We’ve reached the second half of the NFL season, and with the trade deadline in the rearview, fantasy managers can now fully focus on shaping their rosters for the stretch run.
This is the time of year when evaluating playoff schedules becomes crucial. Identifying players with favorable late-season matchups can be the difference between a first-round exit and a championship run.
With that in mind, here are three buy-low candidates and three sell-high options heading into Week 10:

Buy-Low Trade Targets for Fantasy Football
QB: Jaxson Dart - New York Giants
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has quickly become the story of New York sports. Since taking over in Week 4, he’s completed 109 of 175 passes for 1,175 yards with 10 touchdowns to just three interceptions.
It’s his rushing ability that has elevated him into fantasy stardom. Since Week 4, Dart leads all quarterbacks in carries (49), rushing yards (251), and rushing touchdowns (five). As a starter, he’s averaging 22.8 fantasy points per game, which is on pace to finish behind only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes.

He’s already been tested, too, facing tough matchups versus the Broncos, Chargers, and defending champion Eagles (twice). Now the schedule gets easier.
The Giants face four bottom-15 pass defenses the rest of the way, including their softest matchup yet in Week 10 against the Bears, who have surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
The Giants’ supporting cast is banged up, including injuries to Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo, but that could actually push even more designed and improvised rushing volume toward Dart, which only raises his fantasy ceiling.
If he isn’t being valued as a top-5 quarterback for the rest of the season, he’s being undervalued.
RB: Quinshon Judkins - Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins was the talk of the offseason, and he’s backed it up on the field. Through seven games, he’s handled 118 carries for 486 yards and five touchdowns, while adding 12 receptions for 60 yards in the passing game.

He exited Week 8 with a shoulder injury, but he’s off the injury report and set to go against the Jets in Week 10. The rookie didn’t get much going before leaving that game, but it's worth noting the Patriots currently boast the best run defense in the league, allowing the fewest rushing yards to opposing backs.
That’s been the theme for Judkins all year: tough matchups. Since making his debut in Week 2, Judkins has already faced five top-10 run defenses. The good news? The schedule flips in his favor.
From Week 10 onward, the Browns face four bottom-10 run defenses and won’t see a single opponent ranked inside the top 15 against running backs.
Judkins is already getting workhorse usage, and now the efficiency should improve. This is the perfect window to buy low on the rookie before his production spikes.
WR: Emeka Egbuka - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka was cooling off heading into the bye, but he looks ready to surge in the second half. Through eight games, he has caught 34 of 63 targets for 562 yards and five touchdowns, ranking as the WR12 on a per-game basis.

His recent dip in production can be tied to injuries to both him and Baker Mayfield. Egbuka suffered a hamstring issue in Week 7 and has averaged just 46.5 receiving yards per game since. That lull doesn’t reflect his true role or ceiling.
The opportunity in front of him is massive. Mike Evans is out for the fantasy season with a broken collarbone, and Chris Godwin has been shut down until late November or early December. That leaves Egbuka as the unquestioned focal point of the passing attack. With Mayfield playing at an elite level, this is a premium situation for wide receiver production.
Egbuka is positioned for heavy volume and weekly upside. He profiles as a top-10 receiver for the remainder of the season, and his pre-bye slump makes this the ideal time to acquire him at a discount.
Sell Candidates for Fantasy Football Trades
QB: Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been on a strong run for fantasy managers. Since Week 5, he’s averaging 21.6 fantasy points per game and has punched in four rushing touchdowns during that stretch (tied for the most among quarterbacks over that span).
However, this recent surge may not be sustainable. The injuries to Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) and Travis Hunter (knee) could slow down the passing attack, and while the addition of Jakobi Meyers helps, it may not be enough to offset what’s ahead.

The schedule is where the real concern lies. From Week 10 to Week 18, Jacksonville faces a top-10 pass defense in four of nine games and doesn’t draw a single bottom-tier matchup.
Included in that run is a tough three-game stretch against the Texans, Chargers, and Cardinals, which have all been playing excellent pass defense lately.
If you play in Superflex formats or picked Lawrence up as a plug-and-play starter in standard leagues, this is the time to sell high before the production dip hits.
RB: Breece Hall - New York Jets
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is coming off his best game of the season in Week 8, posting 32.9 fantasy points against the Bengals. Through eight games, Hall has racked up 759 scrimmage yards on 138 touches, but has found the end zone only twice.
He was a major storyline at the trade deadline, with reports stating that Hall wanted out of New York. However, the Jets didn’t move him, and he’ll remain on a 1-7 team that is unlikely to play with many leads the rest of the way. Negative game scripts and stacked boxes will continue to limit his weekly reliability.
The upcoming schedule only adds to the concern. Over the next two games, Hall draws the two best run defenses in the NFL, the Browns and Patriots. He also faces the Patriots again during the fantasy playoffs, which is a matchup that could decide championship outcomes.
Though it’s less likely, there’s also the possibility of Braelon Allen returning later in the season, which could cut into Hall’s workload if the Jets shift toward evaluating future pieces.
With Hall frustrated, the offense struggling, and multiple difficult matchups ahead, fantasy managers should explore trading him for a running back in a more favorable situation.
WR: Chris Olave - New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has been a volume machine to start the season. Through eight games, he’s caught 55 of 87 targets for 560 yards and three touchdowns, currently sitting as the WR17 in PPR formats.
However, with Rashid Shaheed being traded to Seattle, this may actually be the ideal moment to sell high. In Tyler Shough’s first start, Olave saw just four targets, catching three for 57 yards against the Rams. Shough should settle in with more experience, but the target funnel that existed under Spencer Rattler is unlikely to hold.

The schedule ahead is also a major concern. In the Saints’ final seven games, five come against defenses ranking inside the top 10 at limiting opposing wide receivers. Olave’s best performance of the year came against Chicago’s bottom-tier secondary, and he won’t see any matchups like that down the stretch.
There are also real durability concerns. Olave’s concussion history dates back to college and was a significant factor in his fantasy draft stock sliding this season, yet most fantasy managers have pushed that out of mind.
With a rookie quarterback under center, a tougher schedule coming, and an underlying health risk, this is a strong window to trade Olave while his perceived value remains high.
