On Saturday evening, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session to set the starting lineup for this weekend's Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
This is the second-to-last race of the season, as the final four drivers will be locked into the Phoenix Championship finale after this one. We already know that Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe are in.
The qualifying session consisted of just one round, as is the current protocol for many Cup Series races this season.
