Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Kendrick Bourne, WR, 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne saw his utilization surge in the absence of Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) during Week 5. Bourne was tied with tight end Jake Tonges for 11 targets and led the team with 10 receptions and 142 receiving yards.
On Monday, Pearsall was not seen at the team's first practice of the week. Jennings was reportedly suited up and carrying his helmet. Their availability for the 49ers' Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers will become clearer after the team's first official practice and injury report on Wednesday. Following his explosive performance last Thursday and with his teammates' status murky, Bourne will likely be a popular waiver wire add going into Week 6.
Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker hauled in four catches for 62 yards on six targets in his team's Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The 24-year-old now has 19 catches for 286 yards and four touchdowns through his first five games of 2025. Tucker's production is mostly buoyed by a 145-yard, three-touchdown game in Week 3.
Still, he's not a bad option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues to have on their bench, particularly with Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) currently battling a knee injury and uncertain to play in Week 6. Tucker should be rostered in all leagues with 12 or more teams and profiles as a boom/bust WR4/flex option in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans.
DK Metcalf, WR, Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf delivered his best showing of the season in Week 4 with five receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. Although nearly all of his production came in the first half, it was encouraging to see the seventh-year pro featured early and often after a slow start to the campaign. Coming out of a Week 5 bye, Metcalf will get his first taste of an AFC North rivalry with the Cleveland Browns on tap for Week 6.
While Cleveland has been strong defensively this season, it has still allowed five wideouts to finish as top-24 fantasy options in as many games. Fantasy managers may have safer choices this week, but Metcalf remains firmly in the WR2 mix.
Ladd McConkey, WR, Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey finally reached the end zone in Week 5, catching five of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the team's 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders. It was a much-needed bounce-back after last week's poor performance, demonstrating that he can be trusted again in short-yardage and red-zone situations.
With rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) placed on IR, the Chargers might need to rely more on their receivers, and McConkey's dependable hands could earn him more targets against a vulnerable Miami Dolphins secondary in Week 6. He remains a risky start with contingent upside.
