RIVAL Fantasy NBA Over/Under DFS Prop Picks: Monday, February 27, 2023

Jake King-Finnen's NBA Over/Under DFS prop picks for RIVAL fantasy contests for Monday, February 27th, 2023. Sign up for RIVAL fantasy and use his NBA DFS prop picks to win money.

Only four games on Monday with around 15 options to choose from. Last night Damian Lillard put up the second 71-point performance of the season, his career-high, and tying eighth for most points scored in a single game. Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, LaMelo Ball, and Brandon Ingram, are all likely candidates to build off of that momentum created, but none are available to bet on yet so make sure to wait and see their lines before cementing in anything.

The 15 options offered are viable and we will work with what we have until that top-tier of players have been posted. Rival Fantasy is a new DFS prop site that allows you to multiply your wager by creating linked, parlay-style bets in their FantasyBook, pit players against each other in Challenges, or compete in a new style of gambling RIVAL calls Fantasy Bingo. Soon enough, RIVAL will also offer season-long contests, really changing the game in terms of the pathways we can take as sports bettors. With promo code BALLER, you get a risk-free deposit of up to $50, and also a free year of RotoBaller Premium access ($199 value).

RIVAL Over/Under Picks – Monday, February 27, 2023

The Monday prior to the All-Star break, Jokic put up 27 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists against the Heat. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and added five assists versus the Pelicans. Evan Mobley gave way for Donovan Mitchell to score 41 points and Onyeka Okongwu posted a 12-point, seven rebound line that crushed his over. Outside of Mobley, even if those players didn’t hit, they were all in position to perform and Mobley still scraped by despite and underwhelming role.

Terry Rozier OVER 34.42 fantasy points

Even with LaMelo Ball playing as well as he is, it’s just the last two games that Terry Rozier has really been struggling. He’s still taking a ton of shots on 23% usage and even having a bad game still points upwards in terms of his potential. Add in the fact that the Pistons don’t offer much resistance and this is lining up to be a bounce back game for Rozier.

Wendell Carter Jr. UNDER 30.25 fantasy points

Wendell Carter Jr. has had trouble finding a groove against Jonas Valanciunas in his career and we aren’t going to assume everything changes tonight. Carter Jr. is among a cluster of 7-footers in the Magic rotation, but he’s clearly the most reliable with his defense and rebounding. Even with that being the case, his scoring is so sporadic that you have to go based on the matchup and tonight it’ll be hard for him to deal with the size of Valanciunas while also helping deal with Brandon Ingram and C.J. McCollum.

Franz Wagner OVER 29.24 fantasy points

While Carter Jr. is busy dealing with the Pelicans offense, Franz Wagner should have no problem scoring against a defense he has dissected in the past. Through the last two games, Wagner has taken a total of 25 shots and scored 42 points. Not the greatest efficiency, but in terms of sheer numbers that’s all we need. He’s used to doing the most in this offense anyway and the Pelicans have easily been one of the worst teams in the league to start 2023. February has been slightly better but New Orleans has yet to beat Orlando since 2021 so both distant and recent history are against them.

Josh Hart UNDER 24.13 fantasy points

The best part of Josh Hart being a Knick is that he is able to play to his strengths and still be embraced by the team. New York is filled with players looking to score and take shots, and Hart has willingly assigned himself to “chopping wood and carrying water.” He won’t look to score unless he has to. He’ll want to make the extra pass and he will want to exert all his energy on defense and rebounding. Undoubtedly, he’ll have good games but we won’t be betting on it.
