DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/9/16): MLB DFS Advice

The Indians made a lot of noise at the trade deadline, and a few people have said that they are the favorites to win the World Series now. Detroit seems to think otherwise, though, as they are 8-2 in their last 10 games and only 2.0 games behind Cleveland right now.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/9/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. Well, let's get down to it!

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Colorado RockiesAny time there is a game in Coors, it is likely to have the highest over/under. That's the case today, as the Rockies are -116 favorites in a game set at 12 runs. They get a good matchup against A.J. Griffin, who has a 4.05 ERA this season. The Rockies can be used in all leagues if you're playing the all day slate.

Toronto Blue JaysThe Blue Jays have a powerful offense, and they get a great matchup against Drew Smyly tonight. Smyly has a 5.83 ERA on the road this season, and the Blue Jays are -165 favorites in a game set at 9 runs. They can be stacked in all leagues tonight.

Chicago CubsThe Cubs have one of the most powerful offenses in the MLB, especially when they are playing at home. They get a great matchup against Jered Weaver, who is a fly ball pitcher, and they should be able to hit a few home runs tonight. They are -230 favorites in this game, and they can be stacked in all leagues.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Max ScherzerScherzer is an elite pitching option every time he stops on the field. Over his last 10 games, he has a 5-2 record with a 1.98 ERA and an elite strikeout rate. He gets a tough matchup against the Indians, but he's a -205 favorite in a game set at 7 runs, and he can be used in all leagues.

Marco EstradaEstrada has been enjoying an elite season for an AL pitcher. Through his first 19 starts, he has a 7-4 record with a 2.92 ERA and a decent strikeout rate. He gets a great matchup against the Rays, who have really struggled against right-handed pitching this season. The Vegas line is less than ideal, but he can still be used in all leagues.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

J.T. RealmutoRealmuto's price tag is surprisingly low tonight. He does get a tough matchup against Moore, but he's far from elite. Realmuto is hitting over .350 in his last 10 games, and he can be used in all leagues for his low price.

First Base (1B)

Joe MauerMauer has been on absolute fire recently. He's hitting around .500 with good power over his last 10 games. He's also hitting on an extremely hot offense, which gives him more opportunities to score fantasy points. He gets a great matchup against Fiers, and Mauer can be used in all leagues.

Second Base (2B)

Brandon PhillipsPhillips has really been heating up recently, as he's hitting over .400 in his last 10 games, and the majority of those hits came over his last 10 games. He has displayed a good combination of power and speed, as well. He gets a great matchup against Leake, and he can be used in all leagues.

Shortstop (SS)

Jonathan VillarVillar has been one of the hottest hitters in the Majors over his last 10 games, as he's hitting over .400 with decent power and elite speed. He gets a great matchup against Jenkins in a hitter friendly stadium, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Third Base (3B)

Kris BryantBryant has been playing well recently, as he's hitting over .300 over his last 10 games, but he hasn't displayed his usual upside. He gets a great matchup against Weaver, and the Cubs are an elite offense tonight. Bryant should be a huge part of that, and he can be used in all leagues.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Carlos GonzalezAs is the case every time CarGo plays in Coors, he is a great option tonight. He gets a good matchup against Griffin, who has struggled this season. CarGo is an elite hitter at home, and he can be used in all leagues.

Travis JankowskiJankowski is a great prospect for the Padres, as he has been enjoying a great season. He has also been playing well recently, as he is hitting over .300 with elite speed over his last 10 games. If he gets on base, he's a threat to steal, which gives him great upside. He can be used in all leagues tonight.

Trea TurnerTurner has cooled off a bit recently, but he's still an elite option. He seems to be a bit boom or bust, and he has displayed an elite combination of speed and power this season. He gets a decent matchup against Bauer, and Turner can be used in GPPs tonight.
