Recent Update

7 days agoThe Washington Nationals got home runs from outfielder Juan Soto (his third of the year), second baseman Howie Kendrick (third), first baseman Matt Adams (second) and catcher Kurt Suzuki (second) in their 9-6 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. Kendrick, Adams, and Suzuki are likely available on the wire in standard fantasy leagues. Adams still doesn't play enough to be intriguing, but Kendrick has been hot and gaining playing time at the expense of Brian Dozier, while Suzuki has gotten seven starts in 16 games. Suzuki is worth a pickup in two-catcher leagues for his pop when he does play. Put Kendrick on your watch list for now.--Nate Green - RotoBaller

  • @MarkZuckerman: Well, the Nationals have loaded the bases with 1 out in the 9th and Soto at the plate. Still down 6 runs.
  • @MarkZuckerman: Left-center field is huge here, but that wasn't an ideal route by Soto, allowing Story to stretch that hit into a triple.

  • @MarkZuckerman: Yikes, Soto down after fouling a ball off the top of his right foot.
  • @MarkZuckerman: Soto gets a 3-2 curveball right down the pipe ... and whiffs, stranding Robles at second base.
  • @MarkZuckerman: Soto looking more like himself the last few days, has hit opposite-field singles in each of last two ABs.
