Time to Drop Jerry Jeudy? Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Outlook (2025)

Jerry Jeudy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Should I drop Jerry Jeudy for fantasy football Week 4? Is Jerry Jeudy a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.

There's nothing more frustrating in fantasy football than when a player you took to lead your team starts the season slowly. You drafted Jerry Jeudy to be your WR1 or WR2, not to cause weekly headaches. Now we're in Week 4, and he has yet to find the end zone.

Every time it seems like a breakout is coming, the Browns' passing attack brings us back to reality. And the most upsetting part of it is that Jeudy isn't completely off the radar. He's running routes and seeing targets, but unfortunately, there's a lot of punting. The team averages 15 points per contest, so the season hasn't been kind to Jeudy.

Fantasy managers now want to know if they should start him, sit him, or drop him altogether. He still holds value, but is he someone we want to roll with moving forward? Let's break down what to do with Jeudy, whether that means sticking it out or completely cutting ties.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Drop Jerry Jeudy in Fantasy Football?

It hasn't been the start fantasy managers were envisioning for Jeudy when they drafted him. Last week, he hauled in just one of five targets for 17 yards in the Browns' 13-10 victory over Green Bay.

The whole passing game was lackluster, with David Njoku leading the team with 40 receiving yards. It's not just Jeudy falling flat; it's the majority of the offense. Still, we expect the WR1 on a team to be a lock in starting lineups.

Unfortunately, Jeudy is beginning to look more like a benchwarmer than a starter. Through three weeks, he's brought in 10-of-21 targets for 134 yards and no touchdowns.

The Alabama product started the season with back-to-back usable games (66 yards in Week 1, 51 in Week 2), but he wasn't drafted to "just be usable". And Week 3's disappointment shows just how inconsistent this offense can be.

Joe Flacco under center doesn't inspire confidence, and a quarterback change is always lurking in the shadows (Dillon Gabriel or even Shedeur Sanders). A QB shuffle might shift things as the season progresses.

For now, you can't drop Jeudy, but he isn't someone you slot in your WR1 spot. I'm not going to fault you for flexing or benching him until he gets back on track.

Who Should I Pickup for Fantasy Football?

If Jeudy sits on your bench, you'll need to find another receiver to fill the hole. The waiver does offer plenty of names this week, including Elic Ayomanor. The rookie has put together two straight double-digit PPR games (15.6 and 13.8), hitting paydirt in both.

Ayomanor isn't the flashiest option (despite me accidentally writing "Epic" as I typed his name), but he has been consistent enough to earn fantasy attention. He makes for a solid depth piece, if you can afford the roster spot.

Another sneaky choice to pick up is KaVontae Turpin, known for being a return man. He's carving out more of a role within the offense, as displayed in Week 3. In that contest, he snagged two long receptions (27 and 37 yards) while also contributing return yardage.

CeeDee Lamb was sidelined by a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss time. Turpin's big-play ability could be vital in Lamb's absence. Jalen Tolbert is also in the mix, but for monster gains, Turpin is who I'd take a shot on.

And let's get to the man of the weekend, Tre Tucker. He exploded in Week 3 with eight catches for 145 yards and three scores. Don't expect 40.9 PPR points every game, but he's shown he can deliver highlight plays and production in the red zone.

Through three contests, Tucker has four touchdowns on 20 targets. He's a strong short-term fill-in if you're benching Jeudy while waiting for Cleveland's offense to click. Just keep in mind, you're betting on a guy who can pop for big weeks but can also disappear just as quickly, so manage your FAAB wisely.
