Dennis Clausen

13594 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Scotty Miller Ruled Out for Week 8

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Scotty Miller (finger) won't play in Sunday's meeting with the Green Bay packers. The wideout practiced in full on Wednesday. Unfortunately, he injured his finger during practice on Thursday and wasn't available for Friday's session. Miller has appeared in six games throughout the 2025 campaign. However, he hasn't done much, catching […]

Zaccharie Risacher Out Again on Saturday

Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (ankle) won't play on Saturday versus OKC. The 20-year-old tweaked his ankle in the loss to the Toronto Raptors on opening night. As a result, he didn't suit up for Friday's win over the Orlando Magic. Nickeil Alexander-Walker got the start in that one, scoring 19 points despite going 1-for-10 […]

Mark Williams Sidelined Versus Denver

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams (knee, injury management) won't play on Saturday versus Denver. The 23-year-old hasn't played well this season, averaging only 4.0 points, 8.5 boards, and 1.0 blocks. As expected, he'll get the night off to rest after logging 14 minutes in Friday's loss to the Clippers. Oso Ighodaro is in line to […]

Jalen Johnson Uncertain to Suit Up Versus OKC

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game versus OKC. Zaccharie Risacher (ankle) has already been ruled out. To make matters worse, Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is also questionable because of Flu-like symptoms. While Nickeil Alexander-Walker is already in line for more scoring opportunities, his fantasy ceiling will increase even more if Johnson […]

Andrew Nembhard Ruled Out Against Memphis

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) is sidelined for Saturday's clash with the Memphis Grizzlies. He recorded four points and four assists in Thursday's double-overtime loss to OKC. Unfortunately, Nembhard's night came to an abrupt end after only 17 minutes of work due to a sprained shoulder. The Pacers will play again on Sunday in […]

Kristaps Porzingis Questionable on Saturday Night

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with OKC. The 30-year-old had 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in 26 minutes in the loss to the Raptors on opening night. However, he's now dealing with Flu-like symptoms, which caused him to miss Friday's win over the Orlando Magic. If he […]

Jalen Suggs Ruled Out on Saturday

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee, injury management) won't play on Saturday versus Chicago. The 24-year-old logged 19 minutes in Friday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Still, he's coming off knee surgery, so he'll take the night off to rest before presumably suiting back up on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Without him, the Magic […]

Chet Holmgren Available to Face the Hawks

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (back) is available for Saturday's meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. The 23-year-old popped up on the injury report because of back soreness. However, that's not surprising, considering OKC went into double-overtime in both games to begin the 2025 campaign. He is currently averaging 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.0 […]

Noah Fant Still Hard to Trust in Week 8

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Noah Fant finished the Week 7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers by catching all four targets for 44 yards. He also scored a touchdown, his first visit to the end zone since the Week 1 meeting with the Cleveland Browns. With Mike Gesicki (pectoral) out of commission and sitting on the […]

Chase Brown Looking to Build on Previous Showing in Week 8 Versus the Jets

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown hasn't had the year most had anticipated heading into the 2025 campaign. He scored a touchdown in the Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old hasn't visited the end zone since. However, Brown at least displayed signs of life in the Thursday night win over the […]

Tee Higgins Looking for Another Strong Showing in Week 8

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is coming off his best performance of the 2025 campaign, amassing six catches (10 targets) for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Thursday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Ja'Marr Chase played better, Higgins still got things done for fantasy managers. With the Bengals one victory away […]

Ja'Marr Chase Looking to Remain Hot Versus Short-Handed Jets Defense

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase played exceptionally well in the AFC North clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. The wideout would go on to finish that one by catching 16 of his 23 targets (both career-highs) for 161 yards and one touchdown. It appears after a rocky start (excluding Week 2) to […]

Joe Flacco a Starting Fantasy Option Versus the Jets

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco looked good in the narrow win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. He would go on to finish that one by throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns off 31-for-47 passing. With the Bengals sitting at a 3-4 through the first seven weeks of the 2025 campaign, the team […]

Josh Hart Available Versus the Celtics

New York Knicks forward Josh Hart (back) will play on Friday versus the Boston Celtics. He didn't suit up for the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on opening night. Fortunately, after riding a questionable designation, Hart will be on the floor. The 30-year-old averaged 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.5 steals in 37.6 […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Cleared to Face the Celtics

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) will play on Friday versus the Boston Celtics. KAT popped up on the injury report because of a nagging quad strain heading into this contest, just like he did leading up to the Knicks opener versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Fortunately, he's good to go. New York will also […]

