When Is Spencer Jones Getting Called Up? Fantasy Baseball Prospect Outlook (Week 19 Update)

Spencer Jones - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

When is Spencer Jones getting called up? Will Jones get promoted in August 2025? Read about this top fantasy baseball prospect outlook heading into Week 19.

New York Yankees outfield prospect Spencer Jones has been one of the most impressive power hitters in the minor leagues this season. He opened the campaign with Double-A but has recently earned a promotion to Triple-A.

Since joining the top ranks of the minor leagues, the slugger has looked even better and is nearing his MLB debut.

Should fantasy managers continue to stash Jones on their bench? When should fantasy managers expect him to get the call? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Spencer Jones Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball

Since joining Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Jones has launched an eye-catching 13 home runs in just 20 games. During this stretch, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the Yankee system has held an impressive .405/.459/.940 line with six doubles and six stolen bases.

While he has only drawn 10 walks and struck out a hefty 25 times, his elite raw power has kept his production quite high.

This past week, Jones was dealing with back spasms for a few days. However, Jones was cleared to rejoin the starting nine on Wednesday evening and only missed four days of action, suggesting this was a minor injury and will not inhibit him from making his MLB debut in the coming weeks.

Spencer Jones Outlook for Fantasy Baseball

Given his elite power production at Triple-A, Jones should remain in the mix to earn the call to the Bronx. With Aaron Judge (elbow) currently on the injured list, the Yankees could look to promote their top outfield prospect to provide the team with a much-needed spark.

Before joining Triple-A, Jones looked just as impressive with Double-A Somerset, holding a .274/.389/.594 slash line with eight doubles, 16 long balls, and an elite .983 OPS.

Fantasy managers looking to boost their power totals down the stretch should consider stashing Jones on their bench. He likely has the highest power upside on your waiver wire. Even though he may need to wait a few more weeks before earning the call, he is worth stashing in deeper leagues in Week 19, due to his immense power upside.
