ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange has been a fantasy afterthought since getting drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. However, the former Penn State star got his first start of the year last week against the Cleveland Browns after Evan Engram suffered a hamstring injury during pregame warm-ups.
He had a top-10 finish in Week 2, totaling three receptions on seven targets for 65 receiving yards and eight half-point PPR fantasy points. The second-year tight end will get his second consecutive start Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, with Engram not expected to play.

Strange has an appealing matchup this week, as the Bills have surrendered 8.7 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the eighth-most in the NFL. They have given up at least seven receptions for 42 receiving yards to tight ends in both contests this season.
Fantasy players can start Strange as a low-end TE1 with some upside. He is the perfect last-minute waiver wire addition for those missing Engram or David Njoku this week.
