MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (4/27/25)

Tarik Skubal - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

CeeGee's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 4/27/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Sunday’s MLB DFS main slate, a seven-game sprint kicking off at 1:35 PM ET. We’ve got a compact but juicy slate with plenty of pitching firepower and some hitter-friendly matchups to exploit.

Tarik Skubal and Max Fried headline headline the pitching options, while bats like Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Mike Trout are primed for big days. Weather looks mostly clear across the board, though keep an eye on Kansas City and St. Louis, where there’s a slight chance of rain.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/27/2025. The main slate locks at 1:35pm. EDT. The lineup picks will feature elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Tarik Skubal - DET - $10.5K DK / $9.7K FD

Skubal is the slate’s undisputed ace, and his matchup against the Orioles is a dream. Baltimore’s .222 wOBA against lefties is one of the weakest marks in the slate, and their 25.4 percent K-rate plays right into Skubal’s elite 30 percent K-rate and five percent BB-rate against right-handed hitters. His 2.45 ERA and 2.93 SIERA validate his dominance, and his recent form (e.g., nine Ks in seven IP vs. Milwaukee on 4/14) shows he’s locked in.

Comerica Park’s massive outfield suppresses power, reducing the risk of cheap homers. On FanDuel, where you pick one pitcher, Skubal’s 6.5 projected Ks and high floor make him the no-brainer as he's only the fourth-highest priced SP. On DraftKings, where he's the highest priced SP, his price demands a value arm to pair with, but his 21.53 DK points projection justifies the cost for both cash games and GPPs.

Max Fried - NYY - $9.5K DK / $10.3K FD

Fried’s groundball-heavy profile (57 percent GB-rate) is tailor-made for Yankee Stadium, and he faces a Toronto lineup with a pedestrian .283 wOBA and low ISO against lefties so far this year. His 23% K-rate and 8% BB-rate provide a stable floor, while his 2.97 ERA and 3.59 SIERA allow him to limit damage. The Blue Jays’ top bats like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Anthony Santander have power but lack consistency vs. lefties, and Fried’s ability to induce weak contact (17.1% FB-rate vs. RHB) keeps him safe.

His recent outings (e.g., 11 Ks in seven IP vs. Tigers on 4/9) show GPP-winning upside. The -190 moneyline and 5.0 implied team total for the Yankees make Fried a top option today on both platforms. On DraftKings, he’s a great pivot from Skubal to fit premium bats, while on FanDuel, he's the second-highest priced SP behind Hunter Brown, so I use him in GPP only on FanDuel.

Hunter Brown - HOU - $9.3K DK / $10.5K FD

Brown’s 2025 breakout (3.13 ERA, 26 percent K-rate) has turned him into a DFS darling, and he gets a favorable matchup against a Royals lineup with a .270 wOBA and 18.7 percent K-rate vs. righties. Kansas City’s offense leans on Bobby Witt Jr., but secondary bats like Jonathan India and Maikel Garcia are prone to whiffs, feeding Brown’s swing-and-miss stuff (e.g., nine Ks in seven IP vs. Toronto on 4/21).

His 50 percent GB-rate and Kauffman Stadium’s pitcher-friendly dimensions (low HR factor) cap the Royals’ power threat. Brown’s 3.61 SIERA and 2.51 xERA highlight his consistency, making him a GPP pivot on DraftKings, where his price undercuts Skubal and Fried. As the highest-priced SP on FanDuel, his $10,500 tag is steep, but that may offer leverage in tournaments as people may not be willing to pay up.

Joe Ryan - MIN - $8.5K DK / $9.5K FD

Ryan is in a sneaky good spot today against an Angels lineup that strikes out at a 24.2 percent clip vs. righties. His 27 percent K-rate and elite four percent BB-rate give him a high floor, and his 3.67 ERA is backed by a 3.24 SIERA, showing he’s better than his surface stats. The Angels’ big bats, Mike Trout (24.1 percent K-rate) and Jorge Soler (26.2 percent K-rate), carry power but whiff often, boosting Ryan’s 7.1 projected Ks.

Target Field’s pitcher-friendly setup helps, and Ryan’s recent form (e.g., 8 Ks in 5 IP vs. Mets on 4/14) confirms his upside.

