Will Drake London play in Week 2 for fantasy football? Is Drake London injured or hurt heading into Week 2 of 2025? Read the latest Drake London injury report.
We saw plenty of highs, lows, and all the in between in the opening week. For fantasy managers, whenever a player gets taken out of a game, it's tough. It's even tougher when it happens to a star player in your starting lineup. That is what happened with fantasy managers and the Falcons on Sunday, as wide receiver Drake London went down.
If you witnessed London fall hard on his right shoulder (on a touchdown catch that was overturned), you were probably constantly refreshing your phone on Sunday. Shoulder injuries can be tricky; ask teammate Darnell Mooney (who missed Sunday's contest with his own shoulder ailment).
Drake London has a shoulder injury and is questionable to return. Falcons already without Darnell Mooney, also a shoulder.

So, what is going on with London? Will he see action versus the Vikings in Week 2? Let's try to break down what we know about the injury and the chances London has to suit up on Sunday.
Drake London Fantasy Football Injury Update
As previously discussed, London landed hard on his right shoulder, trying to make a TD catch in the Falcons' 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He exited the contest late and missed the remainder of the game.
Postgame, head coach Raheem Morris didn't offer any specifics, commenting he didn't have an update on London's status. NFL insider Ian Rapoport later reported that London suffered a shoulder sprain, making him "day-to-day". It seems the injury isn't viewed as long-term, an encouraging detail for fantasy managers.
#Falcons WR Drake London suffered a shoulder sprain and is considered day-to-day as of now, source said. He’ll have more tests, but initial good news on Atlanta’s star who was ruled out earlier today.

It is worth noting that London is no stranger to playing through pain. Last season, the wideout was hindered by both hip and hamstring issues, but still started all 17 matchups.
Despite being banged up, he registered career-highs in receptions (100), receiving yards (1,271), and touchdowns (nine). There's no doubt that he's a tough player, but the medical staff will ultimately decide his fate.
Is Drake London Playing in Week 2?
This early, London's Week 2 status is uncertain. The Falcons battle the Minnesota Vikings this week. London's participation in practice during the week will tell us a lot about Sunday's status. If he's limited early but gets more work as the week progresses, that's a positive sign. If he's sidelined, fantasy managers will need a backup option.
The Falcons were already dealing with depth concerns at WR. Their WR2, Mooney, was absent from Week 1's matchup.
Raheem Morris says he won't be able to confirm anything about Drake London's injury until Wednesday. But he did add that he spoke to Drake this morning and he is "a tough human being."

If both Mooney and London miss Week 2, look for Ray-Ray McCloud III and Casey Washington to see larger roles. Tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. would also gain a spike in targets. The Falcons have a dynamic pass-catcher in RB Bijan Robinson, someone else who could help fill the void.
London's track record of durability is a good sign for fantasy managers. Still, we shouldn't assume he's a lock to play (Mooney was trending towards playing until he was scratched before kickoff). Keep a close watch on practice reports and updates from the team and national reporters this week to see how he's progressing.
Drake London Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 2
It's a no-brainer that if London suits up, you start him. He has proven that his role in the offense is too important, so you play him, even if he's not 100%.
Before his exit in Week 1, London hauled in eight passes for 55 yards and looked sharp with Michael Penix Jr. under center. In three games with Penix last season, the former first-rounder corralled 22 catches for 352 yards, and they picked it right back up on Sunday.

That said, shoulder injuries often hinder a wideout's effectiveness, especially in those who rely on bringing in contested balls. If London is limited in practice but gets the go for Sunday, there is a chance he could be used as a decoy or on a snap count. Still, you have to start him if he's playing.
If he's ruled out, look for Pitts to become a strong start. McCloud and Washington would then enter the streaming conversation (in deeper leagues). Robinson is already a must-start, but his value would climb even more with additional receiving work. As a London manager, you must have a backup plan ready, just in case.
Make sure to monitor London's practice status closely. If he's good to go, he's automatically in your lineup. You'll need to have a replacement for London if he can't play. The game is on Sunday night, so keep an eye out for more clarity leading up to the weekend.
