Quarterback (QB) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 4 (2025)

Jordan Love - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Matt's quarterback (QB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 4 of 2025. His QB lineups advice for Week 4 fantasy football start/sit decisions.

If you have questions, we have answers, especially if they involve who you should start at the quarterback position in Week 4.

We all know Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are smash starts every week, so you won't find them on this list. We want to go deeper and dig into the matchups to find quarterbacks who are in a position to produce but may be going under the radar. Last week, we recommended both Caleb Williams and Daniel Jones, who each finished the week in QB1 territory.

With that in mind, here are your Week 4 starts and sits for the quarterback position.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Week 4 - Fantasy Football Booms

Jordan Love - QB, Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

Against the Browns, Love struggled. That tends to happen when you are being pressured every play, and the problem is further compounded when the man bringing the heat is Myles Garrett. Love completed a healthy 18 of 25 pass attempts, but most of them went for little to no gain, and at the end of the day, the Packers' offense totalled 183 passing yards.

Luckily for fantasy managers and Packers faithful, last week's shortcomings will not continue this week as the Packers head to Dallas to face a Cowboys defense that is currently being picked apart by opposing signal callers for an average of 27.80 fantasy points per contest. All Williams needed to do to produce 29.1 fantasy points was complete 19 passes. On those 19 completions, Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns.

The Cowboys' pass defense has become a significant concern and an easy target for fantasy managers. Not only was Williams successful, but Russell Wilson was dangerous two weeks ago, throwing for 450 yards and three touchdowns. This was a week after Jalen Hurts ran for 62 yards and a pair of scores. In just three contests, the Cowboys have conceded 900 yards, seven touchdowns through the air, and 94 yards and two touchdowns to quarterbacks on the ground.

Geno Smith - QB, Las Vegas Raiders vs Chicago Bears

Don't look now, but heading into Week 4, Smith is currently sitting in the top five in passing yards with 831. Smith would likely be higher in fantasy had he produced more than the four touchdown passes he has thus far, with three coming last week, which equals his interception total. Smith has been sacked 12 times this season, at least thrice in the Raiders' three contests. The good news is that Chicago's five sacks this season are tied for the seventh-fewest.

Smith is a great start this week because the Bears have allowed 22.62 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, the fourth-most. They have also yielded eight passing touchdowns and 769 yards through the air, the sixth-highest passing total.

Las Vegas is home once again this week, inside the dome. Why is this important? Over the course of his career, Smith has 55 touchdowns and 33 interceptions when playing outdoors, with yards per attempt down at 7.2. Inside the friendly confines of the dome, Smith has 23 touchdowns and six interceptions, with his yards per attempt and EPA significantly improving.

Tua Tagovailoa- QB, Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets

There are some great quarterbacks this week with great matchups. Then there is Tagovailoa, who is also looking at a great matchup but far from being considered a great quarterback in 2025. Coming into this Week 4 showdown, Tagovailoa sits as the QB22, averaging 13.6 fantasy points per game and failing to produce more than 14 fantasy points in two of his three contests thus far.

Here's the thing: the New York Jets have allowed 657 yards passing and five touchdowns this season, and have yet to force an interception. When you add that up, that works out to 18.73 fantasy points against per game, the eighth-most. As much as Tagovailoa has struggled in recent memory, Tagovailoa is the only quarterback in the league who can still stake a claim to lead the league in passer rating, completion percentage, and passing yards at some point. It's hard to believe that it all has just disappeared. Tagovailoa has an extra couple of days to prepare for the Jets as he is coming off a Thursday night performance in which he completed 23 of 35 passing for 161 yards, a pair of touchdowns, and an 83.2 passer rating.

Tagovailoa's inclusion this week is more about the Jets than about him. In the opening week of the NFL season, New York allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw for four touchdowns, then Allen to rush for 59 yards and Baker Mayfield to run for 44 yards. The 99 rushing yards the Jets have allowed are the third-most. As much as Miami doesn't want Tagovailoa to run, if the Miami quarterback does take off, there could be plenty of grass and fantasy points ahead of him.

Some other quarterbacks facing good matchups this week include Hurts and Mayfield, whose Eagles and Buccaneers teams face one another in a battle of 3-0 teams. Patrick Mahomes is also in a good spot as the Chiefs host the Ravens, and Allen and the Bills face a Saints defense allowing 19.20 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position.

Week 4 - Fantasy Football Busts

Dak Prescott - QB, Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers

We have a Micah Parsons revenge game on our hands this week. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys welcome back a vanquished Parsons and a Green Bay Packers defense that knows a thing or two about getting after the quarterback. Green Bay is holding opposing quarterbacks to a 77.8 passer rating, the eighth-lowest, while sacking the opposing quarterback on 10 occasions, the fourth-most. These are not exactly numbers that instill confidence in starting Dak Prescott this week.

Further complicating matters, Dallas will be without CeeDee Lamb, who is lucky to have sustained a high ankle sprain last week against the Bears. On the play, a defender rolled up on Lamb, and it surely looked like Lamb's season was concluding, as ankles aren't supposed to bend like that. With no Lamb, George Pickens will need to play a larger role, as the five receptions on nine targets would have us believe.

Against the Browns, Green Bay held Joe Flacco to 4.70 fantasy points and 142 passing yards, forcing an interception and recording a pair of sacks. On the season, the 11.43 fantasy points allowed per game is the second-fewest, trailing only the Carolina Panthers.

Aaron Rodgers - QB, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings

Last week, the Minnesota Vikings' defense dropped 30 fantasy points. Only Tre Tucker scored more fantasy points than Minnesota because Isaiah Rodgers had himself a game, forcing a pair of fumbles and returning one, along with an interception the other way for six points.

Heading into Week 4, Minnesota has been opportunistic once again, recovering five fumbles and forcing a pair of interceptions, bringing their turnover total to seven, the third-most this season. Against New England, the Steelers kept Aaron Rodgers clean, but Minnesota may have other plans. In the previous two contests, Rodgers was sacked on seven occasions, and this week, Minnesota's nine sacks are the fifth-most.

Pittsburgh's offense hasn't been all that impressive. Last week, Rodgers threw for 139 yards. Jaylen Warren was the leading rusher with 47 yards on 18 attempts. Meanwhile, Calvin Austin III and Warren led the Steelers in receiving yards with 34 apiece. Getting the offense going this week will be a tall order, considering the Vikings allow just 271.3 total yards per game and 141.3 passing yards per contest, the third-fewest, and 11.80 fantasy points against.

Matthew Stafford - QB, Los Angeles Rams vs Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have been a pleasant surprise for fantasy managers streaming DSTs this season. But should the Colts be considered a set-it-and-forget-it option? In two of three contests, the Colts' defense has produced 12 or more fantasy points, and they have held opposing quarterbacks to 13.01 fantasy points per game through three weeks.

Last week, against the Eagles, Stafford left plenty of points on the board, thanks to several ill-timed throws. Although the Eagles' defense is good, Indianapolis has been even better. Philadelphia has held teams to 21 points per game and 185.7 passing yards per contest, while the Colts have been better in both categories, allowing 18.7 points per game and 178.3 passing yards. Indianapolis's four interceptions this season are tied for the third-most, while the seven sacks they have accumulated through their first three contests are a respectable 14th.

Against Philadelphia last week, Stafford completed 19 of 33 passing attempts for 196 yards, with 44 of those yards coming on one play in which he hooked up with Davante Adams. Look at it any way you want. It wasn't a good performance last week, and the matchup this week is even more difficult.
