Dennis Clausen

14076 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Keyonte George Remains Out on Tuesday

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George (ankle) won't play on Tuesday versus Indiana. The 22-year-old tweaked his left ankle during the 109-99 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night and didn't suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Toronto Raptors. Isaiah Collier got the start and contributed in a big way, finishing the evening with […]

Kevin Huerter Won't Suit Up for Rematch Versus Miami

Chicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (back) won't suit up for Sunday's rematch with Miami. He got the start when these clubs met on Saturday, finishing with nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Unfortunately, Huerter will sit this one out due to back spasms. With Coby White and Nikola Vucevic back in the lineup, Huerter's […]

Jalen Smith Out Again Versus Miami

Chicago Bulls forward/center Jalen Smith (calf) won't play on Sunday against Miami. It will be Smith's second-straight absence because of tightness in his right calf, so his next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Fortunately, Nikola Vucevic will return after getting the night off on Saturday to rest. Ayo […]

Josh Giddey Out Again on Sunday

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) won't play in Sunday's rematch with the Heat, marking his third-straight absence. The left hamstring injury isn't anything new, although fantasy managers are starting to get even more concerned at this point. Giddey's next chance to suit up will be on Tuesday versus Milwaukee. In the meantime, Coby White, […]

Michael Porter Jr. Out on Sunday Night

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (personal) won't play on Sunday versus Detroit. He had a game-high 38 points on Friday night against the Denver Nuggets, his former club. However, Porter will now miss his second-straight contest after sitting out Saturday's win over the Utah Jazz. With Noah Clowney (back) also out, Egor Demin, Danny […]

Duop Reath on the Move to Atlanta

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Trail Blazers traded center Duop Reath (foot) to the Hawks in exchange for guard Vit Krejci. The 29-year-old hasn't had a quality season, averaging a career-low 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 32 appearances. He also suffered a stress fracture in his right foot and recently underwent successful season-ending […]

Vit Krejci Acquired by Portland

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Atlanta Hawks traded guard Vit Krejci to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for center Duop Reath and two future second-round draft picks. Krejci began his career playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder before spending the last four seasons in Atlanta, most recently amassing a career-high 9.0 points while […]

Paul George Suspended for 25 Games

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George was issued a 25-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy. The multi-time All-Star has accepted full responsibility, stating "he made the mistake of taking an improper medication" due to mental health issues. George has averaged 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals throughout the […]

Egor Demin Won't Play Versus Denver

Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin (foot) won't suit up for Thursday's meeting with the Denver Nuggets. It's the first of a back-to-back for the Nets, so the rookie is getting a night off to rest before likely returning on Friday against the Utah Jazz. Without Demin on the floor, Ben Saraf is the favorite to […]

Cam Thomas Resting on Thursday Night

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) won't play on Thursday in Denver. The Nets will then travel to Utah to meet the Jazz on Friday night, so Thomas will presumably be back for that contest. With Noah Clowney (back) and Egor Demin (foot) also out, Michael Porter Jr. should receive even more opportunities to produce […]

Anthony Edwards Won't Play on Monday Night

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (foot) won't play in Monday's rematch with Golden State. He was on the court for Sunday's loss to the Warriors, amassing 32 points and 11 rebounds in 34 minutes. The 24-year-old has been battling a right foot injury, so the team is likely playing it safe, meaning he should be […]

Jusuf Nurkic Not Expected to Play on Tuesday Night

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (illness) is doubtful heading into Tuesday's game against the Clippers. He's been making frequent appearances on the injury report because of an illness. However, the 31-year-old has been playing through it, amassing a triple-double in each of the last three contests. Unfortunately, it appears Nurkic won't be out there on […]

Jalen Green Questionable to Suit Up on Tuesday

Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green (hamstring) is considered questionable to play on Tuesday against Brooklyn. The 23-Year-old has been battling a nagging right hamstring strain since training camp. Although he managed to suit up for the recent win over the 76ers, he experienced tightness in the hamstring in the loss to the Atlanta Hawks on […]

Santi Aldama Back in Action on Monday

Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama (knee) will play on Monday versus the Houston Rockets after missing the last three games because of soreness. The Grizzlies are hurting, with Ja Morant (elbow), Zach Edey (ankle), and Jock Landale (personal), among others, all unavailable. As such, fantasy managers could see Aldama surpass his statistical averages of 14.0 […]

Paul George Resting Versus Charlotte

Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George (knee) won't play on Monday against the Hornets. The Sixers will face the Bucks on Tuesday night, so George will sit this one out before presumably returning for that contest. With Joel Embiid (knee) also ruled out, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Kelly Oubre Jr. should see the most scoring […]

