Frank Ammirante's five fantasy football bold predictions for Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season. Expert predictions for Jordan Love, Jakobi Meyers, Chris Godwin, Josh Downs, and Darren Waller.
It's time for the final week of the regular season. Whether you're fighting for a bye and trying to grab that last playoff spot, it's an important time of year.
That's where my Week 14 bold predictions come in. I'm looking for players on the fringe, those who are debatable whether you're starting them or not. The goal is to nail down a spike week to put your team over the top, helping you to win your Week 14 matchup. Last week was disappointing, as Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty, Justin Jefferson, and Stefon Diggs let me down, although Courtland Sutton was a hit.
Let's try to get back on track this time around. Find out why I'm high on Jordan Love, Jakobi Meyers, Chris Godwin, Josh Downs, and Darren Waller in my Week 14 bold predictions.

Jordan Love Finishes as a Top-6 QB
Jordan Love is coming off a huge game against the Lions, where he threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns, finishing as QB2 on the week. That was against a defense that plays man coverage at a high rate. Guess what? He's set to face another man-heavy defense in We

It's a huge game against the Bears in a matchup that has major implications for who wins the NFC North. We've seen the Bears struggle on defense at times this year, ranking 29th in fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks.
The Packers have a 25.5-point implied total this week, which is tied for sixth-highest on the slate. There's a good chance that Love can build off last week's performance, especially if the Bears can slow down Josh Jacobs, forcing the Packers to air it out more. The Bears limited Saquon Barkley to only 56 rushing yards last week, so there's hope in that regard.
If you're dealing with a starter in a tough matchup, like Patrick Mahomes vs the Texans, it makes sense to take a shot on Love this week. Don't be afraid to sit your studs in favor of another quarterback in a great spot. After all, just look at the ceiling that Love has shown at times this year.
Jakobi Meyers Finishes as a Top-12 WR
Jakobi Meyers is quickly establishing himself as the top target in Jacksonville. The former Raider is coming off a great game against the Titans, where he caught all six of his targets for 90 yards and a touchdown. Meyers has now found the end zone in back-to-back games.
You have to love the matchup against the Colts this week, as they rank 25th in fantasy points per game allowed to wideouts this season.
I'm not too concerned that Brian Thomas Jr. is back in the lineup because it's clear that Trevor Lawrence hasn't established a rapport with him. There's a reason why the Jags made a move for Meyers at the deadline, and it's not only due to Travis Hunter's absence.
Meyers has always been one of the most underrated wideouts in the NFL, so it's not too surprising to see him fit in like a glove in Liam Coen's offense.
Since his first game with Jags (Week 10), here's how Jakobi Meyers has produced:
85.7% catch rate (2nd)
2.75 yards per route run (3rd)
61.9% first down + touchdown rate per target (1st)
85.7% +EPA reception per target (1st, by a lot)Perhaps the best deadline acquisition

Considering these circumstances, I'm making sure to get Meyers into my lineup wherever I have him. I'll boldly call that he finishes as a top-12 wide receiver this week.
Chris Godwin Finishes as a Top-20 WR
Chris Godwin is starting to look healthy again, fresh off a breakout game against the Cardinals, where he hauled in 3-of-5 targets for 78 yards.
Chris Godwin could be shaping up as a late-season upside WR3.
Caught 3-of-5 targets for 78 yards last week. Could have been an even bigger day, as he dropped a touchdown.

If Godwin didn't drop that touchdown, he'd likely be a headliner of several start-and-sit columns for Week 14.
It's a great spot at home against the Saints, as the Buccaneers have a 25.5-point implied total, which is tied for sixth-highest on the slate. The Saints are allowing 8.21 yards per target to wideouts this season, which ranks 26th in the NFL.
I'm betting that the Bucs will cruise to victory in this matchup, with Baker Mayfield finding Godwin early and often to get the veteran in a rhythm after so much time off.
I'm starting Godwin wherever I have him, as they're legitimate WR2 upside in this spot. If Mike Evans is ready to return to action, that could open up more room for Godwin as well.
Josh Downs Finishes as a Top-30 WR
Josh Downs seems to be hyped up every offseason, only to fall short of expectations because he's been typecast as a WR3 who needs to come off the field in 2-WR sets.
While the production hasn't been there, you have to like that he's racked up six or more targets in three of his last four games. This includes 44 yards against an elite Texans defense last week, highlighted by an impressive 34-yard reception.
Up next is a huge game against the Jaguars, one that the Colts need to win to stay in the race for the AFC South race, which is crazy to say after they started the year by winning seven of their first eight games.
The Jaguars rank 20th in fantasy points per game allowed to wideouts, so it's a good matchup for Downs.
If you're in a deeper league and need a WR3 with some upside, there's a reasonable chance that Downs can crack the top-30 in this spot.
Darren Waller Finishes as a Top-5 TE
Darren Waller has been a high-end producer whenever he's been able to be on the field for the Dolphins this year. The veteran has found the end one four times in four games, including twice against the Jets. Well, guess what? Waller is facing the Jets once again in Week 14.
Bet on Tua Tagovailoa peppering Waller with targets, as he's become a prominent piece of their passing game, to go along with Jaylen Waddle and De'Von Achane.
The Dolphins have quietly turned their season around, so this is a game that I expect them to control, resulting in more trips to the red zone and more opportunities for Waller to score a touchdown yet again.
Waller ranks as TE10 in points per game, featuring two 30+ yard grabs in his four games of action. This is a big-play threat with touchdown equity. You're going to want him in your lineup this week.
