Trey Benson, Bam Knight, Bhayshul Tuten: Must-Add Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 14 Fantasy?

Trey Benson - Fantasy Football Rankings, RB, NFL Draft Sleepers,

Trey Benson, Bam Knight, Bhayshul Tuten must-add waiver wire pickups for Week 14 fantasy football? Are they breaking out for fantasy football in 2025?

Let's say you're one of the many fantasy football managers who drafted Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton (ankle). Maybe you chose Cardinals RB James Conner (ankle). Perhaps you selected Titans tailback Tony Pollard.

If you chose any of these players, you've probably been hurting at RB for most of the season. The same applies to New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) -- and the position is very scarce. So you're probably looking to the waiver wire to get reinforcements.

Arizona Cardinals running backs Trey Benson (knee) and Bam Knight and Jacksonville Jaguars tailback Bhayshul Tuten are three names you might consider. One is the starter, and is dealing with injury issues, and the other two are backups. But who should you claim or pick up?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Trey Benson Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 71% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All Leagues

Benson has been incredibly frustrating to have on fantasy rosters this season. His one starting gig, in Week 4, ended in injury, and he wasn't able to finish the game. Instead, he hurt his knee and was pulled from the contest, and later ruled out for the subsequent week.

He was placed on injured reserve for that injury. That was before Week 5, and we're now headed into Week 14. He had his practice window opened ahead of Week 12, and logged three limited practices that week. Ahead of Week 13, though, things took a weird turn.

The above tweet summarizes a theory as to Benson's injury issues -- in the Wednesday practice before Week 13, he was clearly still dealing with problems. It appears he's had a setback in his recovery. Cardinals beat reporters didn't say anything about anything like this the week before.

It's hard to know when he'll come back. It's possible he could have just been dealing with some unexpected swelling or soreness. But being downgraded to DNP (Did Not Practice) after a week straight of limited practices isn't a good sign.

He needs to be added in all leagues because he is the Cardinals starting RB. Stash him in your injured reserve spots if you have to. That said... yikes. He might not play again this season. Who knows.

Bam Knight Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 41% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-team leagues

Knight will keep his role as the starting RB for the Cardinals as long as Benson is out, at which point Benson should take over. But Knight has surprisingly been serviceable in recent weeks -- for a waiver wire pickup, he's actually been working out pretty well so far.

He scored 14.5, 13.2, and 16.8 PPR fantasy points in his last three outings -- he's caught 11 total passes and scored three total touchdowns in that stretch. Arizona's offense has been surprisingly competent, at least for fantasy football, with new starting QB Jacoby Brissett leading the charge.

This week, though, the Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Rams. They have one of the league's best run defenses. Interestingly, they lost to the Carolina Panthers in Week 13 and were absolutely decimated on the ground by the duo of RBs Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard.

Still, from a season-long perspective, they've been excellent, so it's a tough matchup. But he's worth adding. Arizona scores in garbage time now, which is more than could be said for them when QB Kyler Murray (foot) was the starter.

Bhayshul Tuten Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 40% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 14-Team Leagues

The dreams of a Tuten league-winning season are dead now. He's failed to claim the starting running back job from RB Travis Etienne Jr., instead playing on sparse downs and salvaging his fantasy days for dynasty managers with a touchdown rush here and there.

It appears that he's the better goal-line back than Etienne, but he's a poor pass-protector. Fellow rookie LeQuint Allen Jr. is a elite pass blocker, and has been handling the passing downs, which has nerfed Tuten's upside, unfortunately.

Tuten hasn't been consistently afforded enough space to run by his team's blockers. He's looked close to a breakout in a few of his games, but a handful of injuries, weird game scripts, and the presence of Etienne and Allen have severely restricted his snaps.

We'll see what happens with this backfield in 2026. I wouldn't be surprised if Jaguars head coach Liam Coen and the team's management are unwilling to give Etienne a new contract. Running backs are mostly easily replaceable in today's NFL.

Tuten is a handcuff for now. He'd have a huge role if Etienne got hurt. Otherwise, he's hardly startable.
