Dennis Clausen

13905 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Andrew Wiggins Cleared to Play on Sunday Night

Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins (back) will play on Sunday versus the Knicks after missing Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics. The 30-year-old isn't having the best season, averaging 16.3 points, the second-lowest mark of his career. However, Tyler Herro (toe) remains sidelined, meaning Wiggins could pick up more of the slack on the scoring […]

Collin Sexton Sidelined Again on Saturday Evening

Charlotte Hornets guard Collin Sexton (quadriceps) isn't available for Saturday's game in Detroit. He was initially listed as questionable, so it appears he's inching closer toward a return. However, that won't happen on Saturday night. With LaMelo Ball recently returning from a stint on the shelf, Sexton's fantasy ceiling should be lower once he's healthy […]

Joel Embiid Doubtful for Meeting with Dallas

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee, illness) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Mavericks. The 2023 MVP logged three-straight appearances recently, combining for 77 points during that stretch. However, not only is he back on the report for injury management purposes, he's also dealing with an illness. If Embiid gets ruled out, […]

Jaylen Brown Not Expected to Play on Saturday Night

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (illness) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with Toronto. Like many of the players around the National Basketball Association of late, Brown's not feeling well. Considering he amassed 30 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in 35 minutes against the Heat on Friday night, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised to see […]

Rui Hachimura Questionable Versus the Clippers

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachiumura (groin) is questionable for the meeting with the Clippers on Saturday night. The Lakers are already down Austin Reaves (calf) and Deandre Ayton (elbow), so it's not a good time for Hachimura to miss his second contest of the 2025 campaign. However, considering this isn't the first groin injury […]

Ja'Marr Chase Looking to Build on Quality Week 15 Effort on Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has certainly had his share of ups and downs throughout the 2025 campaign. He hasn't scored a touchdown in weeks. Still, the wideout remains involved at a high level, most recently catching 10 of his 16 targets for 132 yards in the Week 15 AFC North clash with the […]

Chase Brown Still in the Must-Start Conversation in Week 16

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown struggled on the ground in the last three games. However, he at least made up for it by catching 17 passes during that span. Without question, fantasy managers were expecting more from the 25-year-old after a quality 2024 campaign. Still, the upside is there, as evident by his two-touchdown […]

Joe Burrow Aims to Get on Track After a Poor Showing in Week 15

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (knee) popped up on the injury report to begin the practice week. Fortunately, he logged full sessions and doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against Miami. The signal-caller completed only 52.2% of his attempts in the Thursday night win over Baltimore in Week 13, although he still tossed […]

Anthony Edwards on the Injury Report Again for Friday Night

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (foot) is questionable for Friday's matchup against OKC. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick missed only six games in the two seasons heading into the 2025 campaign. However, he's already missed seven this season. If Edwards stays on the shelf versus the champs, Bones Hyland is the favorite to remain […]

Joel Embiid on the Injury Report for Friday Due to an Illness

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (illness) is questionable for Friday's game in New York. Usually, he's listed on the injury report because of his knee. This time, the 31-year-old popped up on it due to an illness. Embiid has appeared in Philly's previous three contests, combining for 77 points during that stretch. Of course, the […]

Anthony Davis Cleared to Play Versus Detroit

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) will play on Thursday against Detroit. The 32-year-old was sidelined for nearly a month because of a calf strain. While he returned for the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on November 28, he's missed some time since then. AD has had a tough year outside of his injury […]

LaMelo Ball Available Against Atlanta

Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) is available for Thursday's meeting with the Hawks. On a night when Atlanta will get Trae Young (knee) back in the lineup, Ball will return from a three-game absence. However, the 24-year-old will be on a minutes restriction, so his fantasy ceiling will be considerably lower. Although he's still […]

Trae Young on a Minutes Restriction on Thursday

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (knee) will return on Thursday against Charlotte. However, according to head coach Quin Snyder, he'll be on a minutes restriction. The former Sooner missed the last 22 games because of a right MCL sprain, so it's not surprising that he'll see fewer minutes than the 27.8 he averaged before going […]

Tyrese Maxey Off the Injury Report for Friday Night

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) isn't listed on the injury report heading into Friday's matchup with the Knicks. He was having an exceptional year before an illness forced him to miss the last two games, averaging a career-high 31.5 points. Without question, that type of production has put him in the MVP conversation. Maxey […]

Norman Powell Good to Go Against Brooklyn

Miami Heat forward Norman Powell (ankle) is available on Thursday against Brooklyn. The ankle injury isn't anything new. Fortunately, it won't keep him off the floor, which is excellent news, considering Tyler Herro (toe) won't suit up. As a result, Powell, who has averaged a career-high 24.4 points this season, could be in line for […]

