Can Tyjae Spears Cash in on a Favorable Matchup in Week 9?
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears had a season high of carries in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. The 24-year-old had nine carries for 59 yards and a touchdown, along with three catches for 23 yards on three targets. Spears finished with 17.2 fantasy points, marking the third straight game of having over seven fantasy points. Heading into Week 9, Spears has a friendly matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, who have allowed the sixth-most yards per carry (4.9) and the second-most rushing touchdowns (10) this season. Spears has averaged 5.5 yards per carry since returning from a high-ankle sprain and has earned more touches each week as he's gotten further away from his injury. The third-year running back has an opportunity to stack back-to-back strong performances and become the number one option in a talent-hungry offense. Spears is an RB3 heading into Week 9 with a favorable matchup and is a reliable flex option for fantasy managers.
