Brendson Ribeiro suffered a first-round submission loss to Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev on the main card of UFC Vegas 115 on Saturday. Ribeiro tried to land a head kick in the first round, but Yakhyaev caught it and took Ribeiro down. The 29-year-old Ribeiro then tried to stand up, but Yakhyaev dragged him down to the mat, and after landing a few punches on the ground, Yakhyaev sank in the rear-naked choke, forcing Ribeiro to tap out. In 2:52 of action, Ribeiro landed eight significant strikes. This is Ribeiro's third consecutive loss, and he is now 2-5 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic
