Diamondbacks Set to Promote Jordan Lawlar
Jordan Lawlar. Lawlar was drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft and is currently ranked as the No. 11 prospect in the sport on MLB.com. Lawlar has been given two brief tastes of the majors (in 2023 and 2025) but has struggled during his first looks. Through 22 games in Arizona, Lawlar has posted a low .080/.179/.080 line with just four hits (all singles) and a 20:5 K:BB. However, the infielder has been one of the most impressive hitters at the Triple-A level this season. In 63 games with the Reno Aces, Lawlar has posted an elite .313/.403/.564 line with 11 home runs, 20 stolen bases. With the Diamondbacks out of the playoff picture, Lawlar will likely be given a longer leash in the starting nine. Given his ability to hit for power and showcase immense speed upside, he is worth a look in all standard formats.
