Joey's seven most improved offenses in the 2025 NFL draft. His top teams likely to post better offensive numbers for the 2025 fantasy football season.
After months of mock drafting your favorite players to your favorite team, the 2025 NFL Draft is officially over. There were some surprises throughout the draft, including quarterback Shedeur Sanders falling to the fifth round and the Jacksonville Jaguars trading up to take wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter with the second overall pick.
With the draft now behind us, now is the perfect time to analyze which teams improved the most on offense during those three days. Although there were a bunch of teams that got better on that side of the ball, there were seven teams that really stuck out.
So, which seven teams improved the most offensively during the 2025 NFL Draft? How much will these draft picks help their new offenses? Let's dive in and find out.

Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers entered the 2025 NFL Draft with a pretty big need on the offensive side of the ball. The team desperately needed a WR1 who could be that go-to target for quarterback Bryce Young in the passing game. It's safe to say that the Panthers found that when they selected Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth overall pick.
Even though Carolina only drafted one offensive player in the first three rounds, that selection definitely makes them one of the more improved offenses after the draft. McMillan was one of the best wide receivers in the class and totaled back-to-back 1,300 receiving yards with the Wildcats. His presence will only help Young take that next step in Year 3.

Outside of McMillan, the Panthers also added running back Trevor Etienne (Round 4), tight end Mitchell Evans (Round 5), and wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. (Round 6) to give them a well-rounded draft. With Dave Canales leading things on offense for the second straight year, don't sleep on McMillan making a huge impact immediately.
Chicago Bears
When the Chicago Bears took tight end Colston Loveland (No. 10 overall) and wide receiver Luther Burden III (No. 39 overall) early in the draft, there were plenty of fans confused by those selections. After all, the Bears didn't necessarily need a tight end or a wide receiver with their first two picks. However, there's no doubt these additions boost that Chicago offense heading into 2025.
Loveland draws comparisons to tight end Sam LaPorta and has the potential to be a Day 1 starter. Given his great hands and above-average route running, he could put up solid numbers in this Bears offense. The same goes for Burden, who is one of the more talented wideouts in this class. It's hard to ignore what he did in his sophomore season at Missouri in 2023, totaling 1,212 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
The additions of both Loveland and Burden complete this Bears offense. Those two will join DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, D'Andre Swift, and Cole Kmet to form a solid receiving group for quarterback Caleb Williams. Chicago also added two offensive linemen (Ozzy Trapilo and Luke Newman) and a running back (Kyle Monangai) on the final two days, making this an improved offense following the draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars only selected three offensive players in the 2025 NFL Draft, and two were running backs (Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen). However, the Jaguars added arguably the best offensive player in the entire draft when they traded up for Hunter early in the first round.
Hunter caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final college season at Colorado and has the skillset to be a Pro Bowler on this side of the ball throughout his career. Given that Jacksonville plans to get him on board as a wide receiver immediately, he should have every opportunity to succeed in this potential pass-friendly offense.

Liam Coen has just taken over as the Jaguars' head coach, coming over following a successful season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their offensive coordinator. With Brian Thomas Jr. and Hunter listed as the top two wide receivers in this offense, there's no doubt this unit improved with that selection. Not many cornerbacks will be able to guard both wideouts, which should help Trevor Lawrence.
Los Angeles Chargers
Even after a successful 2024 campaign, the Los Angeles Chargers' offense still had room to improve. This team needed more firepower on that side of the ball to help them get over the top. Following the 2025 NFL Draft, it is evident that the Chargers have upgraded their offense and should be a better all-around unit this upcoming season.
The Chargers selected running back Omarion Hampton (Round 1), wide receiver Tre Harris (Round 2), wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith (Round 5), and tight end Oronde Gadsden II (Round 5) with four of their first six picks. Of course, the headline here is that both Hampton and Harris are going to Los Angeles in the first two rounds.
Hampton has rushed for 1,500 rushing yards in back-to-back college seasons and will now join Najee Harris in the Chargers' backfield to form an exhilarating one-two punch. Harris is also a sneaky addition to this Los Angeles team after catching 60 passes for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns in his final college season at Ole Miss. Given his high draft capital, he should be a reliable target for Justin Herbert in Year 1.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders had one of the better drafts. A large part of that had to do with the team's ability to upgrade its offense. After trading for quarterback Geno Smith this offseason, the Raiders then proceeded to select running back Ashton Jeanty (Round 1), wide receiver Jack Bech (Round 2), offensive linemen Caleb Rogers and Charles Grant (Round 3), and Dont'e Thornton Jr. (Round 4) early in the draft.
The biggest name in that group is obviously Jeanty. He will immediately make this Las Vegas offense so much better. The Boise State running back is a game-changer, and not many defenses were able to stop him in college. He ran for 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns with the Broncos a season ago. With the Raiders using the sixth overall pick on him, he should see a heavy workload right away.

Outside of Jeanty, Bech was a nice pickup for Las Vegas in the second round. He is coming off a breakout campaign in which he totaled 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. While the TCU product only had one solid year of production, earning the 2025 Senior Bowl MVP award is not given to just anyone. The wide receiver can catch and should start immediately on the outside for the Raiders.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots entered the 2025 NFL Draft with an agenda. That agenda was to help quarterback Drake Maye as much as possible. That certainly turned out to be the case, as the Patriots took an offensive player with each of their first four picks. Those players were tackle Will Campbell (Round 1), running back TreVeyon Henderson (Round 2), wideout Kyle Williams (Round 3), and center Jared Wilson (Round 4).
Both Campbell and Wilson were the top offensive linemen at their respective positions, and both selections will protect Maye in the pocket for the foreseeable future. While Wilson will likely sit behind center, Garrett Bradbury, for a year before eventually taking over, Campbell will immediately be a starter for the Patriots at left tackle.
Not only is protecting Maye super important, but so is supplying him with more weapons. As a result, the Patriots did a fantastic job selecting Henderson and Williams with their first two Day 2 picks. Henderson will be the perfect complement to Rhamondre Stevenson, and Williams has the speed to eventually blossom into a go-to target in this New England offense.
With these four offensive selections in the first three rounds, there's no doubt the Patriots just got a whole lot scarier on offense.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans were awarded with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after finishing with a 3-14 record in 2024. With that selection, the Titans took Miami (FL) quarterback Cam Ward. Ward was coming off a strong college season in which he threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions across 13 games. His arrival immediately upgrades this Tennessee offense.
The Titans rolled with Will Levis and Mason Rudolph under center during the 2024-2025 season, and both quarterbacks really struggled through the air. Levis and Rudolph combined for 22 touchdowns and 21 interceptions for Tennessee last year. As a result, Ward will no doubt be an upgrade for this offense in 2025 and beyond.
The Titans also added a pair of wide receivers (Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor), a tight end (Gunnar Helm), a guard (Jackson Slater), and a running back (Kalel Mullings) all on Day 3. While we don't know if any of these Day 3 picks will work out, selecting Ward with the first overall pick instantly makes this offense much better following the draft.
