece in FIBA 2025 EuroBasket. Unfortunately, he came down with a case of COVID-19, preventing his return to the United States. It's unknown if […]

Jaden Ivey Fully Recovered From Fractured Fibula

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (leg) is healthy and ready to play after suffering a fractured fibula during the New Year's Day meeting with the Orlando Magic. Admittedly, it wasn't an easy rehab process for the 23-year-old, but with the injury behind him, he's looking forward to the start of the season. "The journey has […]

Nikola Jovic Agrees to a Four-Year Contract Extension with Miami

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, forward Nikola Jovic agreed to a four-year, $62.4 million contract extension with the Miami Heat. The 22-year-old was selected in the first round (No. 27 overall) by the Heat in the 2022 NBA Draft. He had a few rough seasons to begin his tenure in the National Basketball Association. However, […]

Gary Payton II Staying with the Warriors

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, free-agent guard Gary Payton II will return to the Warriors. The terms of the contract weren't announced. Like Al Horford and De'Anthony Melton, who also agreed to deals, Payton was anticipated to sign for months. However, negotiations with restricted free-agent Jonathan Kuminga made things more complicated. Payton logged 62 games […]

De'Anthony Melton Returning to Golden State

Accoring to ESPN's Shams Charania, free-agent guard De'Anthony Melton will sign with Golden State. The 2018 No. 46 overall pick appeared in only six games for the Warriors last season before suffering a torn ACL. He played relatively well despite the small sample size, averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. Melton was traded […]

Al Horford Agrees to Join the Warriors

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, free-agent forward/center Al Horford agreed to a multi-year deal to join the Warriors. This has seemingly been in the works. However, negotiations with restricted free-agent Jonathan Kuminga stalled the process. The 2007 No. 3 overall pick averaged 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds last season. While he wasn't consistently reliable for […]

Jaylin Noel Likely Won't be Involved Enough for Fantasy Managers in Week 4

Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel had only two catches (three targets) for 11 yards in the first three games of the 2025 campaign. Christian Kirk missed two contests to begin the year, so there was an opportunity for others to step up. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Kirk's absence didn't do anything to benefit Noel, […]

Brian Thomas Jr. Good to Go Against the Niners

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (wrist) doesn't carry an injury designation ahead of the Week 4 matchup with the 49ers. Thomas has been battling a wrist injury. Fortunately, he logged full practices throughout the week. Thomas had a stellar rookie year, amassing 87 catches (133 targets) for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, […]

Kimani Vidal Elevated to the Active Roster

The Los Angeles Chargers elevated running back Kimani Vidal to the active roster on Saturday ahead of the Week 4 matchup with the Giants. Last season, the 24-year-old logged 43 carries for 155 yards, adding five catches (nine targets) for 62 yards and a touchdown. However, he hasn't appeared in a game for the Bolts […]

Hassan Haskins Not a Reliable Option in Week 4

Los Angeles Chargers running back Hassan Haskins logged a season-high seven offensive snaps in the Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, his increase in playing time came at the expense of Najee Harris (Achilles), who will miss the remainder of the 2025 campaign. As a result, Omarion Hampton is expected to see even […]

Kirk Cousins "Staying Put for Now"

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Atlanta Falcons have no plans on trading quarterback Kirk Cousins, at least "for now." There are several factors to consider regarding a potential deal involving the signal-caller. He has a no-trade clause. In addition, his hefty contract is something most teams aren't willing (or able) to take […]

Chris Jones Added to the Injury Report

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones (personal) was added to the injury report ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Baltimore Ravens. He's not injured and doesn't carry a game status designation. However, his status is certainly worth monitoring. The 31-year-old has totaled five tackles and one sack through the first three weeks of the […]

Russell Wilson "Expected to Emerge as Trade Candidate"

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson "is expected to emerge as a trade candidate" ahead of the deadline. With the G-Men winless through the first three games of the season, head coach Brian Daboll made the call to bench Wilson heading into the Week 4 meeting […]

Evan McPherson Not a Viable Fantasy Option Versus Denver

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson hasn't missed this season. However, it's mostly due to a lack of opportunities, with the 26-year-old attempting only three kicks through the first three weeks of the 2025 campaign while draining all seven extra-point attempts. The Bengals offense has struggled so far this season. Many aren't optimistic that things will […]

