Dennis Clausen

13594 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Jarrett Allen Won't Play on Friday Night

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) won't play on Friday night versus the Toronto Raptors. The Cavs were already down Darius Garland (toe). To make matters worse, Donovan Mitchell (knee) also won't suit up. As far as Allen is concerned, he suffered a non-displaced fracture of his left ring finger in Wednesday's loss to the […]

Anthony Black Starting Versus Charlotte

Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black will start in Thursday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets. Jalen Suggs (knee) will take the night off after logging 21 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. Suggs will presumably be back on Saturday in Washington. Fow now, Black will roll with the first-five. The 21-year-old has averaged 11.6 […]

Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford Out Again on Wednesday

Dallas Mavericks centers Dereck Lively II (knee) and Daniel Gafford (ankle) will remain out for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Both are working their way back and trending in the right direction. Unfortunately, Lively and Gafford will miss another contest. The Mavericks won't play again until Saturday versus the visiting Pistons, so there's a […]

Anthony Davis Available Versus Indiana

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (Achilles) will play on Wednesday night versus the Indiana Pacers. It's not uncommon to see AD on the injury report. However, unlike many times in the past, he is good to go. The 32-year-old has played as well as expected during the 2025 campaign, averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.8 […]

Daniel Gafford Remains Out Versus OKC

Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (ankle) won't play on Monday versus OKC. The 27-year-old has appeared on the injury report all season. Although he's flirted with various designations, he hasn't played. With Dereck Lively II (knee) also sidelined, Anthony Davis will hold things down at the five. Max Christie is the favorite to slide into […]

Dereck Lively II Out on Monday Evening

Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (knee) won't play on Monday night against OKC. The 21-year-old hasn't done much for fantasy managers this season, averaging 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in the first three contests of the 2025 campaign. He's dealing with a knee contusion, an injury he picked up in Sunday's 139-129 […]

Jaylen Brown Available Against Pelicans

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (hamstring) is available for Monday's meeting with the Pelicans. The 29-year-old has appeared on the injury report all season because of a hamstring issue. Fortunately, he hasn't missed a game. Brown has benefited without Jayson Tatum (Achilles) on the floor, averaging a career-high 29.7 points with 5.3 boards and 3.7 […]

Jalen Johnson Available Versus Chicago

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is available for Monday's meeting with the Chicago Bulls. He was dealing with a sprained right ankle, keeping him off the floor for Saturday's loss with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fortunately, Johnson will be back after missing only one game. The Hawks will also welcome back Kristaps Porzingis (illness) […]

Kristaps Porzingis Back on Monday Night

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) will play on Monday night versus the Chicago Bulls. He missed the last two games because of an illness after amassing 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in the loss to the Toronto Raptors on opening night. The Hawks will also welcome back Jalen Johnson (ankle) and Zaccharie […]

Zion Williamson Ruled Out on Monday Night

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (foot) won't play on Monday night versus the Boston Celtics. It's only the third game of the 2025 campaign for the Pelicans. However, Williamson will already miss his first game. It's unfortunate, considering the former Duke Blue Devil is averaging 27.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 4.0 steals. […]

Joel Embiid Resting on Monday Night

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee, injury management) won't play in Monday's game against the visiting Orlando Magic. The 31-year-old logged 20 minutes in both of the Sixers' two contests to begin the 2025 campaign. That is by design, as the team wants to take things slow in his recovery from offseason knee surgery. Of […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Good to Go Against Miami

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (quadriceps) will play on Sunday against the Miami Heat. KAT has appeared on the injury report all season because of strained quadriceps. However, it hasn't been enough to keep him off the floor. Towns has averaged 22.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists so far during the 2025 campaign. […]

Miles McBride Won't Play on Sunday

New York Knicks guard Miles McBride (personal) won't play on Sunday versus the Miami Heat. The 25-year-old got the start in Friday's game against the Boston Celtics, finishing with 10 points while shooting a rough-2-for-9 from deep. He'll sit this one out due to personal reasons, so fantasy managers will wait and see if he […]

Brandon Miller Ruled Out Against Washington

Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller (shoulder) won't play on Sunday against the Washington Wizards. He suffered a left shoulder injury during the 125-121 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. It's unknown if the 22-year-old will be healthy enough to suit up for Tuesday's meeting with the Miami Heat. In the meantime, rookie Kon […]

