Week 11 Kicker Streamers and Starts – 2021 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

younghoe koo fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Robert Lorge breaks down all 2021 fantasy football Week 11 kickers -- streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. His Week 11 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

Week 11 finally brought us the return of the Kansas City Chiefs' offense and with it a good game for Harrison Butker, who finished with 11 points. However, the No. 1 kicker from Week 11 was Zane Gonzalez of the Panthers. Maybe not coincidentally that lined up with the return of Christian McCaffrey, who at this point could be defined as the Carolina Panthers' offense.

Matt Prater, Justin Tucker and Mason Crosby all struggled this past week. None of these three scored more than five points. In other news though, Greg Joseph and Randy Bullockmy guys –both scored double digits again. These guys have to be in your lineup. They've been magnificent all season. Other guys that have done more than enough to get put into your lineups are Nick Folk and Chris Boswell. I'll be honest, I've been lower on these two guys throughout the season, but Nick Folk especially. While I'm still skeptical of the Steelers' offense, fantasy managers now have 10 weeks worth of data and we need to start trusting what we see.

There's a lot of really good matchups in Week 12 fantasy managers can take advantage of. The Dallas vs Kansas City game should offer plenty of fireworks and both kickers are excellent options. Mason Crosby and Greg Joseph are also set up to come through for fantasy managers in a big way. It'll be important to follow the health of Kyler Murray this week. Matt Prater has been solid this year, but with the injury to Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, the Cardinals' offense has struggled a bit.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 11

Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals

This game has some sneaky shoot-out appeal, and if that comes to pass, fantasy managers will be happy streaming McPherson. He's been a bit hit or miss this season. He has three double-digit games, three games with exactly seven, and three games with five or less (including one goose egg). The implied point total of 49 points showcases some high-point scoring upside in this matchup. The Raiders have allowed 8.4 points per game, which is 17th in the NFL. With the Bengals coming off a bye and the Raiders coming off a bad loss to the Chiefs, both teams should come out ready to play. While the Bengals are on the road, it's not such a bad thing. He'll get to kick inside a dome, which is always an added boost for any kicker.

Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers offense has been quite bad all year, which is one of the biggest barriers that has kept me from fully getting on the Boswell bandwagon. At some point, credit needs to be given where it's earned. He's been in double-digits in five out of nine games. He has another two games of seven points and two of three. The Steelers' offense, which does not even average 20 points per game and is one of the bottom 10 units in the league, does leave Boswell susceptible for some stinkers. Luckily, for Week 12, the Steelers have an excellent matchup. While the Chargers' defense has not been bad, they've struggled to slow down opposing kickers. On the season, they are allowing 10.3 points per game, which is the fourth-highest in the league. Like McPherson, the Steelers are not at home, but the kicking environment is much more friendly in Los Angeles than it is in Pittsburgh. With an implied point total of 48 and going up against an explosive Chargers' offense, Big Ben could end up playing catchup.

Dustin Hopkins, Los Angeles Chargers

I like both of these kickers in this matchup. The Steelers also present a quality matchup for opposing kickers. They've allowed 9.8 points per game, which is seventh-most in the NFL. As already mentioned, the 48 implied point total is appealing to fantasy managers, even if it's not one of the highest games on the docket. While the Chargers boast an excellent offense, they are going up against an excellent defense and it could lean to some drives stalling out. The Chargers lost a one-possession game to the Vikings this past weekend and should come out ready to get a win at home to stay in the divisional race. Since coming over to the Chargers, Hopkins has been solid but unspectacular. He's had two games of seven points and a third of nine. He's been a solid kicker, but I expect him to break out his first double-digit game for Los Angeles this weekend.

Kicker Busts to Avoid for Week 11

Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons' offense continues to take hit after hit after hit. After losing Calvin Ridley to mental health concerns, they now seem poised to have to play without maybe their best offensive player, Cordarrelle Patterson. They are significantly lacking playmakers right now and a Thursday night date with the New England Patriots should have any fantasy manager a little worried. The Patriots have given up 7.8 points per game to opposing kickers. The Patriots' defense is only giving up 17.7 points this season and is one of the best defenses in the league. This is not a spot fantasy managers should be trusting Koo.

Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is nothing but a gut call and a nod to the G.O.A.T. It's very rare for a Tom Brady-led football team to get embarrassed the way they were last week against Washington. The offense looked completely out of sync. The Giants' defense is giving up the eighth-most yards per game in the league and the 15th-most points. Needless to say, it's not a bad matchup for Brady. After such a poor showing last week, I expect this offense to come out guns blazing. Normally that would sound like a good thing for a kicker, but I don't expect many drives that don't end with a touchdown. It's unknown yet at this time if Rob Gronkowski or Antonio Brown will return, but it doesn't matter. The Bucs have more than enough firepower to beat up a Giants' defense with the weapons they have. Look for a big outing from the Bucs, just not one that translates to fantasy success for Succop.

Michael Badgley, Indianapolis Colts

Since taking over for Rodrigo Blankenship, Badgley has been very good for the Colts. He's averaged 8.4 points per game and has been perfect from all over the field. He's most certainly playing his way into weekly consideration among kickers and is definitely on the streamer list. This week just isn't one of those weeks, not against Buffalo. The Bills are allowing just 5.8 points to opposing kickers, which is second-best in the NFL.
