Brady House, 3B, Washington Nationals
Current Level: Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A)
Availability: 1% rostered
2025 AAA stats: 54 G, .292/.350/.509, 10 HRs, 33 RBI, 38 R, 19 BB, 62 SO
House is on the verge of joining the Nationals as another key young bat that they hope will be part of their core for many years to come. He started the season as the No. 95 prospect in baseball and the No. 3 prospect in the Nationals' system, according to MLB Pipeline. He is having an excellent season at Triple-A and could be ready for his promotion and major league debut in the next few weeks.
The Nationals drafted House No. 11 overall in the 2021 MLB Draft, and the 21-year-old has worked his way up through the layers of the minors over the last few years. Last year, he split time between Double-A and Triple-A, hitting .241 with 19 homers, six stolen bases, and a .316 wOBA. He struggled a little bit to adjust to Triple-A after his midseason promotion.
He had a huge spring training, hitting .364 (8-for-22) with a double before being sent down. He has thrived at Triple-A this year, though, hitting .291 with 10 homers and a .376 wOBA. His strikeout rate is still a little high (26.7%), but his contact rate and batting average have significantly improved this season. His hard-hit rate has increased from 40.5% to 46.9% as well.
Brady House is having a sneaky stellar season at AAA. Five HR month, 10 on the year.

House has a very high ceiling if he can translate his success when the Nationals give him a chance. The Nationals don't have a full-time solution at third base at this point, rotating Jose Tena and Amed Rosario at the position currently, with Paul DeJong (nose) on the injured list. DeJong was brought in as a bridge to House, with Trey Lipscomb in the pipeline as a utility player and potential 3B solution as well.
When he gets called up, though, the 21-year-old has the raw tools to be a great option at the hot corner. His raw power makes up for some of his contact concerns, but his approach and contact rate have taken huge steps forward this season and especially over the last month. If you need help at 3B, stash him now or be ready to pounce on him as soon as he gets promoted.
Colby Thomas, OF, Athletics
Current Level: Las Vegas Aviators (AAA)
Availability: 1% rostered
2025 AAA stats: 52 G, .281/.351/.544, 13 HRs, 44 RBI, 44 R, 2 SBs, 17 BB, 66 SO
Thomas was ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Athletics system earlier this season behind only Nick Kurtz, who has already joined the big league club. Thomas doesn't look very far behind him, although his high strikeout rate definitely leaves room for the 24-year-old to continue to progress.
The A's drafted Thomas in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft, and he continues to slug his way through the minor league levels.

In 2024, he had 31 homers in 132 games between Double-A and Triple-A while hitting .277 with a .391 wOBA and 15 stolen bases. He did struggle with his strikeout rate, though, posting a 30.3% K% in his 73 games in Triple-A.
This year, he continues to hit plenty of bombs but has cut his strikeout rate down to 27.3% on the season and 26.3% over his last 16 games. Since this is still his first full season at Triple-A, and he's only 24, the team may give him some more time to develop before bringing him up. They just promoted Denzel Clarke last week, and are expected to give him a long look in center field.
Thomas will likely join Clarke in the Athletics' outfield at some point this season, possibly even sometime before the All-Star break. If you're in deep, 12-team leagues and need some power, Thomas is a great stash. His batting average and strikeout rate will definitely be issues to watch, but he should help form the core of an exciting young lineup that includes Kurtz, Tyler Soderstrom, and Jacob Wilson for many years to come.
At this point, Thomas isn't a must-add in standard leagues since his arrival is uncertain, but he is a sharp add in deeper redraft formats and dynasty leagues.
Chase DeLauter, OF, Cleveland Guardians
Level: Columbus Clippers (AAA)
Availability: 2% rostered
2025 minor league stats: 14 G, .186/.352/.442, 3 HRs, 5 RBI, 6 R, 1 SB, 11 BB, 11 SO
Another outfield prospect to watch is the Guardians' Chase DeLauter. DeLauter is a 23-year-old left-handed hitter who has lots of upside but has struggled to stay healthy over the last few seasons.
He has always had a very strong plate approach and limited strikeouts, unlike the other two prospects in this post, and he should slot into a premium lineup spot when he arrives in the majors as a result. In three seasons of college baseball, he had more walks (62) than strikeouts (45) and hit .402 with 15 home runs, 70 RBI, and 24 stolen bases.
The Guardians snagged him out of James Madison with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft.
He didn't play for the Guardians for almost a full calendar year after surgery on a broken left foot that ended his college season. He has only played 140 games combined over his three seasons in the minors as a result of foot, toe, and hamstring injuries. He had surgery on a sports hernia in March and just returned to action a few weeks ago.

He is hitting only .186 (8-for-43) in his very small sample size split between Single-A and Triple-A. He'll need to knock off the rust and build up his workload over the next few weeks as he completes his recovery. He is only expected to play three to five times per week over the next few weeks to aid in his recovery.
Durability is definitely a concern for DeLauter long-term, and he is still a ways from making an impact this season. He definitely has a high ceiling when he does arrive, but will likely end up in a platoon since he's still a work-in-progress against lefties, especially.
If he can stay healthy and ramp back up, he could make a late-season impact for the Guardians. When he does arrive in Cleveland, he has good power and speed potential, and he is someone to watch going forward, even though there are better solutions short-term on the waiver wire outside of the deepest of dynasty leagues.
