NFL DFS: FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 5 - Top Lineup Plays Include Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Fields, Kyren Williams, Brock Bowers

Kyren Williams - Fantasy Football, Waiver Wire Pickups

Top FanDuel daily fantasy football lineup picks for Week 5 DFS in 2024. Dennis' NFL DFS sleeper picks for building winning NFL DFS lineups on FanDuel in Week 5.

Week 5 began with the Falcons pulling off a win over the Buccaneers in overtime on Thursday evening. Kirk Cousins had a monster showing, ending the night by throwing for 509 yards and four touchdowns, With the win, the birds have a chance good chance of extending their winning streak to three games, when the club meets Carolina in Week 6. As far as Sunday’s festivities are concerned, the Jets and Vikings will get things rolling in London before 11 games close out the day.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 5 daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel and the 2024 NFL season. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

Week 5 FanDuel Quarterbacks - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Joe Burrow – vs. BAL ($7,800)

Burrow last met the Ravens in November 2023. Unfortunately, he suffered a wrist injury during that contest and missed the rest of the 2023-24 campaign.

After a rough start to the season, Burrow will look to lead the Bengals to another win on Sunday. Some aren’t convinced that the 2020 No. 1 overall pick can be trusted to anchor a DFS lineup.

But he’s played well against the Ravens throughout his career, averaging 268 passing yards and nearly two touchdowns. Most will look in another direction for a fantasy quarterback in Week 5.

Still, Burrow has the potential to exceed expectations in what could be one of the highest-scoring games in Week 5.

Justin Fields – vs. DAL ($7,600)

Fields has been starting for the Steelers while Russell Wilson deals with a calf injury. Yet, even when Wilson is ready to return, Fields may have done enough to remain under center, assuming he continues to produce.

The signal-caller has had his share of mistakes during the season. Yet, he’s improved, most recently throwing for 312 yards and accounting for three touchdowns (one passing, two rushing) in a loss to the Colts.

Fields will look to keep the momentum going on Sunday versus a Dallas defense decimated by injuries.

Also Consider: Brock Purdy ($7,700), Trevor Lawrence ($7,000)

Week 5 FanDuel Running Backs - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Kyren Williams – vs. GB ($8,400)

Williams has been spectacular for Los Angeles this season. He’s been heavily involved as a runner and a pass-catcher. The 24-year-old has also found the end zone in each game.

The Rams will continue to operate without Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in the Week 5 affair with the Packers. As a result, the door is open for Williams to have another big day.

Antonio Gibson – vs. MIA ($5,400)

Rhamondre Stevenson has had issues taking care of the ball, resulting in a potential demotion on the horizon. As such, Gibson may make his way to the top of the team’s depth chart, giving him a higher ceiling for Sunday’s AFC East divisional clash with Miami.

It’s difficult to say if Jerod Mayo will actually go through with benching Stevenson. But even if he doesn’t, it’s certainly possible Gibson may see more snaps in Week 5 than in previous contests, making him a high-upside value option against a Dolphins defense that has struggled to stop the run.

Also Consider: Jordan Mason ($8,700), Josh Jacobs ($7,000), Najee Harris ($6,500)

Week 5 FanDuel Wide Receivers - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Ja'Marr Chase – vs. BAL ($9,300)

Chase didn’t do much during the Bengals’ first two games of the season. However, the former LSU Tiger got it together in a loss to Kansas City, compiling 29.8 fantasy points courtesy of a six-catch, 118-yard, two-touchdown outing.

While he didn’t look as good in the win over Carolina, he still found the end zone to bring his total to three on the year. Cincinnati’s offense is returning to form, and with Tee Higgins back to help keep the Ravens defense honest, Chase warrants attention from DFS managers.

Jayden Reed - @ LAR ($7,200)

Reed had an explosive inaugural campaign, finishing with 10 trips to the end zone. The 24-year-old has looked great to begin the 2024-25 campaign, so he’s on pace to at least match that mark from a season ago.

He’s coming off an impressive outing, pulling in seven of his eight targets for 139 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Vikings. Reed can do it all, and he could thrive versus a Rams defense that hasn’t looked too hot on the defensive end.

His stock will rise even higher if Christian Watson can’t suit up because of the high-ankle sprain suffered against Chicago.

Jordan Whittington – vs. GB ($5,400)

With Nacua and Kupp still on the shelf, someone has to catch the ball for the Rams. Most assumed Demarcus Robinson would see the biggest uptick in production.

However, that hasn’t happened. Instead, Whittington has benefited the most. He logged 59 snaps in the Week 4 loss to the Bears, the most in the receiving corps. Whittington also logged a game-high eight targets in that one, finishing with six catches for 62 yards.

With that in mind, DFS managers should keep him on the radar for Sunday’s showdown with the Green Bay Packers.

Also Consider: Nico Collins ($8,800), Deebo Samuel Sr. ($8,000), Michael Pittman Jr. ($6,100), Dontayvion Wicks ($5,900), Jakobi Meyers ($5,800), Tutu Atwell ($5,600)

Week 5 FanDuel Tight Ends - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brock Bowers - @ DEN ($6,300)

The Eagles and Lions have the week off, meaning no Sam LaPorta or Dallas Goedert for fantasy managers. With that said, most of the tight ends around the National Football League haven’t looked good through the first four weeks, and that’s putting it nicely.

However, Bowers has shown flashes of promise. Although the rookie has cooled off in the last two weeks, he’s certainly a safer option than most at the position. With Davante Adams not expected to be on the field for Vegas in Week 5 (or ever again, for that matter) versus the Broncos, Bowers could take over as the team’s primary receiving option.

Also Consider: Jake Ferguson ($6,200)
