Week 7 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Kameron Johnson, Christian Watson, Zay Jones in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
Many wide receivers like Kameron Johnson and Zay Jones are experiencing increased production as they step up in the wake of injuries their teammates suffered.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Kameron Johnson scored his first touchdown of his young career. The Arizona Cardinals' Zay Jones, meanwhile, had a season high in a game that went down to the wire against the league-leading Indianapolis Colts. Another receiver who has missed time with injuries, the Green Bay Packers' Christian Watson, meanwhile, is expecting to make his debut soon.
Would Kameron Johnson, Zay Jones, or Christian Watson be good waiver wire additions in Week 7? Let's take a look.

Kameron Johnson and his brother Tez Johnson became the leading Bucs receivers after Emeka Egbuka left last week's game against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring injury. Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (leg) did not suit up.

The Bucs' other receivers didn't make much of an impact. Sterling Shepard only caught two passes for 51 yards, and Ryan Miller was on the field for 25 snaps but didn't get targeted once.
The Buccaneers face the 4-2 Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football this week, and at least one, and possibly all three of the Bucs' regular starting receivers, will miss the game. The meeting of two high-scoring offenses could turn into a shootout.
The Lions' secondary is banged up. Seven of their defensive backs are either on the IR or listed as OUT. Strong safety Brian Branch is missing the game after being suspended for his role in a fight at the end of the Lions' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, in a game in which the Chiefs were able to move the ball through the air at will.
Kameron Johnson's four catches were the first four of his career. He scored at the end of the first half on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield.
Kameron Johnson's lack of collegiate success, while playing for Division II Barton, and his absolute lack of production up until last week do not bode well for his long-term prospects. But for the next week or two, while Egbuka and Godwin might be off the field, he has potential value in deeper leagues.
Christian Watson Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 8% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ team leagues
Christian Watson has made some big plays when he's healthy. Unfortunately, he's often not healthy. In his four-year career, Watson has played in 38 regular season games. That's just 55.8% of the games he could have played.
Christian Watson breakout incoming. Hard to think of a player who’s caught more bad breaks.
He’s the stick of dynamite who can take the Packers offense to a new level. Insane that he’s already back. pic.twitter.com/kWNIkygBB3

During the offseason last year, Watson went to the UW-Madison to have work done on his hamstrings that he hoped would solve his frequent injury issues. It did not.
Watson played in 15 games last year, although he left a couple of them early with injuries, and his production was boom-bust. He had two 100-yard games, but he was held under 20 yards twice.
The injury demon came calling in Week 16, and it didn't leave him alone. After he hurt his knee against the New Orleans Saints, Watson missed Week 17 entirely and then returned to play in the Packers' unnecessary Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears.
That was when everything went wrong. Watson tore his ACL after just 15 snaps and hasn't seen the field since. Watson finally got back to practicing during the first week of October.
With the Packers designating him to return, they have a three week window to activate him, meaning he could be back this week against the Arizona Cardinals or next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was eligible to return this past week against the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Packers are reportedly playing it safe.
When he's on the field, Watson is a strong downfield receiving threat. He had a 95.2 PFF receiving grade on passes of 20 yards or more last season.
However, Watson would not be a reliable weekly starter in 12-team leagues when he returns. The Packers are one of the most run-heavy teams in the league, and, when they do pass, they spread the ball around.
The Packers currently have five players with over 10 catches and none with more than 18. The addition of rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams added target competition from last year's team.
Zay Jones Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 8% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
Fantasy managers might remember Zay Jones from the year 2022 when he caught 82 passes for 823 yards with the Jacksonville Jaguars. That was enough for him to rank as the WR28, making him a WR3-4 for the season.
However, his production dropped off the next year, then he joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2024 where he was buried on the depth chart and only caught eight passes his first year there.
Through his first five weeks of this season, Jones has already outperformed last season in terms of both receptions and yardage. Last week, he had his best game of the season, catching five passes for 79 yards.
Jones benefited both from Marvin Harrison Jr. leaving the game with a concussion in the second quarter and from his chemistry with backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Puka Nacua, Emeka Egbuka & Marvin Harrison Jr are all expected to miss this week
Opens up a good amount of opportunities on their offense, so check waivers for some of these guys

Brissett, who started in place the injured Kyler Murray (foot), targeted Jones on eight of his 44 pass attempts. With the Cardinals and Colts exchanging blows in a back and forth slugfest, Brissett's passing volume was up.
Jones is a potential flex play in 14-team leagues in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers if Harrison is unable to clear concussion protocol. Concussed players often take longer than a week to return.
