Quarterback Sleepers To Buy In Superflex Dynasty Fantasy Football

Anthony Richardson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Which quarterbacks should managers buy in Superflex dynasty fantasy football leagues? Joey Pollizze looks at four quarterbacks who you should be buying in the 2025 offseason in dynasty.

Quarterbacks are the most important position in Superflex dynasty fantasy football leagues. Given that fantasy managers can start two quarterbacks a week in their lineups, superstars like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts are some of the most valuable fantasy options.

As a result, it's almost unlikely that a team in your league will trade any of those quarterbacks. That means it might make more sense to trade for a quarterback who is easier to acquire.

So, here are four quarterbacks fantasy managers should be buying in Superflex dynasty leagues this offseason. All four of these quarterbacks should be available in your league.

Editor's Note: RotoBaller’s Dynasty content delivers year-round dynasty fantasy football rankings, trade advice, rookie analysis, and player outlooks. Build a title-winning roster with sleepers, stash targets, and our full dynasty fantasy football guide.

QB J.J. McCarthy

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy's rookie season was cut short after he tore his meniscus in the team's preseason opener back in August. However, he is someone dynasty managers should be looking to acquire this offseason. He is in a great situation with an elite offensive-minded coach and a solid wide receiver group led by Justin Jefferson

Now, no one knows what the Vikings quarterback room will look like in the coming months. Will Minnesota re-sign Sam Darnold? Will the team add a veteran to compete with McCarthy for the starting job? Either way, though, it appears the former Michigan star will have every opportunity to win the starting job out of training camp.

He looked solid in his only preseason game this past year and is the team's franchise quarterback. Given what Kevin O'Connell did with Darnold during the 2024 season, McCarthy could be a solid fantasy option right away. Darnold finished as the QB9 this past year while throwing for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Therefore, McCarthy could be an underrated pickup for your dynasty team in the coming months. He likely won't cost a ton to acquire and has the upside to be a strong dynasty asset for years to come. He also just turned 22 years old back in January.

QB Dak Prescott

If you are looking for a more experienced quarterback to acquire in Superflex dynasty leagues, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could be a nice fantasy target. His value is certainly down following a rough 2024 season and the departure of head coach Mike McCarthy. He has also missed significant time with injuries in two of the past three seasons.

However, Prescott could return to being a strong QB1 option this upcoming season. New head coach Brian Schottenheimer has worked with the Cowboys quarterback for the past three years, and he plans to implement more motions in his offense in 2025. That should make things easier for the veteran this upcoming season.

On top of that, Prescott has always been a solid fantasy quarterback when healthy. He has finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in five of the six seasons in which he has played at least 16 games. The 31-year-old also just had one of his strongest fantasy campaigns during the 2023 season, when he finished as the QB3 and threw for a career-high 4,516 yards.

So, Prescott is a sneaky pickup for dynasty managers in Superflex formats this offseason. He might be on the older side, but he still has plenty of solid years left in him. The Cowboys will also likely upgrade their wide receiver room this offseason and could take a wide receiver in one of the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

QB Anthony Richardson

There aren't many dynasty owners looking to trade for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson right now. After playing in just four games in his rookie season, Richardson had a very inconsistent sophomore campaign. He missed four games due to injury and was benched for two games during the year amid his struggles.

As a result, it might be rather easy to trade for Richardson this offseason. He finished as the QB25 this past year, and his 15.9 fantasy point average ranked 18th among all quarterbacks. Nevertheless, the Colts quarterback is an underrated pickup for dynasty managers in Superflex formats.

Although Richardson had a very up-and-down season, he was a much more consistent fantasy option once he regained the starting job following his benching. The 22-year-old averaged 20.4 fantasy points in his last five games of the year and scored above 21 fantasy points in three of those five contests.

Now, Richardson will be working with quarterback coach Chris Hess this offseason -- the same coach who helped Josh Allen take that leap in Year 3. Hess was a big help in developing Allen and fixing his throwing mechanics in the offseason. So, there's a possibility that we see Richardson put it all together at some point in his career. Given his rushing upside as well, he's worth taking a chance on in dynasty leagues.

QB Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. took over as the team's starting quarterback later in the year and showed some great things in his three starts. His best game came in Week 18 against the Panthers, when he threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for a touchdown on the ground.

It was great to see Penix get some game action in his rookie season. He'll now certainly be given the keys to this Falcons offense in 2025 and beyond. That makes him a solid pickup for most dynasty managers in Superflex formats. The gunslinging lefty is turning just 25 years old in May and has a solid supporting cast in the passing game.

Penix might be the hardest quarterback to acquire on this list. He has the highest KeepTradeCut value among the other three quarterbacks above (QB16) and is one of the younger quarterback options in the NFL. Still, his QB16 value in Superflex formats makes him one of the more underrated options to pick up this offseason because of his potential fantasy upside in this Atlanta offense.
