Detroit Red Wings right wing Lucas Raymond (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's clash against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He will be sidelined for a second consecutive game due to an upper-body injury. Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan said Raymond was day-to-day. If he can make progress over the weekend, Raymond may be available for Sunday's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers. Prior to his injury, Raymond was enjoying good start-of-the-season form, recording two goals and three points in three games. With Raymond out, Mason Appleton excelled in a first-line role in Wednesday's meeting with the Florida Panthers, scoring twice in a 4-1 victory.--Taavi Pailk
