Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (9/20/25) main slate in Week 4. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.
The evening slate is larger on DraftKings this Saturday, but we will have a great 11-game main slate. The scores are going to be higher than Thomas P. Chong on this slate! We have so many good options that we need to get creative to set our lineups apart. I'm talking game stacks, naked quarterbacks, third receivers to pack studs...we'll cover it all!
We have the Battle for the Iron Skillet, Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl, Texas Tech in Salt Lake, Syracuse in Clemson, and Maryland in Madison at noon. The afternoon gets even better with Tulane in Oxford, Jackson Arnold heading back to Norman, North Carolina, in the Bounce House, Michigan in Lincoln, Purdue fighting Notre Dame for a stick, and NC State in Durham. This slate is loaded!
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the main DraftKings slate on 9/20/25, starting at noon Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, aiming to highlight one option at each end of the salary scale, from high to low. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
John Mateer, Oklahoma ($9K)
John Mateer is electric. True Baker Mayfield-style gunslinger with A-tier mobility.

I expect Mateer to have another great game. Auburn's defense is good, but Sawyer Robertson still threw for over 400 yards. Mateer still managed 33.2 DraftKings points against a good Michigan front. He has scored at least one rushing touchdown in each game, which definitely helps the value. He is essentially Oklahoma's goal-line back right now.
Taylen Green, Arkansas ($8.4K)
Green is in the same vein as Mateer. He is a gifted runner as well as a very good passer. The Memphis defense is better than last year, but it's not as good as the Mississippi unit that Green carved up for 39.7 DraftKings points last week. That was his lowest mark on the season so far! Green easily has the highest ceiling on the slate.
Darian Mensah, Duke ($7.4K)
The Blue Devils are having trouble running the ball, so they have leaned on Mensah more than many originally thought. The Blue Devils lead the nation in pass rate at 66.2%. It's no wonder that Mensah has thrown for over 300 yards in every game. If he can throw for three Benjamins against Illinois, he can do it against anyone.
Ryan Browne, Purdue ($6K)
If Purdue has any prayer at keeping this game close, they'll need another strong outing from Browne. He was good against USC, picking up 22.6 DraftKings points, but he did throw three interceptions. The yardage should be there. It's the turnovers that could ruin our day.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Hollywood Smothers, North Carolina State ($8.6K)
Hollywood Smothers was a force on the ground 🐺💨

Want to hear a crazy stat? Hollywood has more carries in 2025 than the entire Duke team. He also has 10 receptions on the season. Smothers hasn't gotten loose in the passing game, but does it matter? Those extra points on receptions, coupled with that heavy workload, make him more than worth the money.
The Pack is going to try to slow this game down. They want to run the ball. As we already mentioned, Duke throws the ball more than any team in the country. Expect another massive workload for Hollywood.
Kewan Lacy, Mississippi ($7.7K)
Lacy already has 61 carries on the season. Even though the run game was ineffective against Arkansas, Lacy still scored a touchdown and got eight DK points in the passing game. Lacy is going to be heavily involved in the offense no matter how the Rebels decide to attack Tulane.
Adam Randall, Clemson ($7.1K)
Randall wasn't involved much against LSU, but Clemson has made it a point to get him involved in the last two games. Randall has 36 carries for 192 yards, along with 4 receptions for 23 yards in those two games.
Clemson may go back to the air more if Antonio Williams can play, but on the ground is where to attack the Syracuse defense. The Orange have allowed 495 yards rushing already and 4.81 yards per carry. Tennessee went for more than six yards per carry on the Orange. Clemson may be able to come close to that performance.
TJ Harden, SMU ($5.5K)
Harden has scored five of SMU's nine touchdowns in the last two games. He has also run for 211 yards. SMU is an explosive offense. The game has gone over 75 combined points in four of the last five years. Expect another high-scoring affair here.
Demon June, North Carolina ($4.6K)
It's hard to glean any meaningful information against an FCS school, but June racked up 148 rushing yards. He got most of the early carries, suggesting that he is the leader of the RB room. He's going to be in a lot of lineups at this price, but he should smash UCF. Get different elsewhere.

I'm not worried about the pedestrian stat line against Temple. Burks came up huge against Michigan when John Mateer couldn't do whatever he wanted on every play. Mateer won't be able to against Auburn. Burks will take center stage against Auburn as he did against Michigan.
O'Mega Blake, Arkansas ($6.2K)
Taylen Green's hero ball still needs a sidekick. That's Blake. He has 18 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns so far. His production has been consistent in all three games. Blake will get his no matter the situation, no matter the score. Not many players are this reliable.
The issue is that Blake is mostly a cash play. He doesn't have a very high ceiling thanks to the way Green plays and produces without anyone's help.
Jordan Dwyer, TCU ($5.6K)
Dwyer is by far the team leader in receptions. He has 14 on the season on 17 targets. The next closest player has six. Dwyer has 87 more receiving yards than the second. Keep in mind that TCU has only played two games. That's a significant cut of the passing output after two games.
This is likely to be a high-scoring game. Dwyer may wind up being the highest-scoring receiver on the slate.
Ryan Davis, Utah ($4.6K)
Davis came over from New Mexico with Devon Dampier, so it makes sense that he has been Dampier's favorite receiver so far in 2025. Davis hauled in 10 passes against Wyoming. Texas Tech is going to try to take away the run, including from Dampier. That will result in Dampier having to go to the air again; Davis is who he'll be looking for.
Harrison Wallace III, Mississippi ($4.1K)
This price is insane and will also result in well over half of the lineups having Wallace in any contest. Wallace has 15 receptions for 339 yards in three games. He should be at least $3K higher. Take advantage of this mispricing. There are plenty of other ways to get different.

DraftKings CFB DFS Stacks
TCU vs. SMU
I'm stacking this whole game because I can't decide which side I like best. I'll break this down by who I want from each team for those of you who don't like whole game stacks.
The TCU passing game is the way to go. Josh Hoover, Jordan Dwyer, and Eric McAllister are the perfect three-man TCU stack. A full five-man is a bit tougher due to the uncertain status of Kevorian Barnes. I like Barnes if he plays. If not, Jeremy Payne is in for an expanded workload and should be in the stack. The third receiver would be Joseph Manjack IV...and he's the minimum price!
The SMU side is much easier. Kevin Jennings, Romello Brinson, and TJ Harden are the three you want from SMU. Russell Maryland Jr. and Jalen Cooper would complete the five-man. Harden has left the rest of the backfield in the dust.
Notre Dame vs. Purdue
That Notre Dame explosion against Texas A&M may not be a fluke. CJ Carr is worth playing with or without the stack around him. With an Irish stack, I think you need both Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price. Eli Raridon has been the safety valve for Carr, but Malachi Fields was huge in the game against A&M. I like both of them to complete the five-man stack.
