Sunday Fantasy Football Lineup Decisions
As we approach another Sunday of NFL action, fantasy managers must continue their hard work to secure a spot in the fantasy football playoffs. We are just about at the halfway mark of the 2025 fantasy football season, so the playoffs will be here before we know it.
That means each start/sit decision will be met with increased scrutiny as we move deeper into the season. So let’s not waste any more time and start analyzing which players to throw into your lineups as well as which ones to send to the bench.

QB Starts - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Caleb Williams - QB, Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints
Williams threw for 252 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and a rushing touchdown in Monday’s come-from-behind victory over the Washington Commanders. Now he gets to face a New Orleans defense that just allowed Drake Maye to throw for three touchdown passes against them in Week 6.
New Orleans has also allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game and the second most touchdown passes to opposing quarterbacks per Fantasy Football Today. Start Williams as a QB1 this week.

Jared Goff - QB, Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Goff is coming off a QB18 finish in Week 6. However, he gets a nice matchup in Week 7 as Tampa Bay’s defense currently ranks 20th in FTN Fantasy’s defensive passing DVOA.
This game has major shootout potential, and that makes Goff a viable streaming candidate for this weekend.
Dillon Gabriel - QB, Cleveland Browns vs. Miami Dolphins
Gabriel struggled against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, but he did throw two touchdowns in his pro debut two weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings.
Miami’s defense continues to be one of the worst in the league and has allowed the second-most points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Start Gabriel as a QB2 in superflex formats.
QB Sits - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Sam Darnold - QB, Seattle Seahawks vs. Houston Texans
Darnold has played at a high level this year and has thrown 11 touchdowns against three interceptions. However, he has a tough matchup this week against a Texans defense that ranks third in defensive passing DVOA.
This could be a game where Darnold and the Seattle passing game struggle. That means gamers should leave him on the bench.
Jaxson Dart - QB, New York Giants at Denver Broncos
Dart and the Giants are coming off an impressive win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday night. However, this game could be a major letdown for Dart following that big win.
Denver allows the second-fewest points per game to opposing quarterbacks and has also allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards to signal-callers, too. That could negate a huge aspect of Dart’s fantasy appeal and means the Giants rookie could post a real stinker in this game.
Daniel Jones - QB, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers
Jones has the Colts off to their best start since the 2009 season. He continues to play well, but the Chargers' defense could cause him some problems.
Los Angeles ranks eighth in defense passing DVOA and fourth in PFF’s pass coverage grade. Gamers streaming the position should consider other options this week.
RB Starts - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Rhamondre Stevenson - RB, New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans
New England’s ground attack struggled to get going against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. They should find things easier this weekend against a Titans team that allows 133.7 rushing yards per game.
Tennessee also has allowed the fourth-most PPR points per game to opposing running backs. Start Stevenson as a low-end RB2 or flex play.
Kendre Miller - RB, New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears
Chicago’s run defense showed signs of improvement last Monday night against the Washington Commanders, but the team still ranks 22nd in defensive DVOA. New Orleans could surprise in this game as Chicago might be in for a letdown following its last-second win on Monday Night Football.
The Saints' best path to victory in this game will be through Miller, Alvin Kamara, and the ground attack. Gamers in deeper leagues should start Miller as a flex play.
Quinshon Judkins - RB, Cleveland Browns vs. Miami Dolphins
Judkins let gamers down last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has a great bounce-back spot in front of him today. Miami allows over 168 rushing yards per game, which is the most in the NFL.
This is a game where the Browns should remain competitive and could be playing with a lead. That makes this an excellent time for gamers to put Judkins in their lineups.
RB Sits - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Nick Chubb - RB, Houston Texans at Seattle Seahawks
Chubb is coming off his best game of the season two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens. He ran for 61 rushing yards on 11 carries and scored a rushing touchdown in that game.
This week is a much tougher test as Seattle ranks second in defensive rushing DVOA and allows the second-fewest rushing yards per game, too. This game projects as a possible low-scoring contest, and that means Chubb carries bust potential here.
Tony Pollard - RB, Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots
Pollard split playing time with Tyjae Spears last week following the latter’s return from a high ankle sprain. With Pollard no longer being a lock for a bell cow role, and the Titans likely playing from behind for the majority of this game, he carries little upside heading into this matchup.
Leave him on the bench and consider other options this week.
Michael Carter/Bam Knight - RBs, Arizona Cardinals vs. Green Bay Packers
Green Bay has allowed the fewest rushing yards per game in the league this year. This looks like a spot where the Cardinals' ground game could struggle, resulting in the team falling behind early.
That would force Arizona to abandon the run and would be bad news for Carter and Knight. Pivot off both players for other running backs.
WR Starts - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Michael Pittman Jr. - WR, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers
Josh Downs has been ruled out for today's game due to a concussion. That should mean more targets head Pittman's direction. That's a good thing because Los Angeles allows 88.9 receiving yards per game to opposing WR1s.
This is a potentially tough matchup for Pittman as Los Angeles has allowed the third fewest PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers. However, the volume Pittman should see here makes him a solid play as a WR3 or flex with a boost in PPR formats.
Sterling Shepard - WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Mike Evans is set to return for the Buccaneers, but Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin will miss today’s game. That means there’s plenty of room for Shepard to remain involved in the Buccaneers' offense this week.
Gamers should start Shepard as a flex play with a boost in full PPR formats. Tez Johnson, the Buccaneers' seventh-round rookie who caught a touchdown in last week's game, is also worth throwing into lineups in deeper leagues, too.
Kayshon Boutte - WR, New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans
Boutte popped for a huge game against the New Orleans Saints last week. He posted a 5-93-2 line on five targets and finished Week 6 as the PPR WR4.