Joel Embiid Won't Play on Monday Night

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) won't play on Monday in Charlotte. The 31-year-old has picked things up from a production standpoint of late, most recently amassing 38 points in Saturday's loss to the New York Knicks. His knee appeared to be bothering him late in that contest, so it's unknown if he's being held […]

Kawhi Leonard Will Face Brooklyn on Sunday

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (knee, illness) is available against the Nets. The multi-time All-Star isn't feeling well while also dealing with a left knee contusion. However, he's good to go for a favorable matchup versus Brooklyn, a team that has struggled defensively throughout the 2025 campaign. With Leonard cleared for action, Kobe Sanders […]

Jusuf Nurkic Cleared to Suit Up on Saturday Night

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (illness) will play on Saturday against Miami. He popped up on the injury report because of an illness, carrying a questionable tag. Nurkic has amassed two-straight triple-doubles, most recently finishing with 17 points, 14 assists, and 11 boards in Thursday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs. While it's hard to […]

Nolan Traore Ruled Out on Sunday

Brooklyn Nets guard Nolan Traore (illness) won't play on Sunday against the Clippers. The rookie had a career-high 21 points in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Boston Celtics. With Cam Thomas (ankle) ruled out, Traore would have been in line for more action, especially since he had double-digit scoring performances in three of his last […]

Aaron Gordon Ruled Out Against Memphis

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (hamstring) won't play on Sunday against Memphis. The 30-year-old played on Friday versus the Bucks, the second of a back-to-back. Unfortunately, he exited that contest because of a right hamstring strain, an injury that kept him off the floor for six weeks earlier in the season. There hasn't been much […]

Cam Thomas Won't Play on Sunday Against the Clippers

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Clippers. The 24-year-old has already missed plenty of time this season. He's also struggled statistically, averaging 16.2 points, his lowest since his sophomore campaign. Thomas tweaked his ankle during Friday's double-overtime loss to the Boston Celtics, so it's unknown how long he'll be […]

Jalen Suggs Available on Saturday Night

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee) will play on Saturday against Cleveland. His return will mark the end of an eight-game absence caused by a right MCL contusion. The 2021 No. 5 overall pick is expected to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup, although he'll likely be limited for at least a few contests. […]

Devin Booker Injures Ankle on Friday, Requires Assistance Off the Court

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (ankle) exited Friday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks and did not return. The 29-year-old was cooking, amassing 31 points before abruptly exiting late in the third quarter due to a sprained right ankle late. He was in obvious discomfort and required assistance off the court, so it certainly doesn't look […]

RJ Barrett Starting on Friday

Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (ankle) will play on Friday against Portland. He's missed the last seven games because of a sprained ankle. While the former Duke Blue Devil will probably be limited in his first game back from the extended layoff, he'll return to his usual role in the starting lineup. Barrett was averaging […]

Jonas Valanciunas Questionable Versus the Wizards

Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas (calf) is questionable for Thursday's meeting with the Wizards. The veteran big man suffered a right calf strain during the win over the Toronto Raptors on New Year's Eve. He was initially projected to be sidelined for at least four weeks. While that may remain the case, the questionable tag […]

Christian Braun Remains Sidelined on Thursday

Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun (ankle) remains out on Thursday versus the Washington Wizards. There hasn't been any real indication he's nearing a return, although the team certainly isn't looking to rush things regarding his recovery. While Braun continues to work his way back, Jalen Pickett is expected to stay in the starting lineup, with […]

Jalen Suggs Questionable Versus Charlotte

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (knee) is questionable for Thursday's game against Charlotte. He's missed seven contests because of his latest ailment, a right knee contusion. However, even if the 24-year-old isn't back for this one, the questionable designation at least suggests he's trending in a positive direction. If Suggs suits up, he'll probably see […]

Kel'el Ware Unavailable on Tuesday

Miami Heat center Kel'el Ware (hamstring) won't play on Tuesday versus Sacramento. He carried a questionable tag throughout the day. However, the 21-year-old will miss his first contest of the 2025 campaign because of hamstring tightness. Ware hasn't seen much action of late, averaging 20 minutes in January. Still, his absence should allow Nikola Jovic […]

Patrick Williams Won't Face the Nets

Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams (ankle) won't play on Sunday against Brooklyn. Williams logged 12 minutes when these clubs met on Friday night before he tweaked his right ankle and was eventually ruled out. It's unknown how long the injury will keep him out of commission. However, the 24-year-old has averaged a career-low 6.5 points […]

Josh Giddey Ruled Out on Sunday

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's meeting with the Nets. The 2021 No. 6 overall pick carried a doubtful tag heading into this one. While nobody expected him to play, the doubtful designation suggests he's progressing. In the meantime, Tre Jones should continue to roll with the starters, […]
