Should I start Michael Wilson, Wan'Dale Robinson, Darnell Mooney for Week 12? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
You probably had an opportunity to grab Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson, New York Giants slot receiver Wan'Dale Robinson, or Atlanta Falcons wideout Darnell Mooney at some point off the waiver wire this season.
While it probably felt good to add them after a blow-up week or a potential big game upcoming due to an injury to another receiver, it's harder to know when to start the players. It's a challenge with waiver pickups because we know they are volatile starts.
But with receivers like Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, and Ladd McConkey on bye this week, and yet others injured, you might not have much of a choice. So should you start Wilson, Robinson, and Mooney for fantasy football in Week 12?

Should I Start Michael Wilson for Fantasy Football?
Wilson absolutely detonated last week, catching 15 of his 18 targets for 185 yards. The Cardinals were forced into a negative game script as the San Francisco 49ers racked up touchdowns against them, leading Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett to complete an NFL record 47 passes for over 450 yards.
Wilson was one of the main beneficiaries, along with elite tight end Trey McBride. In Week 12, Arizona will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Interestingly, though, they shut down the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 to the tune of just 81 passing yards from QB Justin Herbert.

It's probably less reasonable to think the Jags overhauled their pass defense into an elite unit overnight and more reasonable to think the Chargers offensive line being absolutely decimated by injuries played a big part here. So Wilson is probably a solid start.
Cardinals WR1 Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendicitis) has already been ruled out for Week 12, so Wilson will once again serve as the WR1. He probably won't have the same success as he did last week, but he should produce viable numbers to be at least a good flex play in PPR leagues.
Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?
Robinson was targeted nine times in Week 11, but caught just four passes for 36 yards. He's always been a low-average-depth-of-target, low yards per catch receiver that runs a lot of short routes. He doesn't have a lot of touchdown upside and relies heavily on high catch numbers to be startable in PPR fantasy football leagues.

The elite play of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart (concussion) elevates all this team's receivers. But he's been ruled out for Week 12, so backup QB Jameis Winston will get the start. And there's a strong chance WR Darius Slayton (hamstring), the team's No. 1 wideout, will return to play.
Robinson is a risky start when Dart isn't playing. Winston has been a gunslinger in years past, but his abilities are fading with age, and it's hard to predict him having another huge game. He also prefers to throw the ball deep down the field, and Slayton is the team's only real deep threat right now.
Slayton seems like the more comfortable start if he's healthy for this game. Robinson probably belongs on benches until Dart comes back.
Should I Start Darnell Mooney for Fantasy Football?
Mooney will likely have an expanded role in the Falcons offense in Week 12 due to the injury to Drake London (knee) causing him to be ruled out. But Mooney's been playing through a broken collarbone that didn't get surgically corrected this year.
He's not been the player he was last year. His production has absolutely nosedived, and with QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) out for the season with an ACL tear, it will be backup Kirk Cousins getting the starting nod. He's been dreadful this season.

It doesn't seem like he'll channel his 2024 Mooney, though it is possible that he gets a high target volume. The Falcons will play the New Orleans Saints in Week 12, and they haven't played very well on defense. They've allowed 6.8 yards per pass attempt, which ranks just outside the bottom-10 in the NFL.
Mooney is startable as a flex play, but there's quite a bit of risk. There's a solid chance the Falcons offense absolutely collapses without London and Penix. They got blown out by the Miami Dolphins just a few weeks ago in Cousins' only other start of the season, in a game London missed as well.
This offense has looked unbelievably awful without London on the field this year, so Mooney isn't more of a flex play in 12-team PPR leagues if you're missing a starter.