— NFL (@NFL) October 12, 2025
Boutte could keep rolling this weekend as the Titans rank 22nd in defensive passing DVOA. New England’s ground game has also struggled this year, so there’s a chance the team continues to rely on quarterback Drake Maye and its passing game.
That makes Boutte worthy of a start as a WR3 or flex play.
WR Sits - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Tetairoa McMillan - WR Carolina Panthers at New York Jets
McMillan scored two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys last week. It was a sight his fantasy managers were waiting to see. However, he was only targeted five times in that game and still finished outside the top 12 receivers in full PPR leagues.
Now he draws a matchup against cornerback Sauce Gardner and a Jets defense that allows the seventh-fewest PPR points per game to wide receivers. Gamers should consider pivoting off McMillan for other options.
DeVonta Smith - WR, Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings
The Eagles' offense has been off all season, and Smith has struggled to receive consistent targets. Combine that with a tough matchup against the Vikings, who have allowed the fewest PPR points per game to wide receivers, and this projects as another difficult spot for Smith.
Gamers should leave him on the bench in favor of other options.
Wan’Dale Robinson - WR, New York Giants at Denver Broncos
Robinson is coming off a PPR WR9 finish in Week 6 when he posted a 6-84-1 line against the Philadelphia Eagles. This week, though, things will be different.
The Broncos rank seventh in defensive passing DVOA and have allowed the second-fewest PPR points per game to opposing receivers. With Jaxson Dart and the Giants' offense set to potentially struggle in this game, it might behoove managers to leave Robinson out of lineups for this week.
TE Starts - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Mason Taylor - TE, New York Jets vs. Carolina Panthers
Taylor and the entire Jets offense had a rough outing in Week 6. However, Taylor could be set for a bounce-back game here.
Garrett Wilson will miss today’s game, and that leaves Taylor as the team’s de facto WR1. That's good news because Carolina ranks 32nd in DVOA against tight ends and allows an average of 6.2 receptions and 74 receiving yards per game to the position.
Managers should feel comfortable starting Taylor as a streaming option this week.
Harold Fannin Jr. - TE, Cleveland Browns vs. Miami Dolphins
This is a good spot for Fannin and the entire Browns offense. Miami allows an average of six receptions and 66.5 receiving yards per game to tight ends.
If your regular starter is on bye or you’ve been streaming the position, Fannin is an excellent option for Week 7.
Sam LaPorta - TE, Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
LaPorta has posted two straight strong performances and has scored a touchdown in two consecutive games. He has a great chance to post his third straight quality outing this week against a Buccaneers defense that ranks 28th in DVOA against tight ends and has given up solid performances to A.J. Barner and Jake Tongues each of the last two weeks.
Fire up LaPorta again this week, and don’t be shocked if he finds the endzone for a third straight game.
TE Sits - Week 7 Fantasy Football
Travis Kelce - TE, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Rashee Rice is set to return today from a six-game suspension. Kelce struggled to produce while Rice was healthy last year.
The Raiders have also been surprisingly effective at guarding opposing tight ends this year. Las Vegas has held tight ends to an average of four receptions and 45.3 receiving yards per game. Managers should avoid Kelce in this matchup and consider other options.
A.J. Barner - TE, Seattle Seahawks vs. Houston Texans
Barber has scored double-digit PPR points each of the last two weeks. He could struggle Monday night, though, as the Texans allow the sixth-fewest PPR points per game and have allowed just one receiving touchdown to tight ends this season.
T.J. Hockenson - TE, Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Hockenson has largely been ineffective in 2025. He is only averaging 8.1 yards per reception and hasn’t been heavily featured in Minnesota’s offense. Now Hockenson faces an Eagles defense that allows the third fewest PPR points per game to opposing tight ends and ranks first in DVOA against the position.
Gamers should not feel obligated to leave Hockenson in their lineups this week and should be comfortable sending him to the bench for this game.
