DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (12/4/21)

We have finally reached Championship Saturday. DraftKings put every championship game on the main slate, so this will be the only article for the day. You can find the rescheduled Cal-USC game on the late slate with Pitt-Wake and Michigan-Iowa. Not a bad late slate if I do say so myself!

Let's focus on the Championship games though. We've got some good ones! We start off at Jerry World with Oklahoma State and Baylor battling for the Big 12(10) title. We have Northern Illinois and Kent in Detroit for the MAC. Utah State heads to L.A. to face San Diego State. We have Appalachian State heading down to Lafayette to take on the Billy Napier-less Cajuns. Alabama faces Georgia in Tuscaloosa East. Houston heads up to Cincinnati as the Bearcats try to secure a playoff spot. Michigan tries to get their first playoff berth against Iowa in Indy. We close it out with Pitt playing Wake in Charlotte. This is going to be a great way to close the regular season. Don't worry....I'll have DraftKings picks all through Bowl season as well!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/4/21 locking at noon eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($9,500)

Hartman is the Wake offense. They don't even run the ball much anymore. The Wake defense gives up a ton of points, so the offense has to try and keep pace. Hartman's rushing ability puts him a touch ahead of Kenny Pickett for me. That and the fact that Pitt can and does run the ball. It's a better matchup for the Pitt backs than for Pickett, so pocketing the extra $200 and moving to Hartman makes sense in this situation.

Dustin Crum, Kent State ($8,300)

Crum put up 43.08 DraftKings points, his second-highest total of the season, on the Huskies back in Week 10 in a wild game that featured 99 total points. I wouldn't expect that kind of explosion again, but the maligned NIU defense has been under fire for a while now. Crum picked up two rushing touchdowns in that game to go with his 322 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air. Crum's rushing ability has him way up my list against a defense like this.

Jordon Brookshire, San Diego State ($5,900)

Brookshire's performance in relief of Lucas Johnson against a good Boise State team is enough for me to consider him here. Utah State's defense has improved a lot since the first month of the season, but Brookshire's benching wasn't a result of him not taking care of the ball. He has only throw one interception and lost one fumble. The leash is going to be short on Brookshire, but if he can maintain the efficiency he had last week, Brookshire can put up strong numbers for the price.

Also consider: Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati ($9,000);  Rocky Lombardi, Northern Illinois ($7,500); Levi Lewis, Louisiana ($7,000); Gerry Bohanon, Baylor ($6,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Hassan Haskins, Michigan ($8,700)

Haskins had a November to remember for the Wolverines. He racked up 571 yards and eight touchdowns in the month, including five last weekend against arch-nemesis Ohio State. He'll forever be remembered in Ann Arbor because of that game alone. Iowa's run defense has been a strength, but they have also not been as strong down the stretch. Michigan isn't afraid to keep running it at Iowa and will likely leave most of that work to Haskins. He wont score another five touchdowns, but triple digits and a score or two seems likely.

Marquez Cooper, Kent State ($6,500)

Cooper was having a solid season up until the Northern Illinois game in Week 10, but his 32.3 DraftKings points in that meeting catapulted him to a staggering 101.1 DraftKings points over the final month of the season. MACtion is a real thing, folks. The Huskies had zero answer for Cooper in the first meeting and we can't honestly say that their run defense has improved since. We could see another monster performance (his 173 yards was a season-best and the two touchdowns tied that mark) from Cooper here.

Jay Ducker, Northern Illinois ($5,600)

Ducker ran for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on Kent in the first meeting. There is still no word on Harrison Waylee, but at this point, it seems safe to say that he'll be inactive for this one. Ducker and Clint Ratkovich have done well with Waylee out. Speaking of Ratkovich, he ran for a pair of touchdowns on Kent and has seven touchdowns in the last five games. If you need the extra $1000 in a GPP, I'm not against running Ratkovich out there.

Trestan Ebner, Baylor ($5,300)

Ebner was misused or not used at all early in the season. Baylor has rectified that of late with Ebner hauling in 15 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown in the last three games of the season. He's still a bit of a risk, but Ebner has at least 11 rushes in every game since Week 6. The opportunities and his explosiveness make him the perfect GPP dart even against this stout defense.

Camerun Peoples, Appalachian State ($4,000)

Yes, Louisiana blasted the Mountaineers earlier this year, but Peoples missed that game. Having him in the fold makes Appalachian State a more balanced team. They have taken it easy with Peoples most of the season, but this is the type of game that he can take over. I like Peoples a lot as a GPP dart. He has 13 touchdowns in 10 games this season. That alone makes him worth a look at this price.

Also consider: Jerome Ford, Cincinnati ($7,100); Jaylen Warren, Oklahoma State ($6600); Chris Smith, Louisiana ($5,900); Greg Bell, San Diego State ($5,200); Rodney Hammond Jr., Pittsburgh ($4,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Jordan Addison, Pittsburgh ($9,300)

I don't know if the status of Taysir Mack matters or not. Addison has 25 receptions over the last two games with six touchdowns. We've all seen Wake's defense get lit up over and over by receivers not as talented as Addison and quarterbacks not as accurate as Pickett. We could see another 30+ DraftKings point game from Addison. That kind of ceiling is worth paying for.

Tay Martin, Oklahoma State ($7,300)

If the Cowboys throw, there's a good chance it's going to Martin. He has 23 receptions more than anyone else on the team and nearly double the yards of Brennan Presley. Martin picked up 110 receiving yards, his second-highest total of the season, in the first game with Baylor. Look for Martin to be featured prominently in the game plan once again.

Trayvon Rudolph, Northern Illinois ($6,900)

This is contingent on Rocky Lombardi playing, but Rudolph may be worth using anyway. Why? 309. What's the significance of that number? Glad you asked. That's the number of receiving yards that Rudolph had against the Flashes in Week 10. 14 receptions for 309 yards and three touchdowns. That's 65.9 DraftKings points for those of you scoring at home. I think Kent will keep marginally better track of him this time around, but even if Rudolph comes in at half that he can break a slate.

Keshunn Abram, Kent State ($5,400)

Abram took a back seat to Cephas in the first meeting, but his 138-yard performance last week means he might be gaining in favor with Dustin Crum. Abram only has three touchdowns on the season, but he still gets a heavy volume of targets (the Akron game doesn't count.....it was over in the first quarter). Abram is a cheap way to get a piece of this high-powered offense.

Sam LaPorta, Iowa ($3,600)

LaPorta leads Iowa in receptions and yards as a tight end. There's a reason for that. Iowa has arguably the worst starting quarterback(s) in the country and definitely the worst going today. LaPorta has at least three receptions in 10 of the 12 games. One of those was against Indiana State where he wasn't needed. The other was against Penn State where receivers were actually open. That's not happening tonight. I expect heavy volume for LaPorta, which makes him a safe value play in all formats.

Also consider: Jameson Williams, Alabama ($8,000); Dante Cephas, Kent State ($7,100);  Alec Pierce, Cincinnati ($6,600); Jaquarii Roberson, Wake Forest ($6,500); Brennan Presley, Oklahoma State ($5,200)