Also Consider: Kevin Gausman (TOR, $9K FD / $8.3K DK) - Gausman’s 23 percent K-rate vs. righties and the Yankees’ 24% K-rate vs. RHP make him a live GPP option. His recent inconsistency (e.g., Zero Ks in 5.1 IP vs. Mets on 4/4) keeps him out of cash games, but his 16.92 DK points projection and upside (10 Ks vs. Red Sox on 4/9) make him a tournament dart. Yankee Stadium’s hitter-friendly park factors are a concern, but his 3.73 ERA and 4.17 SIERA suggest he can navigate the matchup.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Francisco Lindor - NYM - SS ($5.2K DK; $3.7K FD)

Lindor’s switch-hitting prowess shines against Mitchell Parker, who allows a .288 wOBA to righties. Lindor’s .376 xwOBA vs. lefties and 15.1 percent K-rate make him a consistent producer, especially at Nationals Park, where the 8.5 game total hints at offense today. His leadoff spot maximizes plate appearances, making him a cash game anchor on FanDuel (where his price is a steal) and a strong DraftKings play.

Bobby Witt Jr. - KC - SS ($6K DK; $3.7K FD)

Witt’s elite .405 xwOBA and 15.7 percent K-rate against righties make him a premium play against Hunter Brown. While Brown’s tough, Witt’s stolen base potential and power (.258 ISO) give him a high ceiling. Kauffman’s 7.5 game total is modest, but Witt’s batting second ensures volume. He’s a GPP stud on both sites, especially on FanDuel for his price.

William Contreras - MIL - C/1B ($4.3K DK; $3.1K FD)

Contreras is a no-brainer against Erick Fedde, who allows a .327 xwOBA to righties. Contreras’ .361 xwOBA and 18.7 percent K-rate vs. RHP, combined with his cleanup role, make him a reliable cash game option. Busch Stadium’s neutral park factors don’t hurt, and his FanDuel price is absurdly low for a catcher with his upside.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - TOR - 1B ($5.1K DK; $2.9K FD)

Guerrero’s .381 xwOBA and 11.9 percent K-rate vs. lefties make him a great fit against Fried. While Fried is tough, Guerrero’s ability to spray line drives (38% HC-rate) and Yankee Stadium’s short porch boost his power potential. He’s a cash game play on FanDuel (underpriced) and a solid DraftKings option for his floor.

Also Consider: Jose Ramirez - CLE - 3B ($5.6K DK; $3.8K FD) and CJ Abrams - WAS - SS ($5.3K DK; $3.4K FD) - Ramirez offers power/speed upside vs. Brayan Bello, while Abrams’ leadoff role and .341 xwOBA vs. RHP make him a solid value option today.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Judge - NYY - OF ($6.5K DK; $4.6K FD)

Judge is a slate-breaker against Gausman, who allows a .294 wOBA to righties. Judge’s monstrous .477 xwOBA and .341 ISO vs. RHP, paired with Yankee Stadium’s hitter-friendly confines, give him unmatched upside. His 24 percent K-rate is manageable, and batting second ensures at-bats. He’s pretty much always a GPP option on both sites.

Mike Trout - LAA - OF ($5.4K DK; $3.6K FD)

Trout’s .429 xwOBA and .364 ISO vs. righties make him a prime target against Ryan. While Ryan’s strikeout stuff is legit, Trout’s power and Target Field’s neutral park factors keep him in play. His 24.1 percent K-rate is a slight concern, but his FanDuel price is a bargain for his ceiling. He’s a GPP play with cash game viability.

Christian Yelich - MIL - OF ($4.8K DK; $3.6K FD)

Yelich thrives against Fedde’s .327 xwOBA to lefties. His .394 xwOBA and 13.9 percent BB-rate vs. RHP, plus a low 19.1 percent K-rate, give him a high floor. Batting third in a potent Brewers lineup, Yelich is a cash game lock on FanDuel and a strong DraftKings stack piece for GPPs.

Kerry Carpenter - DET - OF ($4K DK; $3.1K FD)

Carpenter’s .398 xwOBA and .306 ISO vs. righties make him a value gem against Dean Kremer, who allows a .340 xwOBA to lefties. Comerica Park isn’t ideal, but Carpenter’s leadoff role boosts his floor. He’s a cash game play on FanDuel and a GPP stack option on DraftKings.

Also Consider: Juan Soto - NYM - OF ($5.6K DK; $3.6K FD) and Riley Greene - DET - OF ($4.1K DK; $3K FD) - Soto’s elite .454 xwOBA vs. LHP makes him a Mets stack anchor, while Greene’s .359 xwOBA vs. RHP pairs well with Carpenter.