De'Andre Hunter Sidelined on Friday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) won't play on Friday versus the Brooklyn Nets. The 27-year-old is battling a knee contusion. Although he's moving in the right direction, he'll now miss his second contest of the 2025 campaign. Hunter was reportedly "moving around pretty well" at practice on Thursday. However, it's anyone's guess if he'll […]

Kristaps Porzingis Won't Play on Friday

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Friday versus the Orlando Magic. The veteran had 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in the loss to the Raptors on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, he isn't feeling well, developing Flu-like symptoms. It's unknown if he'll be good to go when the Hawks meet OKC on […]

Kevin Porter Jr. Out at Least Two Games

Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) will miss the team's upcoming road games in Toronto and Cleveland. The 25-year-old got off to a great start in Wednesday's opener versus the Washington Wizards. However, he tweaked his ankle near the end of the first quarter, finishing the night with 10 points in nine minutes of […]

Mitchell Robinson Out Again on Friday

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Friday night against the Boston Celtics. It's unknown how much longer the 27-year-old will be out of the equation. However, he'll now miss his second-straight game on Friday night. Ariel Hukporti got the start for Robinson in the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday […]

Josh Hart Questionable Versus Boston

New York Knicks forward Josh Hart (back) is questionable for Friday's meeting with the Boston Celtics. The lumbar spasms aren't anything new, although it was enough to keep him off the floor for the opener versus the Cavs on Wednesday night. New York could certainly use him, with the Knicks also listing OG Anunoby (ankle), […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Back on the Injury Report for Friday

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) is questionable for Friday's game versus the visiting Celtics. KAT bounced between injury designations before finally getting the green light to suit up for the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on opening night. For a guy dealing with a quad strain, he played well enough, finishing the evening […]

Kevin Porter Jr. Won't Return on Wednesday Evening

Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) won't return to Wednesday's matchup with the Washington Wizards. The 25-year-old was on a roll to begin the contest. Unfortunately, he tweaked his ankle near the end of the first quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Porter will officially finish this one with […]

Anthony Edwards a Game-Time Decision for Wednesday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (back) remains questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. The 24-year-old popped up on the injury report due to back spasms. Fortunately, he was a participant in Wednesday morning's shootaround. For now, Edwards is a game-time call. However, considering he has only missed six games combined in the […]

Jaylen Brown Available Versus Philadelphia

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (hamstring) will play on Wednesday versus the Philadelphia 76ers. The 28-year-old was listed as questionable because of a hamstring injury. However, it won't be enough to keep him off the floor for the opener. Brown averaged 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals last season. With Jayson Tatum […]

Joel Embiid on a Minutes Cap Versus Boston

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is available for Wednesday's matchup versus the Boston Celtics. The 31-year-old spent all offseason working his way back from knee surgery. While he's received the green light to get on the floor, head coach Nick Nurse indicated Embiid would be on a minutes cap. It's unknown how much action […]

Jalen Suggs Good to Go on Wednesday Night

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee) will play in Wednesday's matchup with the Miami Heat, according to head coach Jamahl Mosley. There was some doubt about his availability for the opener after he underwent knee surgery back in March. However, the 24-year-old will be out there when the Magic begin the 2025 campaign. Suggs averaged […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Now Doubtful for the Opener

New York Knicks center/forward Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) is now listed as doubtful heading into Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was deemed questionable as of Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, it appears KAT is heading in the wrong direction, putting his availability for the opener in doubt. At this point, fantasy managers are certainly hoping Towns […]

Gabe Vincent Starting on Tuesday Night

According to NBA reporter Jovan Buha, Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent will start in Tuesday's opener versus the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James (back) is out, so head coach JJ Redick will roll with Vincent, Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and Deandre Ayton to kick off the 2025 campaign. Of course, that is […]

Jimmy Butler III Officially Good to Go Versus the Lakers

Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler III (ankle) will play on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran was listed on the injury report due to a sprained left ankle. While he carried a probable designation, suggesting he would play all along, fantasy managers are happy to see the official update. Butler began […]

Jonathan Kuminga Officially Available on Tuesday Night

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) is officially active for Tuesday's game versus the Los Angeles Lakers. It was an eventful offseason for Kuminga, with the 23-year-old agreeing to a two-year, $48.5 million contract after months of negotiations. While it's unknown how much longer he'll stay in Golden State once he's eligible to be […]
