Hunter Renfrow is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 4 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: While other players have gotten the headlines coming from Las Vegas' games so far this season (Darren Waller's 19 targets in W1, Henry Ruggs III waking up for good in W2) the truth is that Hunter Renfrow has been a low-key great performer through these first weeks of play. No fantasy GM seems to be noticing, though, as his 11 percent rostership is way beyond the mark it should be sitting at given Renfrow's production.
Renfrow (14.1) is averaging just 2 FPPG fewer than Waller (16.1) in PPR leagues, has the second-most total PPR points among Raiders' skill-position players, and is already tied for the "lead" in receiving touchdowns in Las Vegas' squad with one in three games. Just this past Sunday, facing Miami, Renfrow top all Raiders in PPR points with an 18.7 tally to the tune of 5 catches on 6 targets for 77 yards and the lone team touchdown of the day. Renfrow has been able to do all of that while playing a rather low 50 percent of all Raiders' snaps, which is pretty much incredible.
There is just no way Renfrow keeps getting so few reps per game. He's a true safety valve for QB Derek Carr, catches virtually every pass thrown his way, and although he doesn't come with the highest of upsides (has yet to reach even 80 receiving yards in any game), the fact that he gets targeted so often makes him a wonderful PPR-format WR3/FLEX on a weekly basis. Renfrow's low usage makes him borderline unstartable in most shallower leagues, but he should be rostered and started in any other/deeper format.
