Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 6/1/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome Back, RotoBallers! We have an action-packed 11-game Sunday slate (10-game on the main FanDuel Slate, excluding the Cardinals and Rangers early game). On the pitching side, we have several high-end pitchers taking the mound, so it will be crucial to identify the right ones to target. On the hitting side, the New York Mets will look to stay hot in the batter's box and complete the sweep against the Colorado Rockies.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/1/2025. I'll focus my picks on the main slate starting at 1:05 P.M. EDT on both sites. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Hunter Brown - HOU vs. TB ($11K DK; $10.9K FD)
After allowing five runs on May 21, Brown bounced back in a big way, tossing six innings of one-run ball with eight punchouts against the Athletics. While his blow-up start came against these same Rays, expect a bounce-back this afternoon.
Brown has posted an elite 10.5 K/9 and should be in a prime position to rack up strikeouts facing a Rays offense that has posted the fifth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.

Clay Holmes - NYM vs. COL ($9.3K DK; $9.6K FD)
Clay Holmes will be a popular play on this slate given his elite matchup. This afternoon, he will take on the Colorado Rockies. Through the opening two months of the season, the Rockies have posted the highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching.
While Holmes has struggled to produce consistently in the strikeout department, he should be in a prime position to return to form this afternoon. Over his last two starts, Holmes tossed 11 2/3 innings to the tune of a 2.31 ERA with eight punchouts.
Gavin Williams - CLE vs. LAA ($7.5K DK; $8.4K FD)
My final pitcher to consider is Gavin Williams of the Cleveland Guardians. Williams has flashed elite upside at times this season, and given this matchup, he is worth targeting. He will face the Los Angeles Angels, who have posted the third-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. In addition, the Angels have the fourth-lowest wRC+ against right-handers.
Williams has tallied at least six punchouts in 11 of his total starts and reached the eight-strikeout mark thrice. If you are looking for a budget SP with upside, target Williams.
Also Consider: Kris Bubic - KC vs. DET ($9.6K DK; $10.2K FD), Kevin Gausman - TOR vs. ATH ($9.1K DK; $9.4K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Jose Ramirez, 3B - CLE vs. Jack Kochanowicz ($5.8K DK; $3.8K FD)
Jack Kochanowicz relies primarily on two pitches, his sinker and his slider, both of which third baseman Jose Ramirez should find success against. When facing sinkers from righties, he has generated an elite .350 ISO. When facing sliders, which have generated a high .406 xwOBA, Ramirez has posted an impressive .506 xSLG.
Ramirez enters Sunday swinging a hot bat as he went deep during Saturday's contest. Over his last 11 games, Ramirez has only gone hitless once and posted seven multi-hit games.

Miguel Vargas, (1B/3B on DraftKings) (1B/3B/OF on FanDuel) - CWS at Charlie Morton ($3.2K DK; $3K FD)
Miguel Vargas has been one of the hottest hitters in May. Since May 13, Vargas has posted an impressive .308/.343/.692 slash line with seven doubles and six home runs.
He will face Baltimore right-hander Charlie Morton, who carries a fastball that has generated a .488 xSLG. When facing fastballs from righties, Vargas has posted an elite .425 xwOBA with a .586 xSLG.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B - TOR vs. JP Sears ($5K DK; $3.4K FD)
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. continued his dominant May by extending his on-base streak to 31 games during their victory on Saturday afternoon. During this stretch, Guerrero has hit six home runs and held a 19:22 K:BB.
This afternoon, he will face Athletics southpaw JP Sears, who leans on his fastball (40.1% usage). When facing four-seamers from lefties, Guerrero has posted an incredible .868 xSLG and .566 xwOBA, which are both the highest marks on the team. He is a must-play today.
Also Consider: Brett Baty - 2B/3B ($2.9K DK; $2.7K FD), Francisco Lindor - SS ($5.6K DK; $4K FD), Addison Barger - (3B on DraftKings)(3B/OF on FanDuel) ($2.8K DK; $2.7K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Brandon Nimmo, OF - NYM vs. Carson Palmquist ($3.5K DK; $2.8K FD)
While Soto would be an elite choice here, I'd rather save some salary and go with Brandon Nimmo. Nimmo has snapped out of his slump at the right time. From May 17 through May 25, Nimmo did not tally a hit across 16 at-bats. However, over his last five games, Nimmo has tallied at least one hit in each game and posted three multi-hit contests.
This afternoon, he will face Colorado southpaw Carson Palmquist, who has struggled during his first three starts of the season. When facing fastballs from lefties (Palmquest's second-most-used pitch), Nimmo has generated a .799 xSLG, which is the highest mark on the team.