Luka Doncic Out at Least a Week

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (finger, leg) won't play on Sunday versus the Sacramento Kings. In addition, he'll miss upcoming games against the Portland Trail Blazers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Memphis Grizzlies because of a sprained left finger along with a lower left leg contusion. Doncic will be reevaluated in seven days, so there's a […]

Jaylen Brown Cleared to Face Detroit

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (hamstring) is available for Sunday's game versus the Detroit Pistons. The 29-year-old was listed as questionable. However, this isn't his first appearance on the injury report this season, and it likely won't be his last. Brown has averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while shooting an efficient 45.5% […]

Bennedict Mathurin Sidelined Against Minnesota

Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (toe) won't play on Sunday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 23-year-old has been on a roll this season, averaging 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Unfortunately, he sprained his right Great Toe on Saturday night, so he won't suit up in the Pacers' third contest of the 2025 campaign. […]

Andrew Nembhard Out Again on Sunday Night

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) won't play on Sunday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He suffered a strained left shoulder in the double-overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on opening night. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old will miss his second-straight contest, so fantasy managers are now left wondering if he'll be cleared to suit up […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Expected to Play Versus Cleveland

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (toe) is listed as probable heading into Sunday's Central Division meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. It's a new season. However, as has been the norm in previous years, The Freak is back on the injury report. With that said, that will likely be the theme moving forward, so fantasy managers […]

Derrick White Good to Go Against Detroit

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (wrist) will play on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons. The 31-year-old has played well despite the C's sitting winless after two games, averaging 20.0 points, 4.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals. He's struggled from deep, going 29.2% from downtown. However, White should get out of his shooting funk at […]

Cam Thomas Available on Sunday

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (face) is available for Sunday's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. The 24-year-old suffered a nasal fracture in Friday's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the injury didn't stop him from finishing with 33 points and nine assists. He'll likely be wearing a face guard until the injury heals, so […]

Luka Doncic Dealing with a Finger Injury

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (finger) is questionable to play in Sunday's game in Sacramento. The 2018 No. 3 overall pick has been on a roll, most recently amassing 49 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists in Friday's win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He sustained a sprained finger in that one. Fortunately, it's on […]

Breece Hall Expected to Play Against Cincinnati

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Bengals. The 24-year-old was limited to 38 yards off 11 carries in the Week 7 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He also picked up a knee injury, limiting him in practice on […]

D'Andre Swift Likely to Suit Up in Week 8

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The 26-year-old has been dealing with the groin issue for a few weeks. However, it didn't stop him from suiting up for the Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints. […]

A.J. Brown "Expected to Have a Realistic Chance to Return" in Week 10

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (shoulder) has already been ruled out for Sunday's divisional clash with the New York Giants. However, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the wideout "is expected to have a realistic chance to return" in the Week 10 meeting with the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles will have a much-needed bye […]

Kirk Cousins "Officially" Starting in Week 8

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins will get the start in Sunday's meeting with the Dolphins. Michael Penix Jr. (knee) was limited during the week because of a bone bruise. Although it appears he's moving in the right direction, potentially returning in Week 9 versus the New England Patriots, he won't […]

Michael Penix Jr. "Has a Real Chance" to Return in Week 9

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (knee) "has a real chance" to play in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. The signal-caller was limited in practice throughout the week because of a bone bruise in his knee. Although Rapoport added that Penix might have been on the field […]

NFL to Review Practice "Situation" Surrounding Lamar Jackson

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the NFL will review the "practice and participation situation" surrounding Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring). He was initially listed as a full participant at practice on Friday, implying there was a chance he would be active in Week 8 versus the Chicago Bears. However, after the signal-caller was […]

KhaDarel Hodge Good to Go for Week 8

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge (pectoral) is no longer listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's clash with the Miami Dolphins. The 30-year-old appeared on the Week 8 edition of the injury report because of a pec issue. However, he logged full practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. With that in mind, Hodge […]

Charlie Jones Off the Injury Report for Week 8

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Charlie Jones (ribs) is off the injury report heading into Sunday's game against the New York Jets. The wideout has been banged up all year, so his presence on the injury report isn't anything new. However, he hasn't done much for managers all season, logging only four offensive snaps, leaving him […]
