BALLER MOVE: Start in all fantasy leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1/Flex
ANALYSIS: The Falcons went through a transition period during the offseason. The franchise brought in Raheem Morris to serve as the new head coach.
Atlanta also selected quarterback Michael Penix Jr. using the No. 8 pick of the 2024 NFL Draft while signing Kirk Cousins. The club still had familiar faces on the roster, with Kyle Pitts beginning his fourth season in the league.
Despite lofty expectations since entering the NFL, the 24-year-old hasn’t been a consistent presence in fantasy lineups. He had only six touchdowns in his first three years in the National Football League, and he also hasn’t hit the 1,000-yard receiving mark since his rookie campaign.
Still with Cousins under center, many believe Pitts will have his best season to date. He began 2024-25 with a decent showing in Week 1 against the Steelers. While he had only three catches, he still found the end zone.

Considering it took Pitts six weeks to score last season, fantasy managers were certainly pleased with his performance versus Pittsburgh. With that in mind, some are asking if Pitts is worthy of a starting spot in fantasy lineups for Week 2 when the Falcons meet the Eagles for Monday Night Football.
Analytics aside, the short answer is yes. Pitts was a top-10 tight end in preseason fantasy rankings, no matter the scoring format. He was also on the field for 96% of Atlanta's offensive snaps in Week 1.
For those reasons alone, it doesn’t matter who the Falcons are playing; Pitts needs to be in all fantasy lineups. If he struggles in subsequent outings with the Chiefs and Saints, then fantasy managers can revisit this topic.
