Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said there's nothing that running back
Chris Brooks can't do and also expressed confidence in Brooks as the team's RB2 behind
Josh Jacobs with both
Emanuel Wilson and
MarShawn Lloyd out with injuries currently at training camp. Brooks and Wilson stepped up behind Jacobs in 2024 with Lloyd playing in just one game in his rookie season due to injuries. The 25-year-old Brooks handled only 36 rushing attempts for 183 yards and a touchdown, although he averaged over five yards per carry for the second straight season. He added 11 catches for 69 yards on 13 targets in 15 regular-season games (no starts). While it's nice that Green Bay has confidence in Brooks to back up Jacobs if needed, he's not going to be very relevant in fantasy unless both Wilson and Lloyd aren't ready to go for the start of the regular season.

Green Bay Packers rookie first-round wide receiver
Matthew Golden continues to run with the first-team offense in two-receiver sets in training camp practices.
Jayden Reed and
Dontayvion Wicks have been sidelined at camp with minor injuries, but Golden's presence in two-receiver sets is notable nonetheless, especially with
Christian Watson (knee) expected to begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. It's still a crowded receiver room in Green Bay with Reed, Wicks and
Romeo Doubs, but the 22-year-old Golden brings 4.29-second 40-yard dash speed to an offense with a young and ascending quarterback in
Jordan Love at the helm. At the very least in his rookie season, Golden should serve as the team's primary deep threat until Watson returns, making him an intriguing WR4/flex candidate right away.

Green Bay Packers tight end
Tucker Kraft (groin) is back at Tuesday's training camp practice after missing time with a groin injury. Kraft took a step forward in Year 2 in 2024 with 50 catches on 70 targets for 707 yards and seven touchdowns in 17 regular-season games for the Packers. The 24-year-old could have an even bigger role in the passing game in his third NFL season, making him a popular breakout candidate in 2025 at a weak position in fantasy. There are a lot of receivers vying for targets in Green Bay with receiver
Christian Watson (knee) potentially missing half the season, but if Kraft is utilized more downfield, he should be a lock to finish among the top-10 TEs in total fantasy points. There's a lot to like about Kraft's yards-after-the-catch ability, as he produced an average of 9.6 YAC last year, which led all tight ends.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) had knee surgery on Saturday but could still be ready for his Packers debut in Week 1 against the Lions, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. He will miss the preseason, though, after undergoing the procedure to repair a partial meniscus tear. Hobbs played the first four seasons of his career with the Raiders and signed a big four-year deal worth $48 million with the Packers. He missed six games last season and 16 over the last three seasons combined because of ankle injuries, a hand injury, and illness. Injuries were a big part of why the Packers parted ways with star cornerback Jaire Alexander this offseason, and Hobbs is expected to help replace Alexander. While this may not be an injury that impacts his regular-season availability directly, it could be a bad sign if it's the start of a trend.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver
Christian Watson (knee) is on the right track in his recovery from an ACL injury that he suffered in January. Watson is set to begin the season on the active/PUP list, but he reportedly does not look like someone who is in the process of recovering from a significant knee injury. The 2022 second-round pick is one of the most explosive size and speed threats at the receiver position when healthy and adds an element to the Green Bay offense that is missed when he is not on the field. His 21.4 yards per reception last season ranked second in the league among wide receivers. It's a positive sign to see him moving like himself early on, and it makes him an intriguing upside bet to make late in drafts and stash in an Injured Reserve spot.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Green Bay Packers running back
Josh Jacobs looked like the best player on the field at training camp the day he visited, and "his explosion suggests another heavy workload is coming." Jacobs had 301 carries in his first year in Green Bay in 2024 and has averaged 18.6 carries per game since 2022. Fowler doesn't see Jacobs' carries declining, and that could especially be true if
MarShawn Lloyd (groin) cannot stay healthy. The 27-year-old's open-field cuts have looked really sharp this summer. If you decide to wait a little bit on your RB1 in fantasy drafts this year, Jacobs represents a high-floor, low-end RB1 target going into his second season with the Packers. The three-time Pro Bowler had 1,329 rushing yards and a career-best 15 touchdowns on 301 carries last year. He's still the centerpiece of this offense.

Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver
Matthew Golden has looked the part so far in training camp, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Golden's hands (he's not a body-catcher) and his determination to be great have stood out so far, per Fowler. A person with the team pointed out Golden hadn't dropped a pass through the first week-plus of camp and he connected on a 60-yard deep pass earlier in the week. The 22-year-old first-rounder is competing for playing time right away in his first year in the NFL in what is now a crowded receiver room in Green Bay. But with
Christian Watson (knee) likely to miss a good chunk of the 2025 season, Golden should have a key role in the Packers' passing attack this season. Golden's speed should serve him well and at least make him worth a WR4/5 flier later in fantasy drafts this fall.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver
Dontayvion Wicks (calf) was not able to participate during Saturday's practice. It's worth noting that Wicks missed practice time earlier in the week due to a calf issue. It's unclear if Saturday's absence was a planned rest day or if Wicks couldn't participate due to the injury. The absence of Wicks meant more snaps for
Matthew Golden,
Romeo Doubs, and
Malik Heath. Last season, Wicks saw a career-high 76 targets, but finished with 39 receptions for 415 receiving yards with five touchdowns in 17 games. The addition of Golden is going to make it more difficult for Wicks to see consistent snaps in Green Bay. Right now, the focus is getting Wicks back on the field, so fantasy managers should check back later on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver
Jayden Reed worked solely as a slot receiver during Saturday's practice. Instead,
Matthew Golden,
Malik Heath, and
Romeo Doubs saw a majority of the snaps from wideout. Reed only saw 10 snaps during the entire practice, but it's also worth noting he has been dealing with a toe issue. Possibly, the Packers wanted to take the cautious approach here. Reed is most impactful when he is coming out of the slot. His target volume took a step back whenever he'd line up as the No. 1 or No. 2 wideout on the field. This is something to keep an eye on throughout training camp.

Green Bay Packers tight end
Tucker Kraft (groin) sat out of Saturday's practice while dealing with an injury. Head coach Matt LaFleur said they plan to give Kraft a few days to get over his groin injury. It doesn't sound like Kraft is going to miss significant time, so fantasy managers should consider this a day-to-day issue.
Luke Musgrave figures to operate as the No. 1 tight end until Kraft is back. Kraft has been impressive enough that a few missed practices won't hurt his status as the starter in Green Bay. Fantasy managers should check back later in the week for another update on his status.

Green Bay Packers running back
Emanuel Wilson (knee) left practice on Friday. Fortunately, it appears Wilson will be fine, with Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated reporting that there was "no damage" to the knee while adding that the 26-year-old "shouldn't be out long." It's certainly good news, considering
MarShawn Lloyd (groin) hasn't been practicing. Wilson had an improved sophomore year in 2024, amassing 103 carries for 502 yards while totaling five touchdowns. Although
Josh Jacobs is the clear No. 1 option in Green Bay, Wilson has a chance to remain involved as his backup. While that won't make him a viable fantasy option, at least a routinely productive one, he's worth selecting late in fantasy drafts for insurance purposes in case Jacobs goes down with an injury at some point during the season.