Mitchell Robinson Won't Suit Up Against Indiana

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't play on Thursday versus Indiana. He logged 18 minutes in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the San Antonio Spurs, finishing with four points, 15 rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. The 27-year-old is listed as out for injury management purposes, so it appears he may be back […]

Josh Hart Sidelined on Thursday Evening

New York Knicks forward Josh Hart (abdomen) is ruled out heading into Thursday's matchup with the Pacers. The 30-year-old has been starting of late, most recently amassing 11 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the San Antonio Spurs. Fantasy managers will now have to take the wait-and-see approch regarding […]

OG Anunoby Available Against Indiana

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (knee) will play on Thursday against the Pacers. The former Raptor had a fantastic showing in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the Spurs, amassing 28 points and nine rebounds while shooting 5-for-10 from behind the arc. The Knicks won't have Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Josh Hart (abdomen), and Mitchell Robinson […]

Karl-Anthony Towns Out on Thursday Night

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) won't play in Thursday's game in Indiana. KAT, who had a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the San Antonio Spurs, will miss his second contest of the 2025 campaign. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, so there's a chance he may be back on […]

Isaiah Hartenstein Resting on Thursday Night

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (leg) won't play on Thursday versus the Clippers. It's the first of back-to-back contests for the champs, so he'll likely be available for Friday's game in Minnesota. With Jaylin Williams (heel) also out, OKC may need to go smaller than usual, with Kenrich Williams projected to see minutes behind […]

Jalen Suggs Won't Play Against Denver

Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (hip) won't play on Thursday against Denver. The 24-year-old was injured during Saturday's NBA Cup loss to the New York Knicks. As of now, he's considered day-to-day. However, that doesn't mean he's projected to get back on the floor anytime soon, especially considering his injury history. With Franz Wagner (ankle) […]

Anthony Edwards Remains Sidelined on Wednesday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (foot) won't play on Wednesday against Memphis. His next chance to suit up will be on Friday versus the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder. For now, he'll miss his third-straight game due to right foot "injury maintenance." Mike Conley (Achilles) is also out, meaning Bones Hyland remains in line to re-enter […]

Victor Wembanyama Coming off the Bench on Tuesday Night

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama will come off the bench in Tuesday's NBA Cup Final against the Knicks. He recently returned from a 12-game absence for Saturday's win over Oklahoma City. Although he also came off the bench for that one, he still finished with an impressive 22 points, nine boards, two blocks, and […]

Rudy Gobert Not on the Injury Report for Wednesday

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (personal) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. The multi-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year was having himself a fantastic night in Sunday's win over Sacramento. However, he exited after 20 minutes due to "personal reasons," and would finish that one with seven […]

Anthony Edwards on the Injury Report Again for Wednesday Night

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (foot) is considered questionable heading into Wednesday's meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies. He's already missed two-straight games because of what is being called right foot "injury maintenance." However, despite how the issue is labled on the official Injury Report, the chance of another absence certainly doesn't sit well with fantasy […]

Ja Morant Questionable for Wednesday's Meeting With Timberwolves

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (ankle) is questionable ahead of Wednesday's contest versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. He recently missed 10 games because of a right calf strain. However, after returning for the loss to the Utah Jazz on December 12, the 26-year-old tweaked his left ankle late in Monday's win over the the Los Angeles […]

Payton Pritchard Good to Go on Monday

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard (neck) will play on Monday against Detroit. He popped up on the injury report because of neck spasms. Fortunately, the 27-year-old won't miss his first game of the 2025 campaign. Pritchard is having a fantastic season, averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, all career-highs. While he's shot a […]

Robert Williams III Available Against Golden State

Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (illness) will play on Sunday against the Warriors. The 28-year-old will return from a two-game stint on the shelf. He would have been in line to start had Donovan Clingan (leg) been ruled out. However, Clingan is available, so Williams isn't the best fantasy option in any format, […]

Donovan Clingan Back on Sunday Night

Portland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (leg) will return from a three-game stint on the shelf for Sunday's meeting with Golden State. The 21-year-old has averaged a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double this season while amassing 1.4 blocks per contest. His shooting numbers aren't the best (48.2% from the field and 24.1% from deep). However, Clingan has […]

Joel Embiid Cleared for Action on Sunday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will play on Sunday against Atlanta. The 31-year-old is coming off his best game of the 2025 campaign, amassing 39 points and nine boards in Friday's win over Indiana. With Tyrese Maxey (illness) sidelined again, Embiid could be in line for another quality outing versus a Hawks team that […]
