Shohei Ohtani to be Back in the Lineup on Friday
Shohei Ohtani (thigh) will be back in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's series opener against the division-rival San Diego Padres at Petco Park. "Shohei's fine. He'll be in there tomorrow," Roberts said. The 31-year-old three-time MVP was pulled from his start on the mound in Wednesday's loss to the Colorado Rockies as a precaution after he suffered a thigh contusion on a comebacker and received his first day off of the season in Thursday's series finale at Coors Field. Ohtani will be back in there for the start of another crucial divisional series this weekend in San Diego, and he should be back in all starting fantasy lineups as well. He currently ranks third in baseball with 44 home runs, behind only Cal Raleigh and Kyle Schwarber. He has a current five-game hitting streak and is batting .385 with six homers in 18 August games.