— SNY (@SNYtv) May 31, 2025
Update - Nimmo is not in the starting lineup. Soto is a strong pivot option in the Mets' lineup. Starling Marte would be a viable budget option
George Springer, OF - TOR vs. JP Sears ($4.3K DK; $3.2K FD)
George Springer is another Blue Jay to consider adding to your starting lineup. Springer launched two home runs during Saturday's victory and appears to be heating up at the plate.
Over his last five games, he has hit three home runs and added a double. When facing fastballs from lefties, Springer has generated an impressive .729 xSLG, which is the second-highest mark on the team, only trailing Guerrero.
Wilyer Abreu, OF - BOS at Bryce Elder ($4.4K DK; $3.3K FD)
My final outfielder to target is Wilyer Abreu. This afternoon, Abreu will face Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder, who enters this game holding a 4.63 xERA and a .279 xBA, which place him in the 23rd and 16th percentiles among qualified pitchers. Elder's primary fastball pitch is his sinker. His sinker has not been effective this season, posting a .552 SLG with a .370 wOBA.
When facing sinkers from righties, Abreu has generated a .476 xSLG, the second-highest on the team, only behind Jarren Duran.
Also Consider: Juan Soto - OF ($5.4K DK; $3.8K FD), Jarren Duran - OF ($5.1K DK; $3.7K FD), Mike Tauchman - OF ($3.1K DK; $2.9K FD)
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
New York Mets vs. Carson Palmquist (COL)
Through his first three MLB starts, Palmquist has posted an 8.78 ERA with a 2.03 WHIP. Across these 13 1/3 frames, Palmquist struck out just six batters and generated a low 34.6% ground-ball rate with a high 9.6% barrel rate.
He relies on two pitches, his sweeper and fastball (33.1% %, 31.9% usage). His fastball has not found much success as it has generated a .611 xSLG and a .471 xwOBA. After scoring eight runs on Saturday, bet confidently on the Mets enjoying another offensive explosion.
Top Stack: Nimmo, Soto, Baty, Lindor
Toronto Blue Jays vs. JP Sears (ATH)
The Toronto Blue Jays were in close consideration to be my top stack, but fell short of the Mets. After scoring eight runs on Saturday, expect the Blue Jays to stay hot in the batter's box in the series finale.
In this game, they will face Sears, who sits in the 31st and 34th percentiles in xERA and xBA, respectively. He has struck out batters at a low 17.5% rate and generated groundballs at a 33.9% rate (13th percentile). His primary pitch, his fastball, has posted a hefty .670 xSLG.
Top Stack: Guerrero, Bichette, Springer, Barger
Cleveland Guardians vs. Jack Kochanowicz (LAA)
Kochanowicz enters this contest holding a 5.07 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP. Across his 60 1/3 innings of work, the right-hander has struck out 40 batters and allowed walks at a high 11.0% rate. He currently sits in the 25th and 29th percentiles in xERA and xBA.
His primary pitch, his sinker, has generated a modest .402 xSLG and a .346 xwOBA. His slider (third-most used pitch) has not found much success, generating a hefty .521 xSLG with a 15.4% put-away rate.
Top Stack: Ramirez, Schneemann, Jones, Kwan
