MLB Power Rankings: Top 12 Biggest All-Star Snubs of 2025

Cristopher Sanchez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Who are the top 12 MLB players who deserved All Star recognition this season but got left off the roster?

Juan Soto - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

MLB Power Rankings: Top 12 Biggest All-Star Snubs of 2025

These MLB stars have been lighting it up all season but still got snubbed from the All Star Game! From power hitters to ace pitchers, find out which players are carrying their teams and why they deserved more recognition this year.

SAN DIEGO PADRES - MLB TEAM LOGO

12. Nick Pivetta, San Diego Padres

Nick Pivetta has put together an All-Star worthy season for the Padres, delivering nine wins (tied for the league lead), along with a 3.25 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. The 32-year-old veteran has been a key part of  San Diego’s winning rotation.

Even though the Padres trail the Dodgers in the tough NL West, an argument could be made that Pivetta deserved a spot on the All-Star roster. They will need him to keep it up if they want to stay in the race.

Carlos Rodon - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups - icon rotoballer

11. Carlos Rodon, New York Yankees

The Yankees might be struggling a bit right now, but Carlos Rodon has been one of their few bright spots. With Gerrit Cole out for the season, Rodon has really stepped up, striking out 127 batters which ranks sixth most in the league and already racking up nine wins.

He has a solid 3.30 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP and has been badly needed by a Yankees pitching staff hit hard by injuries. There is definitely a case to be made that he deserved an All Star spot this year.

San Francisco Giants - MLB Team Logo

10. Rafael Devers, San Francisco Giants

Despite a rocky start that made headlines with the Boston Red Sox, Rafael Devers has put together another strong season at the plate. He ranks seventh in the league in RBIs with 67 and is second in walks and fourth in on-base percentage.

While his defense might not grab headlines, his bat has been a major asset for the Giants. Still, it wasn’t quite enough to earn him an All-Star nod this year.

Joe Ryan - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

9. Joe Ryan, Minnesota Twins

Joe Ryan may not be pitching for a World Series contender, but he has been a rock for the Twins this season. He owns a 2.76 ERA, an impressive 0.89 WHIP, and has struck out 116 batters while holding an 8–4 record.

Ryan’s consistent dominance on the mound has kept Minnesota competitive, making a strong case for All-Star consideration. While he may not get the nod this year, his performance deserves recognition.

Spencer Torkelson - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

8. Spencer Torkelson, Detroit Tigers

The Tigers have taken the league by surprise, sitting near the top of the standings as we approach the All-Star break. Spencer Torkelson has been a big part of that, providing power in the middle of the lineup.

He is tied with Pete Alonso for the most home runs by a first baseman (20) and has driven in 56 runs. While Torkelson’s production can be unpredictable at times, he has come through when it counts this season. On a first-place team, that should matter when the All-Star rosters are selected.

George Springer - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

7. George Springer, Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have shocked the baseball world by climbing to the top of the AL East, and George Springer has been right in the middle of it. After a few down years, he has bounced back in a major way.

Springer is batting .281 with 16 home runs, 53 RBIs, 51 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases. He is doing a little bit of everything for a winning team, and his veteran impact warranted All-Star recognition this season.

Framber Valdez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

6. Framber Valdez, Houston Astros

It is tough to figure out how Framber Valdez missed the cut. He is 10–4 with a 2.90 ERA and has racked up 115 strikeouts in 115 innings for the first-place Astros.

Valdez ranks seventh in the league in innings pitched, third in quality starts, and second in wins. He has been a true workhorse for Houston and one of the most effective starters in the American League. His absence is one of the most surprising snubs on the list.

Cristopher Sanchez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

5. Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies

It is hard to understand how Cristopher Sanchez was left off the National League All-Star roster. He has been a steady force on the mound for the first-place Phillies and is putting up even better numbers than when he made the All-Star team last season.

The talented lefty holds a 2.68 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP, anchoring one of the best rotations in baseball. With his consistency and production for a winning team, Sanchez deserved to be there.

Michael Busch - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

4. Michael Busch, Chicago Cubs

It is tough to crack the All-Star roster at first base in the National League, especially with big names like Freddie Freeman around. But Michael Busch has built a case that is hard to ignore.

He is batting .297 with 18 home runs and 56 RBIs, and his .921 OPS ranks fourth in the league, just behind Shohei Ohtani. As a key piece of a strong Cubs offense, Busch has more than earned a spot in the conversation.

trea turner - fantasy baseball rankings shortstops draft sleepers MLB injury news

3. Trea Turner, Philadelphia Phillies

Batting close to .300 and anchoring the infield for one of the top teams in baseball, Trea Turner has quietly put together a strong All-Star case. He has been a steady presence in the Phillies’ lineup all year.

Turner is hitting .299 with 11 home runs, 61 runs scored, and 22 stolen bases, which is top 10 in MLB. His speed changes games, and his all-around impact has been a major reason the Phillies remain a powerhouse in the National League.

Seiya Suzuki - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

2. Seiya Suzuki, Chicago Cubs

Leading the league in RBIs usually gets you a ticket to the All-Star Game. But somehow, Seiya Suzuki was left off the National League roster, even though he has driven in more runs than Aaron Judge.

Suzuki is batting .263 with 25 home runs and an .880 OPS, which ranks among the top 15 in baseball. He has been a consistent bat in a loaded Cubs lineup, helping power one of the best teams in the league. His omission is one of the most baffling on the list.

Juan Soto - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

1. Juan Soto, New York Mets

It is surprising to even see Juan Soto’s name in an All-Star snubs article. He is usually one of the first names on the roster, but a quiet start in his first season with the Mets kept him off the list.

He has put that slow start behind him and still ended up with strong numbers that would usually warrant an All-Star spot. Soto is batting .263 with 21 homers, leads the league in walks, and remains one of the best in baseball at getting on base. He has been a steady force in the Mets’ lineup as they chase the Phillies in the NL East.
