Infield Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 10 (1B, 2B, 3B, SS) - June 2 to June 8

Dan's favorite infield-eligible fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups (1B, 2B, 3B, SS) for Week 10 of 2025 (June 2 - June 8). His top free-agent hitters to add.

Another Sunday has dawned, and with it comes a new edition of RotoBaller’s Infield Waiver Wire Adds series. Before you dip into your league’s free agent pool today, take a gander at this week’s list of infield-eligible players who might be of service in the week ahead and beyond.

From last week’s batch of infielders, Ryan O'Hearn paid off in spades, as did Ceddanne Rafaela. O'Hearn started Week 9 with a 5-for-11 showing against St. Louis that included one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Heading into the weekend, Rafaela was 6-for-13 with one home run and three runs scored since Monday.

Waiver Wire Pickups For Shallow Leagues (30-50% rostered)

Miguel Vargas, 1B/3B/OF, Chicago White Sox (49% rostered)

It feels a little weird to include a member of the White Sox in my list, doubly so for the second week in a row, but when a player is hot, he’s hot. That is just what Miguel Vargas is at the moment. Vargas has a hit in his last six games and has produced six runs, two home runs, and four RBI in that span.

Vargas has been a surprising source for fantasy production given the state of the White Sox offense. His .245 batting average is nothing to write home about, but his eight home runs, 26 runs, and 26 RBI aren’t too shabby. What doesn’t show in his traditional roto stats are his 15 doubles and a respectable 17.7% strikeout rate, which make him all the more valuable in points leagues.

Vargas is not someone I would count on long-term, but I will ride out his hot streak while it lasts. He is a good option as an injury replacement and, with a seven-game week, can be plugged in for a usual starter with confidence. His newfound proclivity for extra-base hits makes him a justifiable starter for the time being in points leagues, too.

Jonathan India, 2B/3B/OF, Kansas City Royals (37% rostered)

After I featured Jonathan India back in the Week 7 edition of this series, he went 7-for-21 with one run scored and three RBI. One would have hoped for greater counting stats with such a successful week at the plate, but anyone who needed help with batting average got what they needed. In Week 9, India has done much of the same, going 7-for-16 thus far but only providing a solitary RBI in the counting categories.

India has another week of favorable matchups ahead in Week 10, including another showdown with Miles Mikolas. India has seriously owned Mikolas, having gone 8-for-25 with three home runs in his career against the righty. After a series against the Cardinals, the Royals move on to beat up on the White Sox rotation to close out Week 10.

A lifetime .252 hitter, India won’t salvage a team’s batting average over the course of the season, but, as with Vargas, it would be wise to take advantage of his hot streak. In the short term, he has been useful in that category and, as long as he keeps it up, holds potential to help out in the runs category while locked into the Royals’ leadoff spot.

Waiver Wire Pickups For Deeper Leagues (10-30% rostered)

Carlos Correa, SS, Minnesota Twins (29% rostered)

Carlos Correa got off to a slow start in 2025, carrying a .236 batting average and hitting only two home runs in his first 41 games of the season. Then, on May 15, the oft-injured shortstop suffered a concussion after colliding with teammate Byron Buxton. Correa did the requisite stint on the injured list and returned to action on May 23.

Since he has been back, it has been a whole new ballgame, as they say. Correa has nine hits, including three home runs, in 26 at-bats since his return and has chipped in six runs, to boot. The switch-hitter has an inviting schedule in the week ahead, starting with a four-game series against the Athletics in balmy Sacramento.

For teams in need of help at shortstop or filling a middle infield slot, Correa is a fantastic option. He also makes sense as a long-term investment. Correa is locked in as the Twins' starting shortstop, won’t be platooned, and, with rare exceptions, slots into the top half of Minnesota’s lineup.

Jac Caglianone, 1B, Kansas City Royals (21% rostered)

Apparently, it’s American League Central Week in the Infield Waiver Wire Adds series. No, Caglianone is not on Kansas City’s active roster yet, but that hasn’t stopped me from featuring players.

The sixth overall pick from last year’s draft is MLB Pipeline’s No. 10 prospect and was recently promoted to Triple-A. Caglianone has six home runs, eight runs, and 12 RBI in 10 games since his advancement on May 19. And that’s after he posted a .322 batting average, 19 walks, nine home runs, and 43 RBI in 38 games at the Double-A level this season.

With the way Caglianone has been mashing, the Royals will be hard pressed not to have him audition in the majors at some point this summer. In leagues with a minor-league slot, Caglianone is a must-add. Anywhere else, he is a worthy bench stash, depending on the context of the team and league.

Waiver Wire Pickups For The Deepest Of Leagues (Under 10% rostered)

Otto Lopez, 2B/SS, Miami Marlins (8% rostered)

Like Correa above, Otto Lopez is another middle infielder who started slow, did a spell on the injured list, and now shows improved performance. In his 11 games since returning, Lopez is 9-for-38 with two home runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. That last statistic is the one I have in mind when including Lopez in this week’s list.

In Week 10, the Marlins face the Rockies and Rays, two of the worst teams in MLB at preventing stolen bases. I’m hopeful that Lopez has a productive week on the basepaths and can pick up at least one steal in each series. This week, he is a worthy add if you need help with stolen bases.

Ty France, 1B, Minnesota Twins (5% rostered)

Ty France was given a day off on Saturday, May 31, while in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak (and having hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games). Go figure that on his night off, he’s called in to pitch hit and then strikes out on a foul tip in his only at-bat of the game to bring the streak to an end.

France has been hitting well as of late, batting .273 with a home run and nine RBI over his last 12 games played. As mentioned above, in the blurb dedicated to Correa, Minnesota has a favorable schedule in the week ahead. After four games in Sacramento, the Twins host the Blue Jays. First on the docket in that series is Kevin Gausman, against whom France is 5-for-14 lifetime.

Deep league teams searching for help at first base or at the corner infield position should consider France for Week 10. The circumstances are right for him to maintain his batting average and to add to his home run and RBI totals. He benefits from forgiving matchups in a seven-game slate and is frequently used in the top half of Minnesota’s lineup.
