Kristian Campbell, Red Sox Are In Deep Talks About Contract Extension
The Boston Red Sox and top infield prospect Kristian Campbell are in deep talks about a contract extension. No contract specifics were reported, but look for the Red Sox to try to secure an extension with their top prospect soon. He earned a spot on Boston's Opening Day roster and is off to a hot start in 2025. The 22-year-old is hitting .500 (5-for-10) with a home run over two games. Campbell smashed his first major-league home run off Jacob Webb in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. His homer traveled 431 feet with an exit velocity of 112.2 mph. Campbell has a ton of upside and should be added in all league formats. He's only rostered in 39% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues, especially while swinging a hot bat. Campbell will look to continue his strong start in Sunday's series finale against the Rangers.
