DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (8/19/20): NBA DFS Lineups

Once again, Tuesday proved there is not much better than playoff basketball. The Orlando Magic had a huge upset over the Milwaukee Bucks, proving even the top teams can be vulnerable in a neutral site. The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers went toe-to-toe down the stretch. James Harden and the small-ball Houston Rockets dominated his former teammate Chris Paul and the Oklahoma City Thunder with a barrage of threes and cutting layups. The Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Lakers went down to the wire in a nail-biting match up.

Now we enter day three of the playoffs with all eight Game 1's in the books. DraftKing's has made some major adjustments to prices and we have a bunch of over compensating which can make or break a player's value in this slate. Here we take a look at a few players who have been solid and not seen much of a difference in price or role.

Here are our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/19/20. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Fred Vanvleet - PG/SG, TOR vs. BKN ($7,600)

If it's not broker, don't fix it. Vanvleet was featured in Monday's DraftKing's lineup picks and delivered with 30 points on 11-for-15 shooting, 11 assists, eight three-pointers, two rebounds, two steals and a block in 39 minutes. With huge games from Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic and more, most guards saw a notable increase in price tag for Wednesday's slate. However, Vanvleet is still affordable and has shown he can dominate the Nets.

Jaylen Brown - SG, BOS vs. PHI ($7,500)

The tandem of Brown (29 points) and Jayson Tatum (32 points, 13 rebounds) dominated the Sixers in Game 1 on Monday. However, unfortunately for the Celtics, Gordon Hayward (ankle) will miss the next three-to-four weeks due to a Grade 3 ankle sprain. As a result of all this, Tatum saw his price increased to to $9,000 while Brown's stayed almost identical. Hayward took 13.5 shots per game and had a 21.1 usage percentage. With that much opportunity to go around, Brown should see a similar performance.

Alec Burks - PG/SG, PHI @ BOS ($4,600)

Burks makes it as a DFS pick again after an 18-point, six-rebound performance in 28 minutes off the bench in Game 1. Burks has now scored in double-digits in five straight contests, averaging 19.8 points on 48.1 percent shooting, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 three-pointers in just 25.8 minutes per game. With Ben Simmons (knee) out for the season and Shake Milton taking over the starting point guard, Burks is the first option off the bench and has at least 11 shot attempts in his past five contests. Burks saw his price go up after Game 1, but at $4,600 he is still a value play.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Pascal Siakam - PF, TOR vs. BKN ($7,500)

Siakam was somewhat quiet in the route of the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Siakam only shot 4-for-13  and recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds in 31 minutes. Siakam also got unlucky with foul trouble early and often, forcing him to sit while his teammates blew out Brooklyn. Siakam has really struggled with his shot lately, shooting just 32.6 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three over his past three games, but expect a different Siakam in Game 2. With the Toronto guards dominating in Game 1, the Nets should make a gameplan around them which should give Siakam a little more leeway to get going.

Joe Ingles - SG/SF, UTA @ DEN ($5,600)

Mike Conley (personal) has officially returned to the bubble after the birth of his child, but has not cleared quarantine and will not be available for Wednesday. Without Conley, Ingles has stepped up as the primary facilitator and played extremely well in Game 1. Overshadowed by Mitchell's 57 points, Ingles put up 19 points, six assists, five rebounds and five three-pointers in 43 minutes. The minutes were inflated due to the game going into overtime, but with Conley out again, Ingles should get a similar workload. Denver will most likely plan around containing Mitchell, who took 33 shots on Monday. Ingles will likely have a few more open looks if the Nuggets decide to double Mitchell early and often.

Tim Hardaway Jr. - SG/SF, DAL @ LAC ($5,300)

As unfortunate as the Game 1 controversy was, we need to move past and look ahead to Game 2. One of the players to look for would be Hardaway. He might not get the recognition playing behind the shadow of Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, but Hardaway has settled in nicely as the complementary third option on offense. Hardaway went for 18 points, six rebounds, four three-pointers and a steal in 36 minutes of the first playoff meeting. Hardaway got more offensive looks with Porzingis ejected which is most likely why Hardaway's price went down. However, Hardaway should be more efficient than Game 1 (43.8 percent from the field, 36.4 from three) with the Clippers defense hoping to contain Porzingis.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert - C, UTA @ DEN ($7,400)

Gobert has a nightmare match up against Nikola Jokic, but held his own in Game 1 on Monday. Gobert put up 17 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 42 minutes. The biggest takeaways from Gobert's stat line was the four blocks, but also the five fouls. Gobert can be a monster on defense and he most likely picked up more due to the game going into overtime, but it is something to consider. Since the restart, the Nuggets have given up the second-most points, third-most rebounds and fourth-most blocks to opposing centers. Despite all this, Gobert actually lowered in price and has one of the highest floors compared to the other centers in Wednesday's slate.