Drew Sample Still Not a Starting Fantasy Option in Week 4 Despite Workload

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample has only three catches this season, with one resulting in a trip to the end zone. The 29-year-old has logged more snaps than Mike Gesicki and Noah Fant (foot) through the first three weeks of the 2025 campaign. However, both have received more attention from quarterbacks Joe Burrow (toe) […]

Tee Higgins Not a Trustworthy Fantasy Option on Monday Night

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins struggled through the first three weeks. The wideout has been targeted 14 times, catching seven passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. To be fair, the entire offense hasn't looked the best. He's also at least stayed healthy, which is a plus. However, Higgins' lack of production has certainly […]

Jake Browning Looking to Lead Cincinnati to Another Win

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning will look to get the team back on track with a win over the Broncos on Monday night. With Joe Burrow (toe) out of the equation, Browning has gotten some action in the last two weeks. Unfortunately, the 29-year-old hasn't played well, combining for 381 yards, three touchdowns, and five […]

Ja'Marr Chase and the Bengals Offense Looking to Turn it Around on Monday Night

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was the No. 1 fantasy option for most entering the 2025 campaign. The former LSU Tiger is coming off a quality season, amassing 127 catches (175 targets) for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns. Unfortunately, things didn't go well through the first three weeks. Granted, Chase had 14 receptions for […]

Chase Brown Looking to Put Struggles Behind Him on Monday Night

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown is coming off a quality year. Unfortunately, that success didn't follow him into the 2025 campaign. Through the first three weeks, the 25-year-old has 47 attempts. However, he's only amassed 93 yards for a miserable 2.0 yards per carry. With that said, Brown can't necessarily take all of the […]

Tyler Lockett Nowhere Near a Starting Fantasy Option in Week 4

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett has had a miserable year so far. After a stellar tenure with the Seattle Seahawks, the wideout has only six grabs (eight targets) for 46 yards in his first three games as a Titan. Granted, he's older, which won't help anyone's ceiling. However, outside of that, quarterback Cam Ward […]

Calvin Ridley Not an Ideal Fantasy Option Versus Houston Despite Upside

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley hasn't played well this season. Through the first three weeks, the wideout has only eight catches (21 targets) for 111 yards. He also hasn't scored a touchdown. To be fair, quarterback Cam Ward (ankle, calf) has played poorly, with the rookie throwing for 506 yards, two touchdowns, and one […]

Courtland Sutton Draws a Decent Matchup Versus Cincinnati

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is coming off a six-catch, 118-yard, one-touchdown effort in the Week 3 loss to the Chargers. He currently leads the team in receiving yards (185), receiving touchdowns (two), and targets (21). Although some believed Troy Franklin was making his case to become the top wideout on the depth chart […]

Bo Nix Hoping to Get it Together Against the Bengals

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has had his share of ups and downs through the first three weeks of the season. He threw two interceptions and completed only 62.5% of his attempts in the Week 1 win over the Titans. While the signal-caller played much better in Week 2, his efforts weren't enough to lead […]

J.K. Dobbins Looking to Extend Touchdown Streak to Four Games on Monday Night

Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins has led the way for the team through the first three weeks of the 2025 campaign. Many assumed RJ Harvey would have a more prominent role in the offense, although that hasn't happened, with the rookie receiving only two attempts in the Week 3 loss to the Chargers. Harvey […]

NFL DFS Picks for Week 4 - FanDuel Top Plays, Value Picks for Daily Fantasy Football Lineups (2025)

Week 4 began with a Thursday night NFC West meeting between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals. Then, there is an early morning game on Sunday, with the Steelers and Vikings facing off in Ireland. While there are also two games on Monday night, there are still more than enough DFS options on Sunday.   […]

Can Khalil Shakir Stay Involved Enough for Fantasy Managers Moving Ahead?

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir caught six of his nine targets in the narrow Week 1 win over the Baltimore Ravens. While the volume was there, he would have only 64 yards to show for it. He fizzled in Week 2 versus the New York Jets, amassing only one grab for 12 yards. The […]
